Martin's Sewer Cleaning

I would've liked to thrown them against the wall. They told me four different times they were coming to the house, so I took off of work. They were a no call, no show. I was not happy. My time is valuable no matter who we are or what we do for a living. The owner was here and told the other guy to be here the next day; I called them heckle and jeckle. The two of them came out to look at stuff because it was flooding and I had water in the basement. They told me that they were coming back the next day and didn't show up. I had taken the day off. I called them and they said they couldn't do anything until the boss told them to come. I told them that they said they were going to come on that Monday. The work was okay. Their professionalism stinks. I had water coming up in the drain that they put in, and they questioned me on it. They should've done the work right the first time. I know plumbing is expensive, but they should've done it right and not charge me again. It just irritated the socks off of me when they questioned me when I had water coming up the drain. Their punctuality sucked. They called and said they were coming on a Saturday. They said they would be out at 9 o'clock. They didn't show up. They called at 12:30 to say they were running late. They called again at 2:30 and left a message because I was outside. They never showed up, and this was the owner of the company! They told me that the galvanized piping was crumbling from the part that was going to go under my house from the porch to the front. They hadn't replaced that section. They said they would have to tear up the front porch to get into it. I had another company that came out and camera'd it and said it would've been an unnecessary cost and that it didn't need to be done. I was very cautious about everything that was going down the commode. They were just after my money.

Nick quoted us $4000 which included installing the drainage line to the swale in the back yard to run off into the storm drain. That included filing all permits. He filed no permits. He did run the drainage line, but told us he tied it into a city water pipe instead of the swale. We had a large sink hole in the back yard that formed almost immediately after the first rainfall. He told us he would fix it in the spring. He was reminded of the necessary repairs in March and told it must be completed by end of April so our other projects could start on time. He has since missed several appointments and keeps making excuses for not showing up. I also found out he did not actually install the line into the city main. It just ends in our yard so the water has nowhere to go but up. So he has lied to me about the work performed as well as coming out to look at it. He said he inspected it the other day, but I have proof nobody ever stopped by. I would not recommend for sump pump installs due to lack of knowledge and I would not recommend for any project due to dishonesty.

Hired when sewer line faIled the day of my Moms funeral. did come out/ respond very quickly. Promised to rectify all problems within the week. STated orally, no I did not get it in detailed writing, my error, a work to be done, including tearing up concrete slab floor and replacing 60 year old cast iron drains, replacing sewer line from rear of house to city line at front . cancelled appointments several times, hindsight reveal this was to deter me form being there. I had toadjust work schedule or take vacation time , several times. pulled permit under Dearborn Plumbing and only for outside sewer line... which meant city had no comment regarding inside work not done on inside drain .. initially provided short bill of sale( with name of company Martines sewer ) , which was switched out about a week and a half latter... ( under my nose at the dining room table ) with a quick statement to me about having to hire another company to line the inside drains. ( which was NEVER done) (documented by two separate plumbing companys hired after to camera sewer and drains) DID NOT TIE IN DRAIN AROUND HOUSE TO SEWER when working.. this drain was there when he started... this caused much water and dampness issues in the house and yard , thank goodness for all the rain this spring.. it helped me KNOW he did NOT tie in is already existing drain.. already ( previously tied in to the sewer line ( with prior permit from several years ago ) the house floors became damp to the touch , moisture levels so high there was condensation ... ugh. Nick stated to me upon my questioning , with inspector of city present , that he did tie in the drain line.. He Absolutely LIED. He said he did it .. indicating he was there when the work was done. At one point threatened me , body language , terminology and voice, with if I didn't pay the balance that night he would put a builders lien on the property. A friend of the family was present that day.... No I will not pay him any more money.. he did not do work described /required. FIRST WORK FAILED INSPECTION , HE HAD TO RETURN AND TEAR UP A PORTION OF SEWER ( YARD) TO MAKE DECLINE PROPER ... left a mess, when removing patio blocks broke many, left workers gloves in soil. left construction trash ( he did come and remove some of the construction trash after I complained) . left 1/4 to 1/2 inch of clay/ soil /mud on driveway. Very smooth talking.. salesman .. appears very kind...
