Description of Work: Called because air conditioner was not working. Technician came into tell me it was going to cost around $1,000 to fix. I said I would like to look at getting a new one because mine was so old. He priced it up and said he would fix the air conditioner now so we would not have to suffer in the heat. He gave me a quote and had me initial it, then told me that if you do not buy a new one you will have to pay the $1,000 and if you do buy one - they waive the repairs. So he fixed it. Next day called other companies for quotes for new air conditioners and furnaces and Dan Woods' price was so high compared to the same equipment I could save $2,000 going with someone else. So I paid the $1,000 and went with another company because I did not trust them at this point for overpricing on the quotes for a new air conditioner and furnace. I was also told by the competitor that the $1,000 to repair was overpriced also. They make is sound like they are out for your best interest but overprice you in the end to more than make up for it the repairs the supposedly waive to purchase a new one.
