The installation is horrible, I have seam lines down the middle of my family room floor. The main stair case still has staple marks, the edges are uneven and they actually forgot parts of the stair case. I called them back and the kid had a complete attitude, he didn't want to fix it. He said it's because it's how it is. I told him he's the installer and he's supposed to cover it. I wanted him to leave, he was so horribly obnoxious. Now I'm stuck with this carpet. I paid a ton of money. This company took top of the line carpet and made it look like crap.
Description of Work: I bought top of the line carpet and padding from the Great Indoors. It was 3 stair cases and a room.

The salesman at Great Indoors was wonderful, very informative about the refrigerators we were interested in and very knowledgeable about all the different brands, but that is where the glory ended.....We were scheduled for delivery of the refrigerator (which is performed under the auspices of Sears) on September 4, 2010. The refrigerator arrived on the scheduled date with two dents in the doors and a scratch on one door. We were told that another refrigerator would be ordered and would arrive the next Tuesday. We were told it would be inspected before it was placed on the truck. On Tuesday while awaiting the delivery of the refrigerator, we received a call from the warehouse that this refrigerator also had a dent in it and we would have to order another one. This was done by the warehouse and delivery scheduled. Again we waited for the delivery and when it arrived, there was a large gash in the door of the refrigerator. The delivery personnel told us that the warehouse manager sent it out anyway even though it had the large gash in the door. By this time, we were a little irate (three refrigerators and three days of waiting) and called the warehouse ourselves. After three attempted calls, two of which after waiting for over 15 minutes on hold were disconnected, I finally spoke with the warehouse supervisor. I was assured that I could have a refrigerator on the day of my choosing first thing in the morning. The evening prior to our delivery, we received a computerized call from the warehouse that our refrigerator would be arriving at 1:45 in the afternoon. Another whole day waiting for delivery. We placed a call to the salesman to see if he could help us out. He was very compassionate and felt very bad for what had happened. We asked to speak with the sales supervisor (Rick). We were told that he was not in that day, but would call us back the next day. The next day, our salesman called us back and said that Rick asked him to call us and explain the situation. Rick did not even have the courtesy to call us back himself after three failed attempts to deliver a refrigerator to our house that we paid over $2000 for. I wrote a letter to the Sears Corporate office and have not been able to talk to anyone. They have called and left a message, but when I returned their call four different times, I get a voicemail and am never able to get to talk to anyone. Their service is terrible. They don't care about the customer and when you try to contact their service department you have to go through a phone tree and then half the time you wait for an extended amount of time and then get cut off. When you finally do reach someone, they only keep repeating the same thing, telling you that they are sorry for the inconvenience, but never make any attempt to try to make things better for you. They say that their deliveries are set up on the computer and they have no way of changing that. My question is then why would the warehouse supervisor promise me first thing in the morning delivery? They have made no attempt to resolve my anger at waiting for four different deliveries of the refrigerator. They have no consideration for a person having to work and not being able to take time off to wait for deliveries that have to be repeated time and time again until they get a piece of merchandise that is not damaged. The final refrigerator that was delivered came in a box. The box was removed at the curb before bringing it into the house. The rest of the refrigerators that came damaged were taken from the truck already out of the box. Could this be the reason that they get damaged as they get banged around in the truck? I will never buy another appliance from Sears/Great Indoors. The sales people can sell all the refrigerators they possibly can, but if the company does not back them up with a decent delivery of product, they have a real problem.

Great Indoors uses contract installers, Perfect Installs. Quality of installation is good and nice work. Install was scheduled one day before Thanksgiving and should have been one day job. Installers showed up with 2 of 4 rolls of carpet they should have had and had to leave mid day to solve problems on another job they were working on. Stayed until 9pm and got everything done except stairs. They committed to return on Friday after Thanksgiving and called off sick, saying they would be back on following Tuesday. After no show on Tuesday I called Perfect Installs, owner apologized and rescheduled to finish that Friday. They arrived and finished the Friday. Owner apologized and sent $50.00 gift certificate to make amends for earlier no show. Installers needed to seam a patterned carpet in dining room with about 7 additional pieces and work looks good. Seams are invisible. Vacuumed up when done and took most of scrap, but left larger pieces of leftover carpet for reuse
Description of Work: Carpet sale & installation for Dining Room, study, stairs, master bedroom & large walk in closet. Carpet was good quality Karastan, and got seasonal rebate discount from list price of $6,000. Good service at store from sales staff. Good value on total sale for good quality carpet

THEY HAD A GOOD SELECTION. THEY WERE ALSO VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL, AND IT ONLY TOOK THEM TWO DAYS TO FINISH THE JOB. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO OTHERS.
Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED CARPET IN SIX ROOMS OF MY HOUSE.
