Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation

The thing that impressed me the most is that they took before & after pictures. It would definitely motivate someone to get their ducts cleaned. I felt really good afterwards about having clean ducts. They made me feel as if I was breathing cleaner air.

They came on the day I was told they would be there. The technicians were nice enough and polite to me, however, they argued between themselves. I can't judge if the job they did was good or not......I suppose in time my furnace filter will be the proof of that. I was pleased when I heard that Amistee Air Duct Cleaning was contacted for my cleaning because they had a high rating on Angie's list. When they left and I went to the basement, I found that they had not cleaned up after doing the job. It was left to me to throw away the debris that they had left and sweep the floor. In my opinion, this is not a good example of professionalism.

Amistee was recommended to me by another duct company recommended by my appliance repairman that doesn't come to my area, and they were friendly and accommodating from my first phone call. They offer Saturday appointments, which is really helpful for my busy work schedule, but offered to try to move that up if another service appointment came up during the week. They called back the day before to confirm. On the day of service they kept me up to date about timing via phone as I'd requested, and were friendly and understanding. They wore show covers while in the house. They cleaned up after they were done. When it turned out that my dryer vents were actually very clean, they lowered the price and just replaced the needed product. They took photos and promised to send them quickly to me so that I can use them to discuss with my appliance repairman. I was able to use an Angie's List coupon to lower the price even more. They made every effort to accommodate my needs, and explained everything in detail.I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

It was nice of them to offer a coupon with Angie's List.They cleaned up my air vents I can tell the difference. After cleaning my air vents out I have less dust in my home.

Dan & Jimmy were on-time were shoe footies to protect floors. Explained everything in detail- very polite & knowledgeable- took 2 hrs to complete job - left no messes - very pieased and will recommend to friends - very professional - i wish more companies were like amistee.

They were great. Very easy to deal with on all levels. Always making sure they answered any questions I had. Very friendly. They pointed out that one cold air return wasn't even hooked up. Good info as it allows us to move furniture more to our liking. There was a particular problem area that took them longer than usual. Still paid the price quoted!! I love that there was no pressure to buy additional services!

The job was done extremely well, on time and with great professionalism. Every step was explained in detail and the before and after pictures are a great touch. after the job was completed they called to make sure I was satisfied. Even though I originally wanted to have the ducts sanitzed as well, the technitian after looking over my ducts, advised me against it as it would have been a waste of money in my case. This was refreshing. I would and will highly recommend Amistee to my friends.

I hired Amistee based on the positive reviews here to clean my air ducts following a renovation project. I had originally scheduled the air duct cleaning based on when my contractor said they were going to be done with the project, however when that date arrived my home was still in a dusty and incomplete state. The crew from Amistee determined it would be best to wait until the construction work was completely finished before performing the duct cleaning. I rescheduled for 2 weeks later with no hassle or penalty. When the new date rolled around, I received a call approximately 1 hour before the scheduled arrival time asking if they could come early since they had finished the previous job sooner than expected. I said sure and they were on site within 10 minutes. Since I was in the process of moving in, I also had furniture deliveries scheduled for the same date. One delivery showed up just as they were setting up for the duct cleaning, but they were very accommodating and waited patiently while the delivery crew carried in my table and chairs. Once that was out of the way, they commenced the cleaning process. The total cleaning took about 90 minutes for my 1400 square foot home. They showed me before and after photographs and even patched up some old duct work which the HVAC subcontractor had simply capped off. All in all, the crew was very friendly and professional and I would not hesitate to use them again.

The technicians called about 15 mins before they were scheduled to arrive to let us know they were on their way. They showed up on time and went right to work. They use protective pads where their hoses have to go around corners so they don't scratch/scuff walls and doors and lay tarps on the floor as needed. The job took about 2.5 hours and went well.

(See above paragraph) I received a phone call the next day to see if I was happy with the work. I also received pictures in the mail of before and after the duct cleaning was performed. I would recommend this company to anyone, actually I would HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you to Angies list also; money is to hard to come by these days to risk spending it on companies that you only hope won't rip you off.

Craig & Devoinn were very professional and did a great job cleaning our ducts and dryer vent. They thoroughly explained the process and answered all of my questions. Nice guys. I was also impressed when a manager stopped by in the middle of the job to ensure that I was happy with the work. The price I paid included $65 for the dryer vent, $65 for the sanitizing fog, and a $50 off Angie's list coupon (ducts alone would have been $400). I opted for the sanitizer because we're moving into this house, and I wanted to ensure that any mold or bacteria in the ducts was killed.

I found several A rated air duct cleaning providers on Angies List and called each for estimates. Amistee Air Duct won my business on the merits of how favorably this company compared to others in terms of the very pleasant and professional phone demeanor of the call center staff, as well as the pricing and services included in that price. The good impression I started with was reinforced by the continued excellent service. The morning of the service appointment, the staff called to let me know when they were about 10 minutes away from my home. They were on time; Barry and his colleague (training) spoke with me and outlined the service prior to beginning. Barry reviewed how the ducts would be accessed and confirmed my permission for said access. Both men were scrupulous about using drop clothes and booties on their shoes as they entered and exited the home. They were thorough, checking each vent twice to ensure complete removal of materials from the ducts. Overall, the job was completed within the time frame quoted. They graciously accepted a discount for Angies List members, left me coupons for referral incentives, and shared pictures of the ducts taken before and after the cleaning. Two thumbs up for Barry and Amistee Air Duct!

The attic insulation truck came first and the team got right to work. The two gentleman explained what they would be doing, asked where the attic entrance was, and brought their materials in. It took approximately an hour and a half and they vacuumed and cleaned up after they were finished. They also showed before/after photos which was really nice. Later in the day, the air duct cleaning crew came. They were on time, explained the process and got right to work. Again, the entire process took only about an hour and a half. Once they had finished, they explained what all they had done and again, showed before/after photos. Everyone that I dealt with was very professional and answered all of my questions. We would definitely use them again.

We called up for an estimate, and was instantly provided with the information. Scheduling was also very simple, and a reminder letter was mailed out to remind us of the service date and some things we should do ahead of time (for example, moving small decorations away from the registers and air returns). Chad and Cole were actually ready to start work before the scheduled time, we were out but they patiently waited for us in the area for 45 minutes until the scheduled time. They were courteous, organised, efficient, and after explaining what steps they would be taking, they got to work quickly. Tarps and padding were used to protect our walls and floors when they set up the pipes, and they wore disposable booties over their shoes as well. The work was finished ahead of the expected time and Chad and Cole cleared out their equipment properly and left the place clean. It was a good experience with Amistee.

The office made contact several times to answer any and all questions and even send a letter with tips and clues to make visit more efficient. The workers came on time, worked neatly and quickly. I was amazed by truck, lack of mess that they made and the transformation of my vents. They even found a toy in the vent system... and not one of ours. thank you very much. This was a great experience and we are glad that we did it.

It went great. On time, respectful of my home in every way. They wore protective footwear and padded all the corners of the walls so as not to dent/scrape the walls.

After calling and receiving an over the phone estimate, along with a lot of detailed information in response to any questions I had, I scheduled back to back appointments for my home and my parent's. The technicians arrived on time, introduced themselves, and explained in detail the work to be done. Even before starting the work, they brought to my attention a hole in my ducts that they repaired at no additional charge. During the course of the work I had a number of questions that were answered by both techs in great detail. They were both very professional. Both homes were complete in no time at all, even quicker than the original time estimate I received. Anything that had to be moved, or removed in order to complete their work was returned just as it was. I was very pleased with the before and after pictures. The ducts looked like new. After the techs left, you couldn't even tell I had any work done. They were that clean. I would recommend their services to anyone looking to get this work done.

Barry and Dave arrived on time. Chris (from the office) called prior to their arrival to tell me they may be a few minutes late as they needed to take an alternate route to my home due to an accident on the expressway. When they arrived both men introduced themselves, and asked if I had any questions prior to them beginning work. They put down cloth to protect the floors, had padding to put on the corner of the wall so that the hose didn't cause any damage, and their shoes were covered. The process was explained, and when Barry ran across a problem with the dryer duct work, he made sure to explain what the problem was and how he had corrected it. Barry and Dave were efficient, polite, and did a great job. Chris was a wonderful reflection of the company as she arranged the appointment, sent a letter prior to the date with what we needed to do prior to the date of service to make everything accessible, and called the morning of the appointment. Very professional company. I would definitely recommend Amistee Air Duct Cleaning.

I noticed that some the vents in the house did not have much flow of cold air when the air conditioning was on. Since we had never had the ducts cleaned, I thought it was time (>20 years). I used Angie's list and the yellow pages to find Amistee. They have a helpful web site, which explains in detail the process they use. They gave me a quote right over the 'phone, and I made an appointment. They were punctual, fully disclosing, and very professional. It took about two hours to get the job done. They left no mess and sent me a before and after set of photos the next day. They had warned me that cleaning the ducts might not result in increased air flow, but in our case it did. The air conditioning is running much more efficiently than before.
