Excellent customer service, price and performance. The alarm arrived within two days, and was very easy to set up. I chose this company because they had an home & yard model with a very long range. Long range means that you don't have to be close to the base unit to communicate. Verbal communication goes directly through the pendant. My father lives in a large ranch, where there are long distances from one end of the house to the other, and a mailbox at the end of the driveway. You don't need the yard feature ONLY for going outside - it's good if you have a large house where you may be too far away from the base unit for a standard model to work. I tested the alarm at all points of the house and mailbox area, including in the shower, and had absolutely no trouble contacting the alarm company. Also, they had a lock box where you can set your own combination code, so emergency responders can still get in the house if no one can open the door. There is also a battery backup on the base unit, so it continues to work during a power failure, and the company does automatic battery checks every week and the unit will notify you that the battery is ok. Excellent company and excellent product.

I ordered this product almost a year ago and of this date happily I have not had to use it. I do "call in" every once in a while to confirm that it is in good working order. So far I have no complaints.

I do test the system every month and they always answer quickly and politely. I do feel better knowing I have this backup.

The system has not been tested in a real life situation. However, after dealing with the people at Medical Alert, I feel that mom will be ok in case something happens. They seem very competent.

My system is working again. my only wish is that the new batteries had come sooner.

After buying, I determined I didn't really need it. So the purchase was a mistake.

When my grandmother lost her pendant, we ordered & paid for a new one. However, they said that as soon as we located the other one we could send the new pendant back and receive a full refund. This was very comforting knowing that my grandmother would still have the ability to use the system & we could send the new pendant back. Almost like loaning us the equipment until we were able to locate the old equipment. Since initiating service with this company, we have had to use it when my grandmother fell out of bed and was unable to get herself back up again. Once she pressed the call button, the response team was on the line within seconds, helped her to remain calm and let her know that they would be contacting me immediately. And that is exactly what they did. They made sure they were calm & helped me feel reassured when making me aware of the situation. I would recommend Medical Care Alert to any family!!

They were very nice. They read me their contract and there were a lot of things that I didn’t want to sign. I never used the system. It is so bulky the, bracelet or necklace, however you wear it. The reason why it is so bulky is, because it a two way talk system. They also called to checkup with how it was going. I then told them about how bulky the bracelet was. A nice woman was understanding and just said I could send it back and they would discontinue the service. She also mentioned that a contract would not be broken. I still have the system, but it is not activated anymore.

They provided me with an alert system. I had to sent it back. I was having an issue with setting it up. They were understandings, helpful and courteous. They even sent me out another set, but that didn’t work out either. I was having issues with connecting that to a phone line that was a fault of my home. The pricing for their product is reasonable. I wished Angie's List would let me give this company an A+ for professionalism, communication, customer service.

It is excellent and we have been using it a little over the year. My mother fell and she did not want it, after she fell the second time, I did some research and they seem to provide the best service. She had to use it twice since. When she pushes the button, the medics arrived promptly and then the Medical Alert company calls me and let me know what was going on and what they have done. They take care of everything and it is beautiful. My mother even encouraged other friends to sign up as well. I encourage anyone to get this and you cannot put a price on that.

I use this system and I have it for over a year. I have not had to use it yet. I needed some help and that was easy to get a check on the system. I contacted them for the service. I had no difficulty and everything was explained well.

The provider was very prompt in her response and the equipment arrived as promised. Unfortunately, the product did not reach the promised perimeter for the necessary coverage for my parents and I needed to return it. I am waiting to see how promptly I receive the refund.

The contacts were by telephone. The system is one in which the apparatus is sent via UPS or Fedex (I do not remember which) and arrived promptly at our door as Medical Care Alert (MCA) stated it would. As communicated by the MCA representative over the phone, the system is easy to set up and is connected through a land line phone, which we have. I had no problem setting up the equipment. However, the system did not work. MCA stayed on the phone with me, providing clear directions on steps I could take to resolve the problem. In the end, MCA determined that the equipment was faulty and they were immediately sending me out a replacement - received two days later. I set up the system with no problem and it performed perfectly. The MCA representative walked me through the steps again for set up and then for testing the equipment. My experience with MCA was a pleasure, and the equipment is easy to use and reliable. MCA recommends that users test the equipment weekly. I haven't met that schedule. However, whenever the system is tested, it works as it's supposed to work. In addition, since there is a 2nd person in the home, a second personal alarm was included without charge. Also included is a lockbox for the door handle in which a key may be locked. MCA maintains the code so that if I or any of our emergency contacts are not immediately reached, the police will be called and they will be able to gain entrance in an emergency. The cost of this service is 20%+ less than CPI. I am greatly relieved to have professional, sensitive people working with me; and well as equipment that is easy to operate and is reliable. Anyone considering installation of a medical alarm system would be wise to consider this company, Medical Care Alert.

I spoke to a sales person on September 5, 2013 after reading the website because I had some questions about the system. After speaking with her for 10 minutes, I decided to invest in the system after reading Angie's List reviews. What a nightmare. I was told I did not have to have automatic payments withdrawn from my credit card, and that I would be billed - Not true. When I asked if there was a contract, I was told no. Not true. There is an "agreement" to be signed that demands payments to be automatically withdrawn from debit or credit card. I decided to return the unit, so I called the number on the website. I was then directed to telephone number after telephone number, four in all, five counting the billing department. I learned that the unit sent me was from the Medical Care Alert sister company, ConnectAmerica.com, LLC because it was the GPS company. I was told at one point that if I returned the unit I would have to call the billing department after one to two week to check to see "if I was entitled" to a refund. I paid $119 for the first quarter. My money was credited to my credit card. The website is classic misdirection as far as price, equipment and services provided. Fortunately I have all my faculties but the poor seniors that might get the runaround who don't have all their faculties is too tragic to think about. After all this misdirection, I fear that the actual service promised may not be delivered. Health is too big a price to gamble by such deception and misdirection. Medical Care Alert does not want customers to return equipment or disconnect service, and makes it very, very difficult to communicate with the company representatives. All I wanted was to return the unused equipment without being bullied. Twice I was forced to listen to reps that argued with me after I repeatedly asked for the return address.

Initially I ordered from a different firm andthe device did not work and it was almost impossible to get customer service. Medical Care Alert was much more helpful, the device worked first time, and they can come to your home if you need help with installation.

That day she fell in the bathroom. She pressed the button to alert the service that she need assistance. The only problem was with the door closed they couldn't hear her. As per protocole the contacted emergency services and gave them the code to the lock box on the front door. Then they went down the emergency contact list till the got me and told me she had activated the signal. I left work and went home. The contacted me one more time while I was on the road to let me know they had arrived at the house. By the time I got home 20 minutes after initial contact the amubulence was just about to leave. She was okay, just pretty black and blue. It is a relief to know she had the assistance when she needed it otherwise she would have been sitting on the floor for another 2 1/2 hours and I would still have had to call 911 to get her up.

I was only checking to see that the system worked and the battery had to be changed.

It's been satisfactory. They mailed it to me and my handyman installed it. They were very nice and friendly about listening to what I wanted instead of trying to sell me more than I needed.

Very well, only at first trouble getting a spanish speaking person, but got immediately corrected.

It went extremely well, from setting up and testing the equipment to the weekly communications verification tests.

Very professional with a nice touch of friendliness. They walked me through the set up.

Our experience has been very positive. We test it once every other week, and they are very positive on the phone. They have always been very helpful.
