Medical Care Alert

We had some issues related to set-up due to the internet service in my mother's home but the staff worked with us to figure out the problem and get it resolved. I was extremely pleased with this experience and would definitely recommend their service to anyone needing a home care alert system.

Set up was easy and the monitor sits on a counter. The necklace and bracelet give a person a choice of what to wear.

My initial contact with their representatives was excellent. They were very polite, knowledgeable and professional. The equipment arrived in a timely manner. I test it once a month and always receive the same level of service as I did initially.

The pendant and lock box (like a realtor's box with house key in it so the emergency responders can get in if my door is locked) arrived promptly. The directions were clear and it was easy to set up. I did call customer service because I accidently tried to activate the pendant while I had it blocked from cell service. The representative was very nice and stayed with me until I pushed the button to test the system and got a response. So far I haven't had an emergency, and hope I never will, but it eases my heart to have this service.

ordered this for my mom. she was not happy with the customer service and they stated they did not out source but when she call for weekly battery check she found it was outsourced. she also was not able to get anyone that was able to assist with any problems and she had to escalate it several times. she stated it was a false sense of security and decided she not longer wanted it. she returned the unit. waiting on refund.

Our experience with them went fine. There is a one-time annual fee for the unit and the service. They could have been a little cheaper. It is a good quality.

The cost was about $500 a year. They could have better communications like answering about the service and some questions.

It was ok. It was for my mom. I would not say it is great. Their cheapest service which is what we were going for was not what we should have signed up for. When she presses that button it makes a lot of beeps and stuff and she is 88 and it is very discerning to her. It rings, buzzes and then is silent. When I told them this they said I should upgrade the service which is not the best way. They could have told me up front or explained when she pressed the button and gets all this stuff. I would tell my friends to keep shopping.

Fast and easy answered all questions immediately. I had delivery in 48 hours. Pendant works beautifully--quick response from the monitoring team. I bought the pendant that allows you to be covered anywhere you go and I also have the fall detection. I live alone and no longer need to worry. I would advise anyone in the same position I am in to trust this company

Works fairly well for new technology. Triggers more often than needed but that is certainly better than not triggering when needed. Response is rapid.

I like the fact that with Medical Care Alert, the voice of the assister can be heard not only through the base unit, but also through the pendant so the wearer can also be covered while out in the yard. We've received low battery alerts from the company, greatly appreciated, and help with replacing the batteries; we've also done periodic system checks with them, which they recommend, to make sure everything is working properly. We found out one night when my father accidentally engaged the pendant in his sleep just how well the system works in an emergency -- after three attempts by MCA to speak with my father via the base unit failed, EMTs were called, I was notified by phone; the EMTs and police entered Dad's house using the MCA lockbox; and since it was an accidental alert, by the time I arrived it was all safely over. But the response was immediate, according to plan, and showed us all just how well the system operates, and how well their personnel respond. Customer service has always been prompt and courteous both by phone and e-mail. I highly recommend Medical Care Alert.

I got the package I wanted, the one that best suited my needs. I certainly would recommend Medical Care Alert to any one that need protection.

I am not real thrilled with the set up I am going to send it back. The little thing that they give you to attach to your dress it is very heavy, and if I wear it on my wrist, I will beat it up so I will send it back. Another thing that I don't care for is that I got two phone calls and they thought I was Mr. Broomley and they had my number for somebody else. The price was a little expensive. The quality is excellent. It was well built and I did hit it accidentally one time, and there was a voice immediately. The responsiveness was good. I will call them and see if they have anything lighter, if not, it is going back.

It went well. It wasn't working properly but they replaced that. It works well. The mechanics of it and what it offers is pretty unique for the device. It's a little bit more expensive. If someone falls, it detects that. It's much higher being in any others. They follow up with her. It's a little bit more but it's worth it. They didn't want to replace it for a week and I had to get them to a lawsuit to get them to respond with it. All in all, it's satisfactory. Sometimes I think their customer support staff is limited. Sometimes the system is not working for over an hour. They should be more responsive with clients.

So far the jury is still out. We took a walk around the corner with it, pushed the button and it took 7 minutes for someone to answer. If my 80 year old husband is on the ground, outside somewhere, and it takes 7 minutes for them to answer, it is not okay. Their reason was they couldn't find cell signal. They are responsive and they get back to me, but that one thing is still up in the air. Their price is average, it is not great, it is just about the same as everybody else's. When you call them, they respond, except for that one issue. I think they are pretty professional. If I have to drop them and try another company then I will not be happy.

They advertised, sold, and shipped the system even though the pendant for fall protection was not available. I had to call Customer Service to report they had no included a pendant and they said they were waiting for an outside manufacturer Customer Service "has no idea" when pendants will be available.

I received the Medical Alert pendant very quickly and it was so easy to setup. Gale had given me customer service number in case I needed it, but everything was very easy. I feel more comfortable now that I can reach help where ever I am in the house or yard. Thank you for easing my fears.

It went great. They gave me information, paid to have the old one shipped back, and the new one shipped to me. They were very helpful, and there wee no problems at all.

The people were a nice but very sales oriented. They called and talked to my mother without any request or invitation on my part. They played with the price by saying they were giving me a two month discount, which turned out to be no discount based on the advertised cost on the web site. The most disturbing part of the experience was the equipment. It is advertised to be able to find you anywhere based on the GPS; however, at two different locations the GPS showed the house next door. The Assistance Team took a long time to answer the phone. They claim that they will provide a full refund, but we must pay the postage to return their equipment.

They have been very helpful and readily accessible to any questions we have had.
