Weiss Landscaping and Sod Installation, LLC

I hired Laura's company to prep and sod an entire new construction yard for me. Along with that, I had a large wrap-around river rock border bed put in. I am very happy with the results, and Laura made it very easy to coordinate things every step of the way. No time-wasting, no up-sells, no re-scheduling. Nothing negative to report. I got a couple of different quotes months back, and I did a ton of research on what I needed/wanted. I think Laura gave the best value and attitude, and that made my decision of who to ultimately use quite easy. I am pretty confident that the grass will continue to establish itself nicely. At time of writing, it's only been about 9 days since it was laid. I think they used high-quality and fresh sod, so that shouldn't be an issue. I also know that it was locally-sourced, which is certainly another positive. This time of year is ideal in many ways; a watering schedule is still needed, but it is more forgiving due to the mild temperatures and less sunlight. Of course, sod is more expensive than seed/hydro-seed, but it doesn't seem now as stark a difference as I used to think. You have to factor in your time, along with the extra watering/over-seeding/fertilizing/etc. that you otherwise wouldn't have had to do. I don't regret it, and that means a lot, as I am the type who mostly just wanted to check the boxes at the end of the day and not over-spend on this sort of project. If I do decide I want future landscaping work done someday though (or the HOA tries to enforce something like their old/vague shrub requirements), I wouldn't hesitate to bring Laura back in.

I hired Weiss Landscaping and Sod Installation to remove dead sod (grub infested) and install new sod. After the installation of the new sod I was so disappointed in the quality of work I am recommending that no one hire this company to perform sod installation. The quality of the sod that this company laid was substandard. It was brown while being taken off the pallet and was dried out more as placed on the property. I wish I had means to show the lack of quality and lack of professionalism via a photo. No one should hire this company to install sod.

This was very important to me as since COVID touched down, other pros have been unreliable and to put the icing on the cake, her rates are VERY AFFORDABLE!
