SKOOG & GILES HEATING COOLING

We had thought that we had smelled gas. We have a gas furnace. So we called our gas company to come out and check were the smell was coming from. They got here and quickly found that our furnace exhaust was not going outside like it should. it was going into the basement and staying in the house. They had no choice but to make it where the furnace couldn't work. Well that left us with no heat and it just started to get cold again. Skoog was called and they came out with-in a couple of hours. The problem could not be fixed the unit had to be replaced. They ordered the unit and had it installed right away. While we were waiting the left us with a couple of space heaters that way we had some kind of heat. The whole process took 2 days from start to finish.

When the problem was identified, we were advised that due to the lightning damage, repairing the unit would be almost as expensive as a new unit. We decided on a new unit; unit was delivered and work was completed promptly and as requested. We have used Skoog's Heating since 1986.

It was a pleasure to work with Mike and Skoog Heating from start to finish. This home is a vacation home so we had a very short window of opportunity to meet with them while we were in town. Did I mention that it was the height of the summer heat when they were swamped with air conditioning calls from others? We also had to arrange much of this over the phone and through the mail, which was an added wrinkle. They were unfailingly prompt, courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable. They disposed of the old furnace, installed the new furnace, and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with the new furnace, Skoog's service, and the price that we paid.
