Description of Work: Very efficient and friendly and a good price was quoted. We are extremely pleased with the job. We recommend taking off your own bathroom fixtures before they re-glaze. Their protection did not keep the re-glazing from removing some of the gold off our fixtures. Surface Solutions gave us a discount, and the technician came back to take the rest of the gold off the areas which had turned silver during the re-glazing. We do recommend them!"

Description of Work: They resurfaced my bathtub which turned out really nice but I also order a new drain to be installed and the installer forgot it so they just put a cap on top of my existing drain. Really disappointed in that aspect of the job.

Description of Work: Scott the owner came to our home to give an estimate. He was very nice, honest and professional. Our bathroom has wall tile in the shower (tub surround) and 1/2 way up the wall in entire bathroom. We decided on replacing the floor tile and reglazing the cast iron tub and all wall tile including tub surround. Chris, who is AWESOME, did the floor. Our house was built in 1950 so the floor had some surprises. The tile was laid on cement (poured pretty deep) which Chris removed. There was no sub floor so Chris put one in. From the basement he had to fix one area by the tub that was water damaged to the point of not being safe. Chris also gave tips/help on broken flange for toilet install. Chris was very thorough, very professional and very personable. He did the job on our home that he would do on his own home. He did not charge anything more over the estimate that was given to us for the job. Reglazing went smooth with no surprises. The entire thing took a week and the price I posted includes the 5% Angie's coupon. Very happy. Would use Surface Solutions again and would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: The worker was on time, professional, and did a great job. The service was excellent and I am very glad I decided to have the tub refinished. The price was good through Angie's List. It looked like a brand new bathtub. | |The only problem was with the quality of some of the materials used in this process. The refinished tub will stain readily and is quite difficult to clean when trying to remove stains such as from home hair coloring. I do not know if Surface Solutions could obtain more stain resistant materials or if their supplier doesn't offer other choices in material, so I cannot blame them for this. | |The caulking seal around the tub edge is also coming off now that it has been about a year though, and I would have expected that to last longer, so while as I said I cannot blame them for the glazing taking on stains easier than I thought it should it is actually quite possible that this contractor isn't using the best materials available. It might be that this is why the costs are lower.

Description of Work: We had our 1920's iron tub and tile surround glazed in white. | |The tub was not in the best shape and had some corrosion around the drain. The tile seemed to be turning color along with the grout. The whole process was quicker than I thought and the tub and the tile looked like new. This saved us a lot of time and money. We have not used the shower yet and probably won't use it that much so the 5 year warranty was a huge selling point

Description of Work: I had my current bathtub resurfaced with a "painted" type of finish and added a popup drain and special extra-large tub mat. Tub resurfacing is $265. After 24 hours, I could use the tub. There is a 5 year warranty against defects. Scratches can be repaired. |While the fumes were exhausted out a window in the next room, using a large hose, I found it extremely necessary to air out the house with fans while the four hour job was taking place. Because of the strong fumes, it would probably be best to do it in warmer weather. I am very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: They resurfaced a very worn walk in shower pan, and two double sink vanity counter tops. They just completed the work yesterday, but the gentleman that came and did the work was on time, super friendly and professional, and did a great job. In fact, we were only going to do one of the bathroom counter tops, but seeing how nice it looked after he was done, we added the second one so that both bathrooms matched. He did it the same visit. Everything came out looking great!
