They were very patient and professional. They did a very good job on my porch and I would recommend them.

The garage floor was cracked and had loose cement. I called Dave for an estimate to replace it. After speaking with him, I decided to go with him because the price seemed reasonable, and I had confidence that he was knowlegable and would do a good job. The floor looked great after he completed the work, and I would not hesitate to use him again.

Mr Evangelista was out to fix the chimney two days after he gave me the estimate. It took him about a week between when I called the company and when he gave me the estimate. the price was very fair and he did only the work that was necessary. I can tell where the joints were mortared but the chimney cap blends in well. The chimney is in the center of my house so I don't really care that you can tell.

I called Dave in April to get a quote for the work to be done. He came out and gave us a quote right away. Due to other things we were having done around the house, I couldn't have the cement poured until June. We're getting ready for a grad party in early July, and I didn't have much of a window in time to have the work done. Dave was very accommodating and worked with my tight schedule. Dave was good about keeping in touch and I felt very confident that he would get the job done when he said he would. He was always on time and very conscientious about his work. Dave did a great job and it was a pleasure working with him!

The mortar between bricks deteriorated. Dave, the owner, was honest about what needed to be done. He also repaired an unrelated small area without charge. The cleanup was fine.

We were making repairs to our house in order to put it on the market for sale. Our concrete driveway had some sections that were either broken up or had long cracks which had a negative appearance. I called Dave Evangelista who came out to give me an estimate of the work. He was very friendly, courteous and helpful in explaining what he could do and offered some suggestions on keeping the costs down. He called back with an estimate of $2100.00. We agreed on a date and time to do the work. One day he came over to take care of the cracks and caulking work. He first ground out the cracks with a grinder and then filled with caulk. When the caulk was still sticky he sprinkled mason sand over which gave it a very nice look. It took one day to remove the old concrete and set up the forms and level some areas. The next day he poured the concrete and did a beautiful and professional job. The price was what we agreed upon. I liked dealing with Dave and would call him again for this type of work.

I received estimates from several companies. A couple of the companies were in the same general ballpark regarding pricing, but this company came in at a slightly lower bid. I definitely feel that I made the right choice! Mr. Evangelista provided outstanding service, from the initial phone call to the completion of the job. He was prompt in returning my call; he provided an estimate within a day or two of my first inquiry; and he was able to come out and fix my foundation very shortly thereafter. The quality was excellent, and he even patched up a couple of small areas not included in his estimate at no extra charge.

He did an excellent job and I was satisfied with his work. His pricing was very competitive.

He did come out here to give an estimate and he was very nice. He called me back to set up the time. By the time he called me back, I had spent the money on something else. So I couldn?t do that project. He called me back even though I didn?t return his call. He went out and looked out from some bricks. I would call him back to do the job. He answered my questions and he was informative. He didn't call me right back, but he was very professional.

Evangelista was very responsive with phone calls, the quote and the job. The work was performed in an excellent manor and quickly too. The job was required to pass a city inspection and it did so without any issues. The end results were as good as new.

I called Evangalista several times in September 2009 and left voicemail messages with a description of the type of masonry work I wanted done. Noone ever returned my calls. I wonder if they are still in business.

Emailed Evangelista 2 weeks ago regarding work we were interested in having done. No response to this day.

They came on time ,they were punctual and polite.The work turned out to take more time than Mr. Evangelista first estimated due to the added thickness of the concrete pad in the backyard but they still finished in one day and he kept true to the initial price he gave me. I 'm happy with how things turned out .

The owner came out when he said he would, took measurements, and got back to me with an estimate. The price was right in middle of the estimates I got. They broke up the concrete and cleared everything away. They did a very good job with cleanup, both for the demolition and when the job was done. Then they built the forms for the walkway. There was a slight delay due to the weather. They didn't want to pour the concrete and have it ruined by the rain. They were very good about letting me know what was happening and when. The whole process took about 5 days.

Dave Evangelista came out the same day I called to give me an estimate and was able to complete the repairs the same week. He did an excellent job.

Using the recommendations on Angie's, I chose to try Evangelista for my 97 year old mother's driveway in Garden City. I initially left two messages with no response. When I finally was able to speak to someone (not sure who) he indicated that someone would contact me to set up a time for an estimate. I received a call from what turned out to be a third party that my name was obviously passed on to. I decided to give this a try and had this person, recommended by Evangelista, come out to the site. He did an overview, then came back on his own for a follow-up and that's the last we've seen of anyone. Even the estimate was never provided. I work in the Construction industry with very high-end homes and this is not the way to do business. If I am not interested in a job, I will tell the person directly and, if I have someone to recommend, I will give that reference to the potential client. I do not pretend I'm going to take care of it and then pass them on. Very unprofessional.

Excellent work! The tuck pointing (mortar repair) blends right in. I have looked at many other jobs where the mortar stuck out like a sore thumb and this was my greatest concern. Dave mixed dye into the mix to help it blend in with the old mortar and I am completely satisfied. Dave's repair on my house is the BEST I've ever seen! Hire this guy!

Dave came out and provided an estimate within 2 days of my call and completed the work as agreed upon the following week. Quality of work is very good.

Dave Evangelista came out the next day to start the work and completed it to my satisfaction in about 4 hours. The new masonry cap looks great! He cleaned up the work site of all debris.

Courteous and professional. Arrived on time. Completed work in a neat careful manner. Cleaned up thoroughly. I highly recommend this contractor.

He came out when he said he would be there. Got the job done. The job has held up so far!

Dave Evangelista called when he said he would. Brought me brick color options from which to choose. He did all work included in his estimate, for the agreed upon price. He was amenable to me doing a few prep tasks to decrease the price of the work. He cleaned up each of the 2 days he was here, so that there was no mess. I found him to be meticulous, not one to cut corners. I am highly satisfied with his work.

The brick work is beautiful. Dave Evangelista is a careful and skilled brick mason. The concrete repairs were "as expected"; that is, the end product looks good.

Very well. We felt comfortable with Evangilista and his team immediately. They explained what they would do and then followed through. They set up the forms for the walkway and confirmed we were satisfied with the layout prior to pouring. They finished the shed floor rather quickly and then moved onto finishing the porch and walkway. They also repaired the rear steps into our home and the chimney. They kept in touch with us along the way also letting us know what was going on and the status of the job. All and all it was a great experience.

Dave's assessment of of the work that needed to be done was honest and realistic, and the cost was reasonable. He responded quickly to our initial call for an estimate, and completed the work in just two days. The repairs met our expectations. The new bricks and mortar blend in with the old, and it's not at all obvious that repairs have been made. No mess was left behind for us to clean up. Honest, reliable, experienced, and skilled.
