+ -1 moreHe was wonderful, I'd highly recommend him. Now, all the trim matches, I'm quite excited about that. Now we are going to have him come put and replace all the molding around the floors so it matches the trim around the doors. He's very reasonable.
Description of Work: Dickman Construction replaced all of our bedroom, bathroom doors and the trim around the doors.

+ -1 moreHe was recommended to me by the owners of Paragon Painting. Ron was helpful, intelligent and competent from start to finish on all the projects he helped with. He also allowed me to do all the work I could and was patient and helpful as things moved forward. He and I worked together well to get the large deck completed fairly quickly. He offered valuable suggestions that helped make the end result even better.
Description of Work: Ron is an experieced contractor who helped me with a variety of projects on a house I've been doing extensive rehab work on. The projects included a small, but complicated tile project in the dining room, a difficult-to-move light fixture, finish woodwork trim, and putting in a large new deck. He didn't shy away from small, complicated projects. He wasn't cheap, but I'm much more interested in quality workmanship. We all know that you get what you pay for. And Ron's workmanship and helpful attitude made him well worth it.

+ -1 moreRon's attention to detail and to being sure it's done right the first time is impressive. It's not all that common among contractors from my experience.
Description of Work: Over the last six months I have been remodeling a home which I am now living in. I heard about Ron Dickman through some excellent painters I have worked with over the last several months (Paragon Painters in Kalamazoo). I had several small, but difficult, projects I needed help with. Ron was very competent, professional, honest and did a great job. He put in a ceramic tile floor that was not large, but kind of a tricky project. He knew exactly what he was doing and took the time to help me understand what he was doing and why. He also helped me move a chandelier in the dining room and hand some new closet doors. A lot of contractors are not very patient with this variety of smaller projects, but Ron was. He's coming back in the early spring to help me plan and install a roof deck about 22' X 12. It's a much bigger project than the other work he did, but I trust him so I'm looking forward to working with him in the spring.
