I got 4 quotes for the work I wanted and chose Lake Orion Plumbing because their price was the most reasonable. The other quotes were either too high or too low and not realistic. Lake Orion Plumbing quoted me a price for the equipment I wanted without trying to up-sell me for things I didn?t need. I checked their place of business and based on other minor repairs they had done for me in the past, which were all well done, I felt they would do a good job on this larger project. The technician worked very hard to install the system that I wanted, even though the furnace room space was very small and difficult to work in. All the employees were friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone else as their work is good and their prices are very reasonable and fair. They did a very good job for me and I am very happy with my new Trane furnace and AC system.

No issue, the guy was on time, very pleased with service.

MIService was great - beginning with the repairman arriving a bit early, saving us having to wait. He was done in less than 45 minutes and even gave us estimates on two other jobs we may want done in the future.

The blower motor on my 36 year old furnace finally went bad. I removed the motor and cage it was mounted in and took to their shop for a replacement. I wasn't sure they could find a replacement motor for such an old furnace. They got one for me and installed it in the motor cage and had it ready for me to pickup within 24 hours. The furnace and AC is working good now but the whole system should be replaced as 36 years is twice as long as the system should have lasted. I have used Lake Orion Plumbing and Heating twice in the past, once to repair my air conditioner and once to clear a plugged sewer line and both times they provided very fast service and reasonable prices for their services.

My air conditioner failed in the 90 degree weather. My wife had just come home after a serious hospital stay and was in bed rest.. I called Lake Orion PHC at 8:00 am and they said they could come out the same day at 6 pm. Once I explained my situation they sent over a technician who was doing paper work. They said he would be over between 9 - 11. He arrived at 9:05. He was friendly, professional and diagnosed the problem immediately. The cost was fair and they did not charge for an emergency service. They were done by 10 am and the house is nice and cool! 5 star service all the way.

We had the A/C go out about a year ago, that repairman stated that the system was in its last days and should be replaced. After it stopped working a week prior, I tried replacing the capacitor w/one from my neighbor - which turns out was also bad, but I didn't know that at the time, assumed the compressor was shot. Called Lk. Orion Plumbing, Heating & A/C, and they sent out Jeff, who was terrific! He called and was able to come out early, got right to it, saw the capacitor was probably bad - I asked about checking it, and Jeff explained in complete detail how to check it, the compressor, and other elements of the system - he gave me tips and lots of background to fully illustrate everything - total geek-speak, which for me was heaven (fellow geek). The best part was, when I explained what we had been told before about the imminent failure of the system, Jeff explained that, while not the top of the line equipment (nothing in the house is :-) ), the system was in good shape and he wouldn't be surprised if we got a very long life out of it - which made us VERY happy. I'm so used to being "sold" stuff whether I need it or not, it was so refreshing to have someone so honest and who obviously cares about the quality of his work and relationship with his customers. Jeff said we could get some additional improvement by deep-cleaning the condenser coils, to which I agreed - he then put on gauges to show me - before and after the cleaning - how much cooler the system ran, with lower pressure. I have heard & read good things about this company, and my experience with Jeff certainly backed all of that up - and then some! I will use Lk. Orion Plumbing, Heating & Cooling for all my HVAC needs, and will highly recommend them!

Our experience with LO Plumbing and Heating was great. When I called after hours and talked to their service I wasn't provided much information (to be expected). However, the next morning, I received a call back about 8am and my new water heater was installed within hours. The service tech was very professional by putting down protective covers on my floors when removing the old equipment and moving in the new. They even came back a few days later to take the old heater away. They would have taken the heater that day but it was still filled with water and needed to drain. Overall, a great experience.

It was pretty standard work, and everything went as expected. Plumber showed up on time as promised, performed the work as requested, very professional.

We woke up in the morning to a very cold house.. and you know how cold it's been in Feb this year ! Called based on Angie's list and my wifes input from some of her customers. Called @ 6:30am.. and they answered ! Scheduled them to come between 8-10am. Service tech arrived at 9:15.. he called at 9am to say he was on the way. The tech quickly diagnosed the problem to a bad limit swithch, and demonstrated to me how he could tell. Took on 10 minutes to swap out the bad part, and we were back in the heat. He indicated the switch could have failed on its own, or due to a pretty clogged filter... good to remember and watch from now on. Repairs done quickly and well. He gave the furnace a quick inspection as well, and said all else looks good. I was very happy with the knowledge and repair provided by the tech and the company. Would definitely use again.

I called the office Tuesday afternoon and the plumber arrived early Wednesday morning. He was courteous and knowledgeable. The problem was identified and fixed quickly. He also checked the gas line to the dryer to verify it was hooked up correctly. I will definitely use this company again if needed.

They repaired some wiring and a leaky valve and topped up my freon. AC is working fine. While he was here I asked the service technician to also look at a separate plumbing leak I had in the basement and he fixed it too at no extra charge. Very satisfied customer.

Tested capacitors. First capacitor (China made) was defective and threw sparks when voltage supplied, melted can. I already agreed to $69 fee for check up that takes less than one hour. Technician never checked factual urnace unit -- didn't even go near furnace location. Did not inspect coils there, or collector, or anything else. Got charged another $65 for capacitor (did not leave the old behind but I susptect it is a $30 item) plus another $29 for replacing it. -- it was was a one minute job. He was already being paid for being here. Was told it was not part of maintenance and a minimum 1/4 hour charge applies. So they charge 4 x $29 per hour? I have a post graduate degree and can't charge anyone that much. Do these furnace and air conmditioner people think they are rocket scientists? I have no problem paying good money for excellent and honest services but i do not think Lake Orion Heating and amp; Cooling provides it since they probably overcharge for replacement parts and charge labor fees when not warranted. I would avoid this company because I fell they are in and quot;revenue modeand quot;. They prey on the the unsuspecting and unknowing. Their rates are entirely too high.

We've used them before and always pleased w their service.

They were extremely responsive, making their first visit within a couple hours during extremely bad weather. I had to reschedule the follow up visit (the pump wasn't available during the initial visit) due to my work schedule and they were very accommodating.

Leamon was great to work with. He listened to us, made helpful suggestions and was very flexble working with us. We are pleased!

Scheduling the appointment was simple. The plumber was on time and he had a system on his truck to install that day. There were some leaks that did not present themselves until after the plumber left. However, he had mentioned that may occur as it takes time for the water tank to fill. The installation was on a Friday and I called him on Saturday morning. He came out that same day to fix the leaks. When he was finished the water in the sink and two refrigerators was working. However, the ice makers in the refrigerators were still not working. He stated it could be a specific part and that I could purchase one at a small appliance store. He also stated he could return to install the part if we could not do it ourselves. I purchased the parts and installed them and the ice makers are working great. I would highly recommend this company.

Extremely quick, efficient, and curteous. I would use them again for sure!! Great job! They even were sweet to my dog and she liked them. That is a great sign!

I would like to express my thank you to Hometown - I called this morning (7/1) and wasn't really expecting them to come out until next week (after the holiday) but they came out today. I ended up needing a new garbage disposal and they had some on their truck. They installed the new one and also repaired the leaking faucet. I also appreciated the fact that they cleaned up after themselves. Job well done! They were very professional and courteous. I will definitely call them again.

Home Town Plumbing Heating and Cooling came out twice but didn't fix the boiler. He came out and we knew that the furnace was kicking on and my husband thought it was the fan, but anyhow, he is a furnace man, so he should check everything out. But he said I think we need to replace the fan. He replaced the fan that same night it wasn't kicking on still. And we called him and told him. He came out and looked at it. And he wiggled some wires on this component and he said that's going to cost another $460. First of all we asked him do we need a new furnace? The furnace is old, it's the original with the house, I believe it was twelve years old or fourteen years old, no, no it's fixable, just fix it. I'd just fix it. We don't want to put a lot of money into this furnace and then have to put a new one in. He didn't really go to a check point, because I was down there. So they get the fan in and it wasn't kicking on, or it would run, hum and run. It wasn't blowing. So we went down, with the help my husband did on the wire and he came out and aid that's the problem there, that's going to be another $400. After we spent $425 on the fan. I said okay, here we go again. And he goes well I just tape it up for you. We will get it taped up and see if that fixes it. It continued even after that. I called him and I didn't get no response, I told his this isn't fixed and finally my husband and I said we aren't putting any more money into it, he's not responding, we are going to do some checking around and we had three different estimates and put the new one in. In the meantime I tried to call him to tell him the story, that here we've put $4.5 in and then you know you come out and do that and would you please consider giving some of our money back? We only used it a week or so. No response, I never got a response back from him. So now we got this new fan that we are going to try to sell, cause we can't get nothing out of it. It's a shame because we used a unit for heating and air because that blows your air conditioning and your heat. I'm just so aggravated because we had him before and he always did a good job. I don't know what's happened. I don't know if there is partner issues or financial issues, most people want to sell you a new furnace, I don't know if there is financial issues that he can't get the money to buy the furnaces. Make more money selling parts. I don't know. Definitely a negative, negative, "F." I called two or three times. I don't know if I would get a response now. He is very nice and I do think he knows his stuff, it's like he didn't want to, why would you want to put $800 into a furnace that's fourteen years old. I built the out in '97 and it was put in with the house and it wasn't efficient. It was efficient but not as efficient as the new ones are. If you fix one thing and you fix another, one of these days you are going to have more than it's worth it. The furnace there is a big difference in the bills.

The service man called before he came over. Installed the valve. Job took a little over a half hour. The soldering was neat and very professional looking.

I had two fourteen year old 50 gallon power vented water tanks in my basement and one began leaking around the 6th of January. After checking on Angie's List for plumbers with good reviews I called and discussed the problem with Leamon of Oxford Plumbing for possible solutions and cost estimates. Because of the age of the tanks and the costs to replace them he suggested a tankless water heater vs reinstalling two power vented water tanks for several reasons. The cost for the water heater and installation was a few hundred dollars more than the replacement of the two power vented water tanks but the life span of the tankless water heater is estimated to be significantly longer than the hot water tanks and you have an endless supply of hot water. Another benefit of the tankless water heater is in energy consumption. It will be less expensive to operate the tankless water heater than the two hot water tanks due to the fact that you are only heating water when you turn on the hot water tap and not heating and reheating water all of the time. In addtition a side benefit is that the tankless water heater is installed on the wall so it takes no floor space in the basement. After getting other estimates doing research on tankless water heaters vs hot water tanks and discussing this with my wife we decided that Leamon's recommendation and estimate was the best for us and we set up an installation date. On the day of the installation of the water heater, Leamon and his crew arrived on time and went to work immediately, they drained the old tanks, removed the old plumbing, installed the new plumbing, installed the new venting and new gas lines, removed the old tanks and cleaned up after themselves. It was a lengthly install that took around 6 hours to complete. After the installation it took a little getting used to the fact that it takes a few more seconds for the hot water to reach some of the faucets and showers that are a little farther away from the water heater, but now, after using it for a few weeks, it has performed very well and we're pleased with its operation. Oxford Plumbing took care of everything for us; they got the permit, set up the final inspection with the township and followed up after the inspection with a phone call to make sure everything went ok and asked if the new water heater was working properly and if we were pleased with its operation. I would recommend Oxford Plumbing.

I was a bit annoyed that they didn't provide a free onsite estimate when I initially contacted them. However, the service charge (that goes towards a repair) turned out to be worth it since they were prompt, provided very good explanations and performed top quality work. I have a tenant in the home and she was pleased with the service provided. I'll definitely use them in the future.

We had an old faucet that shut off water to the outside spring a major leak in our basement. I called and within 2 hours they had a plumber at our house and had the leak fixed. They replaced the old faucet with an in-line shut-off valve. While there, the fixed a leaking kitched faucet that I had been unable to six. They also tixed the drain pipe in the basement bathroom that had been causing intermitent problems. I have been using Oxford-Orion Plumbing, Heating and Cooling (now called Hometown Plumbing and Heating) for at least 8 years. In tje past I have also used them for tuning up our hot-water heating system in the fallI They have always provided me with quick response time whenever I had a plumbing problem. They have always been courteous, professional, and reasonably priced. I have no problem with recommending them for any plumbing or heating problem

The original problem is that I lost my air conditioning, all it would do is run and run and blow warm air. Upon my inspection I found that the cooling coils located in the upper portion of the furnace was caked with ice. I called Home Town Plumbing Heating and Cooling that morning and Ken, one of the repairmen, came out later that morning. Ken run several electrical checks and determined that the furnace blower motor needed to be replaced. Ken didn't have one on his truck so he said that he would go to his supplier and return later in the day. By mid afternoon Ken returned and installed the new motor and everything worked perfectly. Ken was friendly and easy to talk to and Ken's workmanship was very professional and accurate. I would definately reccomend Home Town Plumbing Heating and Cooling.
