Perfection!! These guys were the most professional, punctual, responsive and helpful contractors I've ever encountered. I described the look I wanted for my floors. They provided me samples and ideas, took into consideration site specific issues about the property and solutions for addressing those issues. They gave me options and ideas no other contractor thought of. They were so courteous as to invite me to see similar floors on a previous project, on a Saturday on their own time. They responded promptly to all of my annoying questions. They were on time with everything and exceeded my expectations. Tim C did the most incredible installation I've seen. The workmanship was unbelievable. He was beyond helpful. We had some issues with doors that he addressed and solved. I never saw anyone show more care and attention to detail. The price was extremely fair. I would never use anybody else, I wouldn't even consider anybody else.

The team did a great job of containing dust from the extensive sanding, as well as matching the new to old wood so that no one knows they weren't installed together.  We were comfortable after meeting with them to have them work in our home without us there, and we had no issues with them being responsible with our pet, home, or locking up.  Everything looks wonderful, and the owner was very helpful, responsive, and good at communicating during the process of identifying the wood, selecting the finish, and ordering the custom border.  My only slight disappointment was that in areas where the flooring met existing trimwork I wish they had been a bit more careful to make the transition less noticeable.

Went very well. Randy was punctual and professional--takes pride in what he is doing. We were grateful that he knew someone who could come and help him move heavy furniture in and out for the job at a very reasonable cost. Floors are beautiful and look like new.

First let me say that Randy is great. We found him to be very professional, friendly, and the floors look really great. Really nice attention to detail on the workmanship. You can tell he takes real pride in his craft.

We purchased our new home and had Randy do the work prior to us moving in. Randy came and met with us for the Estimate but we lived out of state during the renovation so almost all of our other communication was done via phone and email which was difficult. The only reason we did not give an A rating for Quality and Punctuality was that the upstairs and downstairs floors ended up being a different color and the job took a little longer than expected (took about 2 weeks). We had to pick colors from a online swatch (very hard to tell the actual color). Randy did the upstairs first and took some pictures. We told him that they looked very light and that we would like them darker. He changed the stain in the downstairs to Antique Brown and said he would go over the upstairs to darken the floors but they still look significantly lighter. He was also supposed to do the small upstairs bathroom but this did not get done at the same time as the other floors. He said he would come back to do this but we had already moved in our furniture and moved into the house so we chose not to have that work done amidst the chaos. He would have done this if we would have wanted it done. Also Randy had to work with some other contractors that were painting in the house but they were very accommodating in working with each other.

Overall the downstairs floors and stairway look beautiful and the upstairs is very good quality as well. I would give an A+++ if the bathroom floor would have been done and floors would have ended up being closer to the same color. My recommendation to anyone using Randy or any other floor refinishing service is to be on site and get your stain samples tested on your actual floors before the work is completed. We would have done this if we could have.

Lastly, there is still some reducer molding that is to be installed along the Fireplace that we are still awaiting completion because the material he brought originally wasn't quite the right fit.

We would definitely use Randy again if we needed any additional floor refinishing work.

The project could have taken up to 8 days, but was completed in 5 days and our kitchen remodel was completed in about 4 weeks, including new cabinets and countertops. It is a pleasure walking into our kitchen after 14 years of squeaks now at it is quiet!

The Sandman was very professional, fair, and easy to work with. He completed the work on time and went the extra mile by staying late the day he came back to fix a couple small spots and also install a new threshold that was not part of the original job. The section of new floors he installed matched up perfectly to the old floors. Overall, we were very happy with his work and would recommend him to anyone. On a side note, we felt that he was trustworthy and were comfortable with giving him the code to our house so he could work while we were out of town. We normally don't have any contractors in our house without someone being there.

Amazing service and high quality work. We received a return phone call within 24 hours and an estimate soon after. The work was completed promptly and done with minimal dust. I would definitely call again when I need another floor refinished.

We had the first half of the floors done by a different contractor, and
we were very unhappy, so we had The Sandman do the rest of the floors
and buff and put 1 more coat on the floors that they other contractor
did. The difference was night and day. Randy left almost
no dust at all in the house. The sanding job was so nice the (very old,
previously damaged) floors look perfect and like new. Randy took his
time and did a very good job. We only wish we had used him for the whole
house. We would without hesitation recommend him to others.

Overall I would highly recommend Randy for a floor restoration. He did the job himself, so if you have a larger house (ours was about 1,100 sqft of flooring), you might want to ask if he's going to bring in help. If not, be prepared for a longer process.
