Firehouse Doors

I contacted the number on our garage door for service after trying several options to fix the door. I was told the problem was with the sensors not aligning and that I could fix it myself. I told him that I had already tried to fix it prior to calling him. He said there would be a service call fee; which I assumed there would be. I finally hung up and called Precision because of his rudeness and condescending attitude. I understand that he hears this problem several times a day but isn't that what his business is; servicing garage doors? A stark contrast to the professionalism I received when I contacted Precision.

We have a commercial grade garage door opener at our personal residence that some companies are not that well versed on. They took a look and knew exactly what the problem was and were able to educate us about how this door that was new to us functions. Extremely helpful.

Jorden showed up on time and found the problem -- a faulty gear-box and replaced it. He performed his work promptly and efficiently and the door works perfectly.

It went very well. They came like the next day and fixed it. Somebody referred us to them, although I was looking on Angie's List, but we had talked to somebody in the area and they said that they were very good. I thought the price was reasonable because I had several other places too.

They answered all texts immediately, and despite the fact that I ended up going to the installer of my doors, I would recommend this firm in clear conscience for their response time and due diligence to my problem. They responded FAR faster than the firm I had install the doors in the first place. Hats off to Firehouse Doors!

We have a Liftmaster Torsion Large 2 Car garage door and the spring snapped. Found this provider on Angie's list that takes calls 24 hours a day. We called around 8pm at night on a Tuesday and got an actual person to answer the phone. They had us take a picture of the door/issue and text it to them and they called back within minutes and gave us a quote. They were able to come out the next day and were very flexible with us. They called before they left Howell so I was able to go over my lunch break and not have to miss any work. They were right on time and were done in under half an hour. Very professional and did not try to sell me anything beyond the door repair, but said that if we ever considered replacing the door they hoped we would think of them. They were fantastic so I asked for a quote so I could keep it in mind for budgeting in the future. We would use them again.

Could have sold me a 350.00 dollar opener, but just changed broken gears in current opener for 125.00. As a result, was very prompt and saved me 225.00 dollars.

I called hoping to make an appointment for the next few days. They came out within the hour. The work was done in less than 30 minutes. The gentleman was courteous, professional and very efficient. I used them based on Angie's list reviews and will definitely use them again.

I woke up to a garage door that was not working and reached out to several Angie's List providers. Mike called me back before 7am and came out same day to repair broken spring. Subsequently, I decided to purchase a new door and Mike let me use the money I spent on repair towards the new door. Very well run company who I plan to use for my future garage door needs.

It went good. They came within a week after I purchased the big deal. There were no extra charges besides the $129 big deal. They were very fast in performing the service.

I called Firehouse doors on a Wednesday morning about 11AM stating the springs had broken on the door and therefore the door would not go up even if the cord were pulled to disengage the auto part. By 11:30 AM the service truck pulled up and by 12:15 all was replaced and the door fully functional. They had put in all my garage doors (4 of them) over 10 years ago and this is the first spring to fail. With all the very cold weather, I am not surprised. I will always use Firehouse Doors whenever I am in need this type of service.

Provider did not respond to my Angie's List communications, but did when I called directly several weeks later. He did not show up at the first scheduled appointment and did not follow up until I called. He said he gave me an extra discount for the problem, but having received no initial estimate, I can't be sure he did. Provider promised delivery and installation within a week and did not follow through. I had already paid for the service in full. Again, I had to call him several weeks later to get things moving again. An appointment was set, this time I got a call 5 hours *before* the appointment, stating they were on their way. Installation was quick and correct. The young man who did the installation was very polite and moved things about in the garage to where they had been before the installation.

We have a LIFTMASTER, 1/2 hp, garage door opener. After trying to close the door, the chain fell off, and a small gear dropped out of the assembly. I researched ANGIE'S list to find a service provider. After reading the many positive reviews for FIREHOUSE DOORS LLC., I gave them a call at 8:00a.m., explained my situation, and was told someone would be out within 2 hours. The technician, Andy, arrived 1 Hour later. He explained that this was a common breakdown, and would replace the chain drive gear assembly. Andy also told me the job would be completed in about 30 minutes. Andy was prompt, courteous and professional. He was finished in the 30 minutes that he said it would take. My entire experience with FIREHOUSE DOORS LLC, was incredible. The entire time, from my request for service, to the completion of repairs was 1.5 hours. I find that kind of response to the customer top notch. I would also like to point out that FIREHOUSE DOORS LLC, never tried to sell me more than I needed. This is a well run, customer focused, company. Thank you FIREHOUSE DOORS LLC!!

Company was VERY responsive. They returned our inquiry on the day we left a message, set up a same day appointment, provided a quote, and came back later that the same day to install the fix. They were quick when they came back to fix it. No messing around, they were there to do a job and that was all. Repair rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. They knew exactly what to do.

Great; on time, quick, replaced inside opener switch as well as door bracket and motor chain.

They were able to come do the work within 48 hours. They arrived on time and completed the job quickly. The work was done well.

We would've given them an A++ rating except they have never called us back to help us with the adjustment.

We had an appointment set up for them to come and check out our garage door... they never showed up or called. Very unprofessional.

The provider was very punctual and the installers were professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the products. They answered all my questions and installed the new springs in a timely fashion. The installers also lubed up the tracks and made sure I was satisfied before they left.

Garage door spring had broken, which provider replaced same day. Very professional, great job. I would hire them again in the future.

I wish all local service companies were as good as Firehouse. Both times Ive used them they are quick, accurate, and leave no surprises when done. They arrived on time, completed the repairs quick, were pleasant to deal with, and the pricing is as competitive as anybody else Ive called. Highly recommended if you need garage door work.

Very friendly when setting up the appointment. They arrived early for appointment, which worked out good. Ordered our door and we were told it would be approx 1 1/2 weeks until it would be in for installation; however, we got a call that they had it in 4 days and they were out to install it the next day and it works beautifully. Very satisfied.
