We reserved 2 storage units. One larger than the other. When we reserved them, the rate was pro-rated until the end of the month. BUYER BEWARE: that is not the case when you vacate the unit. Their policies are apparently posted that you must complete a vacate form by the last day of the month to not have to pay for the next month. Additionally, when you vacate, the amount is not pro-rated. So, if you vacate on Sept. 2, you still have to pay for the entire month of September (no refunds). Additionally, the company will then rent out the unit on a pro-rated basis to another customer (thus receiving 2 incomes on one unit for the month.) We approached the company to vacate on Sept. 3. The Tuesday after Labor Day. Because we were out of town over the weekend and failed to provide notice on Sat. Aug. 31, they would not refund our September payment. While frustrated, but understanding they have policies, I asked the attendant if the business reputation was worth a refund of the smaller unit approx. $65. She did not seem to care that I was walking away with a bad taste in my mouth about their customer service and apparently felt that saving the $65 was more important than their reputation.
