Randy and Trent were professional and punctual. The quality of work was fantastic and what I expected from reading the other reviews. The pricing was fair. If you try hard enough you can always find someone to quote jobs at a better price. However the risk of having a crappy work or a contractor no show goes up significantly. I can't say enough good things about Randy.

Randy was on time and very thorough in the installation of our bathroom vent fan. We provided the fan and he did the rest. They made sure not to leave a mess and left everything looking very clean and finished well. We are very pleased with the result.

He did a nice job. His pricing was good. Hechecked windows since we didn't have time to check so that was really nice and I appreciated that.

He came right over and gave an estimate for the work to be completed. We needed some electrical plugs replaced and a couple put in. Also needed a closet patched and painted, a spot on the ceiling repaired, a range hood replaced, and porch light replaced. We set the date then I called 2 weeks before the appointment and asked if he could do the range hood right away. He came that very afternoon and in less than 30 minutes, took out the old one and put in the new one. He came back on the 19th and completed most all of the jobs and came back today and completed the job. The workmanship that Randy performed was top notch. I cannot see where the repaired spots are. The range hood looks great. Yes, I would definitely hire Randy again when I need a handyman. We actually left him in our home twice without a second thought - feeling he was totally trustworthy. Thank you again Randy.

We hired Randy to do some drywall repair in our finished basement due to water damage. He returned our call promptly and showed up for the estimate right on time. He could’ve done all the work the insurance company recommended, but instead was honest in saving us a few dollars by telling us he didn’t think the repair job was quite as extensive. When it came time to do the repairs, Randy called in advance to confirm, showed up again right on time and worked quickly and efficiently with very little mess (not at all what we expected when it came to drywall repair!). The best part was that he finished ahead of schedule and actually charged us significantly less than his original estimate as a result. We would highly recommend Randy for any home repair needs and would not hesitate to hire him again!

No-showed on the meeting/estimate without any communication at all. Update: I received a call a few days after this review apologizing for the no-show.

Went very well.....very pleasant & very professional. I am really pleased finding him thru Angie's List. Just hard to get him as he is pretty booked up, but well worth the wait.

Randy removed part of the kitchen cabinet and constructed the area to accommodate a built-in dishwasher. He did the pluming, electrical and carpentry to get the job done. The cabinet frame and door look like it was always there, even though the size had to be reduced to accommodate the dishwasher. Randy responded to my initial contact in a very timely manner. His communication with me was greatly appreciated. He was very dependable and professional! I would highly recommend Randy.

I have a leaking window, so I contacted several providers on Angie's List for help. Randall Meyer of HMS messaged me back right away to tell me what the cause of my problem likely was and to tell me that he wouldn't be able to help me for several weeks. I never would have guessed that my problem was caused by an ice dam. Sure enough, it was, and I was able to contact someone to help me with my problem. He helped me without even being able to perform the service. What a professional! He earned my trust. I will definitely be calling on Home Maintenance Service for future needs.

This is the second time that I've hired Randy and his son to do remodeling work in my home. Last summer they worked on my kitchen, dining room and living room. There was no question in my mind that I would use Randy again. He met with me in December to plan the job, and he made an accurate estimate of how much time would be required. He gave me dates that he would work, and he came when he said he would be here and did what he said he would do. Everything was done with quality. Trash removal and a few plumbing and electrical tasks needed to be sublet, and Randy took care of hiring and scheduling - which I completely trusted him to do. I am very pleased with the results. Randy has so many areas of expertise that I feel comfortable turning any job over to him. He gets my highest rating!

Randy worked efficiently and quietly. He was careful, thorough, and the work area was well cleaned. He provided explanations about the work he completed. He was articulate, respectful, and hardworking. He arrived on time and completed the projects promptly. The cost of the service was quoted up front and was extremely reasonable. Randy did a great job. He did all the work we talked about and we added a few additional things as we went. He was punctual, professional and takes pride in his work. He asked questions when needed and finished on the schedule he gave us at the start. His many years of experience shows. We felt the cost was very fair for the work being done.

I contacted Randy to provide a quote to hang drywall and install four (4) ceiling can lights. Randy provided a very competitive quote and was able to schedule the job quickly. Randy and his assistant were very professional and completed the project on-time. I?m very pleased with the finished product and Randy was a joy to work with. I would hire Randy again without hesitation.

My project was a "small project" based on the type of work Randy typically does, but I was still able to get into his schedule about a month after he provided the initial estimate. The original estimate was $140 + materials to replace a damaged basement window. The grand total was $165.00 for replacing the window, re-caulking a tub-surround, and insulating an additional basement window. I would highly recommend Home Maintenance Service to anyone in the area who needs some handyman work done. In my case, I am the opposite of handy. I am confident I will engage Home Maintenance Service again in the future.

Mr. Meyer replaced some exterior trim on the house which had rotted due to an overflowing gutter. He search the lumber yards to find matching trim, then caulked and painted the new trim to match. Poor weather did cause some delays, however, he stayed in contact until such time as the weather allowed him to work. He was very neat, polite and showed great detail in his work. I was pleased with his professionalism and quality!

Problem with bath tub stopper not sitting correctly and allowing water to drain. Home Maintenance performed thoroughly and professionally to correct the issue. Arrived on time, great price, will be more than happy to have additional services performed by company in the future. Highly recommended.

Thoughtful, careful, and attentive to what we wanted done. Worked steady with few breaks. Did extra things, i.e installed insulation around outside doors.

We agreed that due to scheduling issues we would seek another provider.

I can't say enough good things about Randy Meyer and the work he did for me. He was conscientious, dependable, efficient, and always did whatever it took to put quality into his work. He takes pride in quality, and was quick to tell me what it would take to "do it right." In a few instances he called my attention to minor flaws in his own workmanship that I hadn't even noticed, and voluntarily fixed things that he felt were not quite right. He was fair in his billing ? I never had a reason to question any of the invoices he sent me for time, materials, or work done. He had a key to my house and I trusted him without reservation to come into my home any time to complete tasks that needed to be done. But beyond these things, Randy spent time with me figuring out how to accomplish end results that I had in mind that didn't have an obvious solution, such as taking down a wall to make room for a bar, replacing old fluorescent lighting with new dimmable ambient lighting, and hiding wire behind woodwork for surround-sound speakers in each corner of the living room. He would call in the evening, or stop by on days he wasn't working for me, just to bounce an idea off of me, or to tell me that he'd asked someone for suggestions about something we were doing. So, I am happy to have this opportunity to offer my highest recommendation for Randy as a builder and businessman. I am certain that anyone hiring him will feel the same as I do upon the completion of the work. It will be done right, with quality, for a fair price.

It went really well. He arrived a half hour later than planned, on the first day. But everything he did was done well and professionally. Both doors he installed look really good and function properly. When I asked Randy to check an outlet for me, he was more than willing and did a wonderful job. He was friendly and cooperative when asked to do additional projects. I would use his company, again and would recommend him to anyone.

Randy was polite and professional. He did what was agreed upon...and then a couple extra things to ensure we were happy with the finished product. Randy also underbid two of his competitors that also gave us estimates. I would recommend Randy and will likely call him again if we need help with another remodel project.

He is excellent. I give him an "A" rating on price, on calling me back and promptness. He did excellent work and show you some of them.

Randy was very courteous and professional. He used drop cloths on the floor and set up his workshop in my garage. He removed the existing countertops and was very careful around my newer appliances, which I appreciate. He cut new countertops and covered with Wilsonart Beveled Edge Formica. He also added a backsplash that I picked out from a big-box store. He finished the kitchen job in four days. It was very rainy in April, so we scheduled the exterior trim work in May. Randy showed up as scheduled and tore off the old trim. He noticed dry rot above the garage and replaced the boards before covering with the composite wood. Randy did a great job and finished that job in one day.

He did a really good job and I thought the price was fair. He did other work for us a couple of years ago, so we were really pleased with him. We would recommend him to anybody.
