Other than Tim coming out immediately to survey the job my experience has been DRASTICALLY different from the other reviewers. After receiving a few quotes, I went with Michigan Custom Fence (Tim).. WORST decision I could have EVER made! I hired the company to do a landscaping job...little did I know landscaping is not their field of expertise. Tim represented himself and the company as a landscaper. My nightmare started on March 20, 2020. The quote stated it would take 4-5 days to complete the job. It is now June15, 2020 ~ that is 88 days later...but who is counting? Mind you COVID-19 played a factor...a small factor and there were some rain days ~ but his unprofessional behavior, gazillion excuses, mostly unreliable 20 somethings and working the job (he never came back to check on what or how they did.) SEVERAL no call, no shows and I could go on...but I think you get the picture. Based on other Home Advisor reviews, the dates of those reviews coincide with when he should have been working on the job he was paid for at my home...but instead he was at those homes completing those jobs...here are a few examples: One review even said after the fence was installed Tim matched it but went over and above with beautifying our surrounding landscape REALLY? I paid for a landscaping job and there is nothing beautiful about what I received. (May 14, 2020) Another reviewer said, he always communicated... well he rarely communicated with me. I had to reach out to him 3-4 times to get a short poorly written text response often days after my initial text. (June 4, 2020) And another review said, quickly got back to us with a design.. These people received a design...REALLY a design? I cannot tell you how many times I asked Tim for a design and he had one excuse after another as to why he was unable to provide me with a design concept. (May 5, 2020) Lastly, another says their work was completed within 5 days of when it started...I am at day 88...and have to hire another contractor to complete the job. (4.3.20) From my experience, Michigan Custom Fence work is HORRENDOUS, and my house is an absolute EMBARRASSMENT. He CLEARLY does not take pride in his work and is an incompetent business owner and landscaper. I held off writing this review, hoping Tim would make this right. At this point, I have no expectation of this job being completed by Michigan Custom Fence in-spite of the company getting PAID! The scope of the job changed because I had concerns early on and I should have gone with my first mind. I have since been in contact with two separate landscapers who assessed my project and needless to say, both were shocked at how a professional landscaper left my home. One even said..I have been in the business for 35 years and this is the WORST landscaping job I have ever seen. The professional landscapers also noted that although Michigan Custom Fence did do some work, what they did was worth about $200-300. Tim was given much more than a couple of hundred dollars. In my opinion Tim is a SWINDLER. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...unless you have money to throw away. Basically, I cannot speak on whether or not Michigan Custom Fence is a reputable fence building company, but I can speak on their unprofessional behavior, lack of integrity and honesty, business acumen, lack of reliability and trustworthiness. If those things are important to you then steer clear away from Michigan Custom Fence and Tim. On the other hand, if you have money to throw away and have no interest in completing your project then by all means...this is the company for you. Unfortunately, there is no way to post pictures here, but I do have before and after as well as text receipts and am willing to share.

We ve wanted a privacy ever since we moved in and after getting a quote from another fencing company, Tim matched it but went over and above with beautifying our surrounding landscape. Their work exceeded our expectations!

After receiving 2 quotes from other companies to install a privacy fence, my husband and I weren't impressed with how much we would be spending for just a plain wooden fence. We reached out to Michigan Custom Fence for a final quote, and when Tim heard about what we wanted for our fence- he quickly got back to us with a design that we were very excited about. Michigan Custom Fence was out right away to start the project and within a few days our fence was finished and it is beautiful! We have already received so many compliments on our fence from neighbors and just people passing by. We couldn't be happier that we decided to reach out to Michigan Custom Fence. They work hard and fast to get the job done and we were very satisfied with the price!

Tim was out within 24 hours with an estimate and had the job done within 5 days. Very professional, easy to contact, quick to respond. Quality work with attention to detail. I highly recommend!

Very good company. They were reasonably price and did a great job. Also went above what I expected. Very nice. Even save me money by not needing as much supplies as first thought. Would definitely recommend them.
