We purchased the coupon and they called and said they could come out that afternoon. They said they would call around 2:30 to confirm. We never heard from them. We called them and were told a truck had broken down and a tech had to go home early. They couldn't get to us until the next Monday. When the plumber did arrive, he got the jobs done very efficiently.

The representative arrived promptly on time. He inspected my boiler. He said the coils needed to be cleaned. He proceeded to complete the task. Within an hour, he was finished. He was very professional and friendly. I would recommend this company.

Technician (Chris) was prompt, polite and professional. Would be happy to recommend him to anyone.

The service person was responsible and seemed trustworthy. He was very fair with the pricing of the services he provided. The receptionist who fielded my Angie's List purchase, however, made a few mistakes. (1) She told me the service window was 2-5pm but the service person was at my home at 1:30pm ? a full 15 minutes before I arrived. (2) I was told the company would call me before a service person headed to my home, but that did not happen. When I asked about that at the end of the visit I was suddenly told that I had been repeatedly called but they couldn't get through (fast busy signal). I've been receiving calls on that phone all day and there's no reason the service person wouldn't have mentioned "By the way, in case you're having phone trouble, you should know that we haven't been able to get through to you on your phone for a while now." FInally, I made a rookie mistake ? purchasing $200 worth of value via an Angie's List "deal" for a $70 service call. I won't make that mistake again, and will probably make very few Angie's List "deal" purchases again, too. I'm definitely not a happy Angies List customer on that front.

They came back, they didn't fix it the first time but they fixed it the second time. They did a good job, they're good, they're professional and they come right out. I think they're a little expensive.

They wanted 240.00 to snake my main drain. Empire plumbing did it for 80.00!

I have used Chris before. He works fast and knows exactly what to do. Everything was great this time. He was also on time and easy to schedule with. They also let you know before they arrive.

From the initial call in the morning to schedule service to the arrival of Jeffrey and Jimmy to perform the needed services to clear our laundry room sink of a very bad clog....we were very impressed with the level of a quick response, the appointment for the same day, and the level of service we received. Jeffrey and Jimmy were professional and quick to fix the problem, to explain what they were doing and to also suggest how to avoid the same problem in the future. They were both very personable, polite and an asset to their company. I would use Cregger again and would recommend this company to friends and neighbors! We located this company on Angie's List and used a valuable coupon for this service!

The guy who came out was professional. He worked with me because this is part of a home warranty. He worked with me on that, patiently.

I have used them twice and the first time was during the winter for doing something about the sump pump. The second time that I used them, I had water backing up into the house and it ended up being a waterline break and it was the city's fault. They told us that everything inside the drain was proper and clear and that the water was coming from elsewhere. They come right away or in a timely manner. They are very explicit in terms of discussing the problem, what they are doing and why. They seem to resolve the problem as best they can. Because they could not resolve that latter problem, they made us aware of what was wrong, so we knew to call the city. I had not compared their price with anybody else at the times that they came and I was appreciative that they came right away but I do not think that their price was out of line because they spent a lot of time here on both times.

Great! We called them because of a 'gluging' noise coming from a toilet and some of the drains in one part of the house. We were feeling a bit frustrated because we were getting estimates for repairs as high as $6200. We really needed some serious answers. Jim, the tech from Cregger was prompt and courteous. He even took his shoes off at the door each time he came in. First, he used the camera to determine possible issues with the outdoor sewer lines. We ended up having a slight blockage several feet from the house. He snaked it and cleared it. He also found a "T" turn (I think that's what he called it) at the main connection which may have been causing a little slowdown at times. Other than that, everything seemed OK outside. He then used the camera inside the house, snaked it, clearing some minor build up in sewer line. Done! We then used the Angie's List coupon, so the price was just right. From the initial phone call, to the plumber visit, to the fee and follow up, Cregger was great to work with. We would definitely call them again.

We have been happy with Cregger Plumbing as our plumber of choice over the years. They are usually courteous, responsive, and thorough. I did have to ask the plumber to put a drop cloth runner down the basement carpeted stairs before he carried his equipment down, but he was happy to do it when I asked.

They did wonderful! The office and technician himself had great communication. After they completed the work, I asked them to come back out and extended the spicket. They came back out any troubles and no additional cost. They have great follow up and called to ensure everything was working properly. Everything went well.

It went fine, but for the time he spent here it seemed like it should have been a lower cost. They called at 12:15 to say he would be here shortly, he arrived 50 minutes later, and he was gone less than 20 minutes after that (10 minutes actually snaking the drain, 10 minutes bringing his materials in and out of my house). I couldn't believe how quickly he fixed it, so I was hoping to pay less than $100 but he said it was $200 because of how far he had to snake. I was able to buy the deal for $111, but otherwise this seemed like a completely arbitrary number and a bit of a rip off. I will only use them again in the future if I can obtain a reasonable quote in advance.

Hate to have to spend money on this kind of thing, but they did a great job. Came on time, rearranged schedule so that we could have indoor plumbing again. They tried everything before excavating, but had to. Found collapsed pipe.

We were very happy with the service. We just turned on the water in a 90 year old foreclosed house we just purchase. There were multiple drain problems that were fixed. On the second floor, the sink, tub and toilet were all clogged, which was fixed through cleaning the toilet. He also fixed backup in the basement that affected the laundry sink and the kitchen sink on the main floor. Overall, we thought he did a nice job. Additionally, we scheduled the work without purchasing the $111 for $200 worth of work and were going to use the $25 off coupon. Once he was there and it was apparent it would be more than $200, we bought the special deal online and applied directly to the work he was there for. Also, my wife was home alone for the service call. She is always a little concerned the contractors may try and take advantage of her lack of knowledge. She thought the plumber that came out was very nice and knowledgeable. The price was a little higher than expected, but that was because they had to clear the toilet stack and not just the sink that we thought was the only issue in that bathroom. The person taking the original appointment did identify the possibility of something like this occurring. No complaints and would use them again.

We've used Creggars in the past, they are always professional and reasonably priced. We recommend to family, friends and neighbors.

Very professional company. Called to confirm after the appointment was made, worked hard to accommodate me in the time frame I needed. Plumber who came was courteous and experienced, did a great job and saved me a little money by not replacing something I thought was broken but just needed tightening down. Did fix something I messed up (confirming my suspicion that I am NOT a plumber) and was very polite about that.

That turned out great. They had to replace some broken sewer pipes the first time and just yesterday they cleared another main drain pipe for me. I am going to put this company on speed dial. They are fair in their price, they are conscientious and helpful. They are also efficient. They guys are very professional and I wished Angie’s List would let me give them an A+.

They came out twice. I'm a little frustrated. First, when the person came out, he was unaware of what had happened -- a stick of deodorant had fallen down the toilet -- and apparently he didn't have the right equipment to work on what he thought was a slow drain (he ignored my wife telling him what it was). Then, after doing some investigation, he said he was leaving and that we needed to make another appointment for someone to come back. He estimated that the cost would be $300+ for more work (toilet removal, etc). I called them and after a conversation where the phone person again said that they didn't know the original issue ... but then she saw on her notes that I had originally said this in the first call. Ultimately, they sent someone else out who did what we originally asked -- used a snake in the toilet -- but he couldn't retrieve it. I'm hoping it won't be an issue, but I'm a little disappointed that it took 2 visits ...

Last year we hired Cregger and had Mike work on our house. He did great work and was very friendly and helpful. The total bill was approximately $2000 and we felt it was a good value. We called them first for a new larger project. Unfortunately Mike has since left the company and Kevin the new plumber lacks common courtesy. Cregger agreed to provide an estimate for the new plumbing job at our house. They provided a 1-5 window and promised to call an hour out. I got a call at 4:00 saying the plumber was on his way. At 5:30 I got a call from the Kevin indicating that my house was "too d*** far" and he "had a long day" and was therefore not going to honor the appointment nor would Cregger be wiling to do any of the work. I assumed that someone other than a Plumber would follow up with me to apologize for my inconvenience or explain their territory had changed or anything. I have not heard. This company functions as a group of individual plumbers with a common phone number. The consistency of experience relies on the individual who is assigned the job. As such, I can't provide anything other than a very poor review and a warning that the cumulative rating is not an accurate measure of current staff.

We noticed the leak on Saturday as a stain on the family room ceiling below the second floor toilet. Cregger was very responsive and sent a plumber and assistant out that afternoon. On removing the toilet, the plumber saw that the flange was cracked. He could not simply replace the flange because we had had the bathroom retiled and the floor was higher than the original floor. He said that a hole would need to be cut in the family room ceiling to get access to replace the flange with new drain pieces to raise the flange to the proper height. He plugged the drain hole because it was too big a job to be done on the spot. On Monday we called Cregger and were told that because it was a long (4 hour) job the soonest they could have someone out was Thursday. On Thursday the plumber came back (by himself this time). When he cut a hole in the ceiling he discovered that the drain pipe was also cracked, so he had to enlarge the hole to gain access further down the drain line. He replaced the drain line and flange shimmed to the correct height, remounted the toilet with wax ring, secured the toilet and caulked around the base of the toilet. He did a good job of cleaning up, include the debris from cutting the hole (he used drop clothes to protect the floor and cover a nearby piece of furniture). The whole job took him about 1-1/2 hours. The plumber was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Our only down side was the long delay in completing the job. There seemed to be a disconnect between what the plumber said (he thought he could come back on Monday or Tuesday) and the office person who scheduled us on Thursday. We were told that it was because the plumber would need a 4 hour block of time, but in fact the repair took him less than two hours.

Went really well. Dan and Jeff were both on-time and very professional. Advised my husband what needed to be done that day and what could wait. Highly recommend this company.
