Emily, the person who answered the phone was amazing. She was profession, patient, and extremely helpful. The day of service was terrible. We were given a 4 hour window of installation but installation took place 2 hours outside of the time frame. So we waited 6 hours just for someone to come to our house- no one ever called to let us know that they were running late and no apologies were ever made. When I called to see when someone would be coming to our house, Elizabeth answered the phone and was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When the installer, Anthony, arrived he was incredibly rude and seemed to be upset about something. When we asked him if he wanted any water he started ranting how upset he was that he was the only person in the company that had to work that day. He said he was tired from being at the casino the night before. He also said he was having a bad day because he had to return to THREE houses that day because apparently were leaks at each house after he left. Again, Anthony never apologized for running late. During installation Anthony asked to borrow our hose because he left it at a previous customers house. This was a huge inconvenience. After installation, Anthony tried to put the water heater out with our garbage because it was garbage day. I said that I preferred he took the heater because I was told over the phone that Creggars would take care of the old heater. Anthony seemed annoyed that he had to take care of our old heater. Anthony was left our basement pretty messy, the vent on top wasn't even secure, the top of the heater was pretty dirty, the hose thrown in the corner. Two days later my husband noticed that Creggar's installed the wrong brand. We asked for a Bradford White but a Lochinvar was installed. When I called Creggar's the owner, Derek, did contact me and said that they would be happy to switch out the heater with the Bradford White. Derek even called back the next day to check in and was very friendly. That was a nice surprise. In the end, the correct water heater was installed. The installer the second time, Jimmy, was very professional, came prepared, cleaned up well and showed up on time. Overall, I was disappointed with Creggar's because we were not compensated for this huge inconvenience. When we asked for some type of compensation, we were told that we would not be charged for the second installation. I am not sure why they would even think that we should have to pay a penny for their mistake???? Creggar's seem to say that Anthony is not representative of their company and this situation was unusual. If that is the case, I truly believe that we should have been compensated in some way for this inconvenience. Waiting around the house (6 hours once and 3 1/2 hours the other tie) for installation TWICE is not something that we should ever have to do.

They are knowledgeable and very professional. We were happy with the quality of their work and will use them again.

Plumber communicated when he would be there, and was flexible to accommodate my schedule. The work was done quickly and passed inspection without issue.

The owner has given me a credit to be used when my next plumbing problem needs attention. This good faith gesture on his part will allow me the chance to see how sincere and thorough expectations of quality service are normally provided. I am willing to give them an opportunity to prove expectations.

clean water from toilet tank and bowl flooded the first floor. Shut-off handle broke necessitating turning off the main water into the condo. The plumber arrived on time and completed the job in an efficient and capable manner. The dispatcher kept us up to date about timing.

Apparently they need to update their information on their Angie's list page. Their profile says they service Wayne, Oakland, & Macomb Counties, however we just called and they won't service Washington Township, which is in Macomb County.

From start to finish, this company was amazing. The initial person I spoke with to make the appointment was great. I had an appointment within 48 hours of calling. I was given a 4-hour window for when the plumber would arrive. I work about 10 minutes from where I live. They informed me I would get a call when the individual was on his way to my house rather than me having to sit around for 4 hours. I was able to go to work, and true to their word, I received a call when the plumber was 30 minutes away. I left work, came home, let the plumber in. Don was professional, diligent, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. While I was impressed up to that point, the next day, the company called to follow up and see how everything went. Highly Highly recommend them!

I have used Cregger in the past, and was very happy with their work. I needed a new water heater due to the flood. Emily, the office manager, scheduled a plumber the day after I called. Her follow up, helpfulness, and professionalism is top notch. Jimmy came out and installed a new water heater and lines, and noticed carbon monoxide coming out of the vent. He turned everything off, not wanting to leave us in a dangerous situation, and came back the next day with a new vent and camera to see if anything was blocking my chimney. That, coupled with a quickly scheduled chimney cleaning, took care of the problem. I really appreciate Cregger going the extra mile to make sure things were doing correctly and safely. I will definitely use them in the future, if I need a reliable plumber. Thanks!

Scheduled apt between 2 and 5 PM. At 6pm, a rude young guy shows up complaining he had been trying to call all day. Then he said maybe he had the wrong phone number. Well, I assume the office I called had caller ID, so did he check with them? He obviously had the address right. Maybe he never heard of whitepages.com and do reverse phone lookup. No follow-up from office.

Because the sink & bathtub had very old style faucets, there was a several week wait for parts to be obtained. BUT, once parts arrived service was quick. Employees who take phone calls were friendly & informed. Plumber worked quickly, explained what was done, & left jobsite clean and ready for family to use again. Thank you!

The work that they did was fine. He was very knowledgeable and explained what he did. My only concern would have been the amount that they allotted toward the job. He was here for only about 40 minutes and I had already purchased the replacement part. He just replaced the part and did a fine job, but he allotted $175 toward to the repair, which seemed high. However, their customer service did do a great job on following up.

They charged me $900 for an hours worth of work. Literally an hour. He called me when he got there and called me again when he was leaving for my credit card number. It was maybe $50 worth of material they provided. They totally took advantage of the fact that I was out of town and knew I couldn't set up another plumber in time before we got more rain. ***update*** After my review, the company called me back immediately and reviewed my invoice. They credited me $500 and apologized for the overcharge. They also said that the technician was new and was hired because of the flood for backup and was fired within that week because he was not professional. I really appreciated the immediate remedy and concern of the company.

Everything was fine. They’ve been out a couple of different times. Scheduling was good but they were called on another job, sent someone else out and ended up being about 50 minutes late for the job.

The work and scheduling were both excellent. Chris was one of the best servicemen who’s come out. He went above and beyond, even fixing my sump pump.

Very professional and the worker was great. The big deal was a decent price for replacing the hose bib. I had some other jobs I wanted done and they price by the job, not by the hour. $200 for a repair that takes 15 minutes doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

Bought a deal to fix a recurring water hammer problem and get an estimate on installing a bathroom faucet in the future. Emily, the Office Manager was very professional and scheduled appointment right away. The first plumber arrived on time and attempted to find the problem that was causing the water problem. After inspecting, he was unable to definitively find the source of the problem (However, I don't blame him, because our house is older and has gone through several renovations). But, as opposed to "pretending" that he knew the solution, he indicated that he would have to defer to a master plumber (I truly appreciated and respected the fact that he said that as opposed to pretending he knew). So instead, he gave me an estimate (which I approved) and successfully installed a bathroom faucet. He did an excellent job and the clean up was exceptional. Later that day, Emily called and indicated that a Master plumber could come out and look at the issue which was the main reason I bought the deal. Based upon my schedule, I was able to get an immediate appointment two days later. The plumber found the problem within 5 minutes and the work was completed shortly afterwards. Haven't had an issue since. Overall, I was very impressed with the professionalism, responsiveness and quality of all involved.

It when very well. I have three daughters. The shower and bathtub is used continuously. No more bathtub drain issues. I am very grateful.

All I can say is "WOW" ! Like so many others in this area, we were hit hard with a foot of water in our basement from 10" of rain in one day. We called another well-known company in the area and had an appointment for today (Saturday) - or so we thought. The other company pimped us on our appointment date, then got snotty on the phone with us. We'll never use that company again. Got on Angie's List, found Creggers right here in Fashionable Ferndale, and called around 10 am Saturday morning. Truck was here by 11 am, new hot water heater installed by noon ! Installer was friendly, worked fast, and there was little to no mess left when finished. All this AND they were also overwhelmed with service calls, PLUS today was the official kick-off for the Woodward Dream Cruise, so there thousands of folks on the road to navigate through. I still can't believe we now have hot water after waiting all this time only to be disappointed by another company. We should've called Cregger in the first place. Thanks and kudos to the office and field staff - these folks ROCK !

A foot of stormwater infiltrated our basement during a major storm in August 2014, along with half of Berkley. Our flood restoration company declared the hot water heater a likely loss, and recommended we find a plumber because they were out of water heaters. We called Cregger Plumbing that evening and within 15 minutes, a technician arranged an appointment for installation of a 40 gallon tank. We secured one of the few remaining tanks. The tech asked a few questions about the tank, identifying the one we needed, and was upfront that stock in our area was very low due to the widespread basement flooding. If we wanted another quote or company, Cregger would not mind, but needed a final decision to high demand. We arranged for an appointment first thing the next morning. Cregger's team showed up about 9:30 AM while our flood restoration company tore up our carpets, and they had no problem working around one another in our basement. The technician first looked over our existing, 8-year-old hot water heater. He checked the pipes and base, as had our restoration inspector, and tested the covered pilot light bay. There was some evidence of water and no contamination or leakage from the tank. It turned on when he tested it. He ensured the gas had a direct line, lit the pilot light, and then we waited to see whether any heat was felt inside. After an initial test, the technician resealed the bay and said we should be good to go. He encouraged us to call if we did not detect any hot water after an hour or so. Lo and behold, we had our first hot showers at home in three days after the flood. We did not need the hot water tank after all. It would have been $800 new plus the $110 inspection fee, reasonable all around.

Anthony arrived early, introduced himself and handed me a business card. Very professional first impression! He then asked me to show him the problem. He identified it immediately and retrieved the appropriate replacement part from the van. Within a matter of minutes, he had successfully welded the new faucet on. He was very careful and consciencious. Additionally, he saved me over $40 on the call by calling my attention to the Angie's List cash coupon buy for $111.00 for $200.00 worth of services. This is my second time using Cregger Plumbing. Five star service. Thanks, Anthony!
