I called this company to get an install on a tv mount. They said they could maybe put me in for the next day , if not, then the following week but said they will call me back and let me know. I waited for them to call back and confirm but never got a call. I had no issues with the price, I just wanted the tv up as soon as possible since I have two small kids who love knocking things over. I waited almost a week thinking they will call but after the week ended I had called another company who promptly gave me a appointment. They're nice people but if you're in a hurry or theres an immediate need for an handyman, try keeping other companies on your list. I'm sure these guys will eventually get to you and do a good job.

Dale was very attentive to exactly what we were looking for and responded quickly with a look--see and some suggestions. We felt comfortable that he understood our needs for these repairs. I strongly recommend Husband for a Day to anyone needing great work done by dedicated professionals. It is so gratifying to know that there are still companies you can trust like Husband for a Day. The whole team is focused on customer satisfaction. Dale?s people transformed our cedar decks into super shape. His siding replacement was very well done and blended to match the existing color. The company is a pleasure to work with ? responsive, honest and straightforward ? just what we were looking for in a contractor. With Husband for a Day, you get it all ? great results, super customer service, reasonable prices. Go ahead and comparison shop but you will not find better in this area. Husband for a Day is my first and only pick for future work at our house!

We did not end up hiring him because he was located too far away. He called us a few days after we bought the Big Deal and he told us that he already called Angie's List to refund the Deal. Had we been closer, we would have loved to hire him, he was very timely and professional.

Matt was here promptly and took care of the problem quickly. He offered oher options but DID NOT try the hard sell.

Went perfectly. Cannot say enough good things about how they did things. VERY good experience.

There was a problem with the unit itself. After many tests that the manufacture wanted done (above and beyond his requirement), he came back and did all the testing that they insisted on. He came back twice to test the unit on two different occasions. He was very professional and did an excellent job. Highly recommend this company. This company came recommended to me by two of my friends also. Haven't heard a negative thing about them.

We just used Husband-For-A-Day for a bathroom remodel and we could not be happier. We've had some iffy experiences with contractors in the past but not anymore. We will be using these guys for everything. From the time of the quote to job completion we were constantly impressed with their professionalism. Our crew, Doug and Chris, were friendly, prompt, professional, clean and very competent. They did a complete remodel in one week and that included some 'extra' work that was not anticipated. They took the time to do each phase of the job properly even if it meant more labor for them. They offered helpful opinions when asked and were never too busy to answer questions. The final result is a bathroom that we are really happy with. I highly recommend this company and definitely plan to use them again

I called Husband For A Day Inc last Wednesday and they said they couldn't get here until Monday for an estimate, 5:00. Monday they called me and said that the guy was running late and somebody would be here at 5:30. They got here and he went through everything, wrote everything down and said, "well it will be 2 or 3 days before you get an estimate". We wanted it done before the 4th of July and he said they couldn't guarantee that. I gave him my email address, yesterday they sent me an email asking me to sign a petition for them to get a loan from the government but no estimate and they still haven't given me an estimate. He was nice enough but I don't think it's professional to make somebody wait that long.

The estimate went well, they were prompt & professional. However, we decided to go with someone else.

The hourly worker arrived early. Was polite, professional and he was a very hard worker. The son was coordinating several jobs at once, spread thin. The painter wouldn't leave until he thought is was a 100%. The owner finished job and asked to return for several new job.

His price was fair. He was very late. He did not come at the time he said he was. My overall experience was fair. I would not use this company again in the future.

Team work! - Professionalism! - Genuine Concern! – Expertise! – Personal Pride! Inexpensive! These are the attributes that highlight the absolutely outstanding experience that I had with “Husband for a Day” when they remolded my bathroom shower and more. The experience began after I downloaded the information for “Husband for a Day” from “Angie’s List” and contacted the family owned business. The receptionist asked what problems I was having with the shower and then asked specific questions about what I wanted done and what I expected for a final result. I then received a call from Dale, the owner, who confirmed the date and time for the estimate. When Dale arrived to do the estimate he was very professional, engaging, and immediately made me feel comfortable about inspecting my shower—a place I was reluctant to ever let anyone see. I also showed him a problem that I was having with a 30 year old toilet, which we agreed would be better to replace. The inspection ended with him handing me a business card, exchanging emails, and an assurance that I would have a detailed estimate within three days. Two days later I received an email containing the most detailed estimate I have ever seen from any contractor. He clearly listened to my concerns and went shopping to price the items to complete the job to my very particular specifications. I was amazed. Of the four estimates I commissioned, “Husband for a Day” was the least expensive and most detailed. But this was only the beginning. Work on my shower began three days later at 9:00 AM sharp. Chris showed up tools in hand, unpacked supplies, and eagerly began the three day job by demolishing the old tiles, old cement work, and old shower fixtures. Chirs worked constantly, seriously, and meticulously. By the end of his eight hour day, the work area was cleaned and secured in preparation for the next day’s work. This professional work ethic actually went on for three more days. One day was added after Chris’ closer inspection behind the old dry wall indicated that there was not enough circulation in the bathroom to expel shower steam in a proper manner. He recommended the installation of an overhead fan. He even recommended several inexpensive and attractive models that included lighting. During installation of the fan Chris also noticed some faulty wiring, which had been contributing to shorts in two electrical outlets for years. He repaired all. He also repaired the elbow pipe under my bathroom sink. So basically, I asked for a shower repair and got my entire bathroom remolded. And get this the overall price was still lower than the closest estimate from other competitors! So, why is this so important to me such that I have written this long positive review? The name of this handyman business says it all—“Husband for a Day”. Unfortunately I lost my own husband last year and he is no longer here to help with the “honeydos”. My income is much lower these days, but “Husband for a Day” did NOT take advantage of me financially. In fact, When Doug came by to inspect the work and accept payment, I was happy to write the check—a fair exchange for professional expertise—I had my own team of four employees. They showed genuine concern for the plumbing, electrical, and cosmetic concerns I had with my bathroom. They took personal pride in their work, and they approached everything from a team concept and really made me feel comfortable to have them working in my home for four days. So, you ladies who need a husband for a day to take care of the “honeydos”—call “Husband for a Day” You guys who want to watch the game instead of fixing that leaky sink, call “Husband for a Day”! I think my own level of satisfaction is pretty clearly stated. Thanks much for being there “Husband for a Day” and thanks for making yourself available on Angie’s List. They were really good. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. Their price was pretty good. I would use them again in the future.

Everything was perfect. Arrived on time and were very professional. Floors were covered before scaffolding was put up. Very friendly as well. I would not hesitate to use them again and plan to do so in the very near future. As far as I am concerned - I have found my handyman and will not have to search for another.

There was a miscalculation on his part for the amount of tile needed. This lead to a delay since the tile had to be ordered. However, they did do a good job and I would not hesitate to hire them in the future. They were all very timely and cleaned up afterwards. Always very courteous and professional.

Dale and Jim did an excellent job on every item that was done at my house. The finished bathroom looks fantastic, as well as all of the other areas in my home that they worked in. They are very professional and keep a clean work site. I appreciate their attention to being in my home and keeping drop cloths down in the areas that they are working in and walking through. I have a list of other items that I need to get done at my house. I will definitely call these guys again to work in my home, and will recommend them to my family, friends and coworkers. I work for a company that is very sensitive to customer satisfaction, so I expect the same from anyone I hire for myself. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

They were good. I would use them again in the future.

First of all, I was astounded that he got it all done in about 45 minutes. I was afraid that the towel rack might have to be put in a slightly different location to make it secure and I would have to do a paint repair job on the wall (which has a faux finish, so repairing would be tricky). So be it if that was what would happen, but Dale was able to put it right where it had been but this time securely. The table top was installed beautifully, and the under-cabinet light is now secure and functional.

I called Husband for a Day back in November to get an estimate for the remodel of two bathrooms. Dale came out, listened to our thoughts on what we wanted done and also presented many new ideas that we hadn't even considered, all at an extremely reasonable estimate. I thought it best to complete one bathroom at a time and Dale was very patient while I went back and forth debating which items to purchase. I emailed him repeatedly for his opinion, which he promptly answered, but It was still almost two months by the time I was finally ready to schedule my remodel. He never rushed me and on a couple of occasions he even told me to take my time to make sure I was completely satisfied with what I chose. On the first day Dale came with Doug and John and the same "team" came back every day for the entire project, which lasted about 6 days. Once they got past the annoying ritual every morning of being enthusiastically greeted by the dog (which they NEVER complained about), they focused completely on the job. The first day involved tearing out my existing outdated 1980's bathroom (by covering my stairs and carpet leading to the bathroom and putting a fan in the bathroom window to draw out the dust, the tear down was very clean and only took about 1/2 a day). I purchased almost everything in advance (except a shower door), and they were able to begin the renovation immediately. Although we were concerned because we had some issues in the past with a wax ring on our toilet causing leakage, Dale went out of his way to ensure the area was completely leak-proof before installing the new toilet. Unfortunately, the kitchen ceiling directly underneath the bathroom was weak from the previous leak and suffered some cracking while the tub and toilet were being removed. Although it wasn't their fault, Dale still made sure the ceiling was completely repaired before the remodel was finished. A couple of days later he showed up with someone to repair a very small scratch in my stair railing, which I had previously told him didn't bother me at all. Finally, when the bathtub was installed I was told about a small manufacturer's defect in the tub. (Again, I would have been okay with it), Doug, however, was not pleased and even took the time to remove it, return it to the store, and exchange it for another one! The attention to detail was second to none! The tile was beautifully installed on the floor and in the shower. Next came installation of the cabinet, mirrors, sconce lighting, caulking and painting. The project lasted about one week and is almost complete except for a backordered cabinet and the shower door which it was necessary to special order. Dale and Doug came out and temporarily installed another cabinet, hooking up the plumbing so it would be functional until the correct one arrives. I can honestly say I'm very pleased with the look of my new bathroom and particularly with the excellent quality of the workmanship. Overall, my experience with Dale, Doug, John and everyone I dealt with at Husband for a Day was excellent. All of them were extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure the experience was positive and efficient from start to finish. I still have one more bathroom to remodel and will definitely be scheduling Husband for a Day in the near future for that one as well. I will recommend them to everyone I know for any remodel project they may have. Thanks guys (and Angie's list)!

They came out right away to give an estimate. Their work was outstanding. It could have been a very messy job but they kept it neat and cleaned everything up. The job was completed in one day. The people that came out to do the job were very professional. I really have nothing but good things to say about this company.h

Job went great they went above and be on what was expected. Very professional got job done despite personal family problem.Could not of asked fro better service and price. Would highly recommend fro this type job would hire again for other thing if price was right

They always showed up when they said they were, we had problems with shower panel being two big but they came the day after I called that I received the new panel and installed it that day, the whole job was done in two days.
