Very good. He caught the bad transmission fluid and on his own fixed and annoying squeak in the front end.

My first time to Griffin's and I agree with all the other reviews. Very friendly staff, professional. Explained the process and repairs thoroughly and completed the job on time. I will definitely be using them for future auto service needs.

Have used Griffin's several times. They are always professional and have proven to me they are to be trusted. Pricing is fair and I am happy to have found a place near my house that I can count on to work on my vehicles without the fear of being ripped off.

The technician(s) diagnosed and repaired the problem in just a couple of hours. Vehicle starts now and all electrical subsystems are operating again.

My car's dashboard was lighted up like 4th of July. I looked for a shop close to my work and found the provider from your website. They ran an engine scan and did it for free since I had purchased the VIP deal from your website. They provided me the estimate of how much it would take to start working on the issue since the issue was hard to identify using the scan alone. I appreciated the fact that they did not pretend to know the answer but were honest in their report. For me the honesty tops everything. They were really friendly yet professional. They even advised how I could get the issue taken care of using other means even if that meant there was nothing in it for them other than seeing my issue resolved. That tells a lot of their integrity. The next day I was there for an oil change which was also free per VIP service card. Again the service was pleasant and great. I think about continuing using Bill's shop for the needs of my vehicles and I am thankful to Angie and her team to help me find this business and benefit from their services with discounts aimed to build long term relationships.

It has been a year and we have not had a single issue with any of the work they did. They were very helpful and squeezed us in with very short notice before a last minute road trip. They stayed late on Friday until my husband got out of work to pick up the car. The even spent the time to go over each and every thing they did in detail and how much they charged us for it.

I called at 8:00 am in the morning on Friday, May 22, 2015 and indicated that my starter or solenoid was not working properly. When I asked how soon they could service my vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to service my vehicle if I could get it towed into the shop in the morning. The vehicle was delivered to Griffin's around 10:30 am. I was called in the early afternoon with the diagnosis that the starter needed to be replaced. I was a little surprised at the cost of $506.00 and did not expect it to be that expensive. I had previously called another local auto shop and asked for an estimate to replace the starter on my vehicle. I was told that the cost of $380.00 would typically be their high end charge for this service. Given that the quote I got over the phone from another vendor was a guess without seeing how the starter was designed and installed in my vehicle, my assumption is that I got a reasonable deal. When I picked up my vehicle I drove out of the driveway and had to turn back around and return to the shop. The check engine light was on. A tech hooked up his computer to the car to run a quick diagnostic. He indicated that the cause was most likely build up of carbon in the manifold affecting one of the two sensors. The tech was able to address the issue to the extent that the check engine light was off before I drove out of the driveway. He recommended cleaning or flushing the engine every 30,000 miles to prevent the build-up of carbon in the engine. I unfortunately realized that I did not get the Angie's List Discount that goes along with your first purchase after becoming a member. In the end, I would give them another opportunity to repair my vehicle.

The truck was stuck in the snow. My younger son was gunning it trying to get free. The transmission would labor in one gear and go very slowly and reluctantly change gears. I drove it to Griffins after hours and deposited the key in the drop box. They repaired it and i picked it up within a couple of days. The owner is very adamant about your vehicle being fixed correctly. He does a lot of the test driving himself. He is the type of person who remembers your name even if he has not seen you for a while. You never have to go back again for the same problem.

At a low cost and in a timely manner they identified the small issue with the AC unit draining the battery despite the car being off. Was worried that this would be a big job. Very honest mechanic.

I had obtained a quote for this same work from Suburban Jeep/Chrysler, along with a good dose of "attitude" from this dealership. Griffin's Auto Clinic was able to do the work for more than one-third less than what was quoted by Suburban. They were able to schedule me quickly and completed the work within their stated timeline. In addition, they are a friendly bunch who take the time to explain things to you in detail, in contrast to the abruptness at Suburban, which has the feel of a car repair "mill". This is the second time we have taken our car to Griffin's, and on both occasions we have been very satisfied.

Bill the owner of Griffins Auto Repair is very professional and he provided a temp rental during the repair. I appreciated that and would recommend him for further repair work.

Overall it went well! I believe the quality of the service was good (B), and everything else was A. The reason for B is just because it was my first time, and I can't decide everything on the first visit yet. Thank you very much!

Griffin correctly diagnosed the noise was coming from the front right wheel bearing something that the Mazda dealer was unable to manage. They were to repair the car that day and the cost was considerable less than what the dealer wanted for the same work. I would certainly use Griffin again to work on my cars just as certain that the Mazda deal will never see my shadow cross their threshold again.

Awesome! I had taken the Van into a local Tuffy's for thawing out our windshield fluid, and they noticed that the Power Steering Fluid was leaking. They troubleshot it and asked for $1100 for the fix. I had had a great experience with Griffin's before (Bill had told me an inexpensive way of fixing a problem on the same Van and came across as someone who was ethical and genuinely cared about his customers) and took it to them for a second opinion. They quoted me $810 for the repair and also gave me a drop home and ride back. I couldn't be more pleased.

They are very honest and professional. I really enjoyed my experience there. They even dropped me off at the nearest mall while I was waiting for the car to be done. Thank u. Keep up the good work!

I'm in love! I know that sounds crazy to say about an auto repair place, but what the owner, Bill, says in his statement is true. They treat you like family not someone just passing through their shop. It really shows that they want to build a client base, not just have customers. I got a fair price. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the work was done in a timely manner. They have a clean and comfortable place to wait. They have coffee too. :-) Bill told me about upcoming repairs that my truck will be needing, and rated them so I would know which was my priority. No up selling and no pressure, just the facts. LOVE THEM!

These guys saved my bacon. My old-but-beloved Saturn Vue had a stroke of some sort. My neighborhood mechanic (pretty good guys) couldn't get to the bottom of it, and sent me to the dealer. Owing to the ignition switch recall, the dealer told me they could look at in 10 - 14 days. Thanks a heap. Griffin's had the equipment, and the sophistication, to analyze, find and repair a deep-down electronics problem. This is more than your average level of sophistication for an independent shop. They did a great job in everything they did, and they got my car back to me the first day they had it. These guys are pros. And the owner's Mom has a car with a stick shift. No wonder he turned out okay. wtk

James, the mechanic, was very detailed with his explanations. He provided insight as to other work that had been done recently at another place that wasn't up to par. He even helped me during a phone call to the other place to get a replacement part. He went above and beyond the level for customer service. I will be returning for any future business.
