After several reschedulings by both parties, Steven and his son showed up at the agreed time to detail my classic Thunderbird. My initial impression was not good, as this looked like a mom-and-pop operation as opposed to a professional automotive detailing company. In fact, the two-man detailing team arrived to do the work with gear packed in the trunk of a rusty Cavalier. Steve was incredibly personable and we chatted quite a bit about the car and the fact that he'd done detailing for Vinsetta Garage, a classic car shop that I also knew well. That put my mind at ease somewhat, despite glancing around at the clearly well-used tools and rags they'd brought to use on my vehicle. My first indication that this job was not going to be done right was that they explained they "steam-wash" the car, as opposed to using soap and water. This does not produce a particularly clean base for waxing and other treatments. Secondly, despite mentioning it on the phone several times, they brought nothing to clean the extensive amount of chrome on my car. Inside and out the chrome pieces were covered with water spots from being wiped with a wet, dirty rag. Steve claimed the wax used on the body would also take care of the chrome. Really? I've been around collector cars for years and have never seen a detailer use body wax on chrome. That's why they make chrome cleaners! Finally, when I got in the car to drive home later that evening, was when I noticed that the body and glass wasn't done well either. The windshield and rear glass was so smeared, I had to take out my own detailing kit from the trunk to wipe it clean so I could drive. The same smudging was apparent all over the paint, particularly on the trunk. Overall, I'd say this was a poor detailing job and really a service provided by amateurs who do not have the right tools and knowledge to detail a classic (despite their website highlighting it as a specialty). They might be well-suited for cleaning the crumbs and pop spills out of your daily driver, but that's about as far as I'd go for a recommendation. I feel like I wasted $100, because I'm now going to have to re-detail the entire car myself to have it done right.

These guys waxed the outside, steamed the inside, cleaned all the carpeting and cleaned the wheels. I couldn't be happier with the job they did

Steve was great. We had to reschedule a few times because of rain, but when it got done, the inside of my car looked brand new. I was delighted with the result and the professionalism of the provider and will definitely use again!!!

Purchased the deal for $99 and then totally forgot I had purchased it! They called reminded me and set up appt. Very friendly, very professional showed up on time and did a FANTASTIC job! Would DEFF use again and have already recommended to others :) A full service car cleaning in your driveway? How awesome is that! Who could ask for anything else!

Came to my house. Father and son cleaned my car in my own driveway. They worked hard and it was a great improvement.

Sincere and dedicated - father and son performed the job. Hooked up to home electrical outlet and water for steam cleaner. Use simple equipment but effective. Convenient and reliable for detailing service at home.

Overall, it went very well. His son couldn't come out with him and it took him 4 hours to complete the job by himself.

No work was ever performed. Due to the highly unprofessioanl conduct and nature of their communications, I did not want them to work on my car. A workdate was added because the website required it.

I was not satisfied with the work at all. I would definitely, no way, recommend them, and will not go into details why.

Purchased the "big deal" and then contacted the provider. They had to delay the detailing (Michigan weather) but checked in 2 - 3 times as reminders that we had contracted for auto detailing. Once the weather permitted they scheduled an appointment, arrrived on time and completed the service as described.

He came over ... cleaned the car .. PERFECT!

This company is great! I received an immediate email response after my purchase, date for service was a couple weeks later due to the big response they got from Angie's List, but that was just fine with me. Steve was in touch with me a couple times to set up a date & time, making sure it was good for me, and touched base with me 2 days before to verify again. He is extremely polite & professional. They arrived right on time & did a wonderful job! My vehicle is 6 yrs. old and like many people these days, I'm trying to make it last. When they finished about an hr. & 1/2 later, my car was shining & immaculate inside and out! Every nook and cranny was clean as new...just what I was hoping for! I would definitely call them again and have passed out some business cards to friends & family. It couldn't be more convenient having them come right to your home instead of making an appt. to drop off your vehicle and being stuck without it. I was able to get things done around my house WHILE it was being done. I highly recommend this company!

I purchased two of these services in January as one of the Big Deals. It was clearly explained upon purchase that because this is a service that comes to YOUR location (not done indoors) that it is fully dependent on weather and temperature. I didn't plan on using this until springtime anyway, but I really appreciated Steve's proactive approach in contacting me a few weeks after my purchase to thank me and stay in touch, that he looked forward to scheduling me as soon as temps reached 60 deg or so. It just ensured that because of the nature of something purchased so far in advance he wasn't going to forget about me! He did sound a little scattered on the phone, but he was completely professional and friendly. He took the initiative to call in the spring to say "here are some days and times I can offer you, since I'll be in that area." I thought that was very convenient. He was good at returning calls, though we played a bit of phone tag getting the appointment scheduled. We discovered that we couldn't have him do the detailing at my work because they need a water source closeby. So, that's something to consider. We scheduled him to come to my home, and it turns out the water was used mostly for the steam exterior clean. He and his son showed up on time, at my house, and got started right away. They worked for close to 3 hours, and I was impressed with the results. My 2003 Mazda6 shined like new! The interior was the most work obviously, especially after a winter of no vacuuming and carting my dog around. I tipped them extra, because I'd never seen the floors so clean, even after my previous attempts of giving the car a couple hours of TLC myself in the warmer months. They were friendly to talk to, as well, and I was happy to support a small business run by two hardworking individuals. Since we still have one unused, pre-purchased deal, Steve has contacted us a couple times to keep us informed of when he's in the area, so I found that to be very nice too. He's obviously organized and follows through.

They arrived on time and worked about two hours doing a thorough cleaning on the interior, exterior and trunk. The polish job was out standing. They removed old smudges from a dealership detailer done a year earlier when they tried to remove sap marks on my hood. I was told by the dealer that was the best that could be done but now it looks really good. The chrome wheels sparkled and the armorall on the tires was great and the inside looked like you could eat off it. The best part is that they come to your place to do the job. That made it very convenient. I highly recommend Detail XPerts!

I used my vouchers from Angie's List, so I received a discounted price, but I was charged an additional fee of $30 per vehicle as they were considered "over-sized". This additional charge was outlined in the original "deal". The original service date was changed once or twice due to the provider having car problems, but we were still able to get both vehicles serviced on the same date. However, they were late in arriving, which caused our schedule to get a bit jacked up due to the delay.The work was quite good, and both vehicles were done in about 3-4 hours. A few small spots were missed under the seats of the SUV (which pop up for access) but overall it was a good, thorough job. Both vehicles smelled clean and fresh, and the upholstery in the pick up truck was significantly better than it was. Carpets were cleaned in both vehicles, and all but the most stubborn stains were removed.The group was friendly and polite, and brought all of their own supplies, needing nothing from me except an electrical outlet. They cleaned up after themselves completely. I would definitely use them again.

Fabulous - great guys, great business !

Saw Steve's company's name, Vehicle Services Group, on Angie's list and liked the idea of the detailing being done at my home verses my sitting for hours waiting at a shop. He returned my call immediately and happened to be available that day due to threatening rain. We were both willing to take a chance. It didn't rain! He came with his son, MIke. They are courteous, clean, very eager to please, and all work is eco friendly which I find very appealing. They arrived on time which I really appreciated. As it happens, car #1 had a lot of tar along the side bottoms. Cleaning it correctly required another visit back with a stronger solution. On his way to my home, he got hung up in highway construction so he called me 3 times to let me know his status. That alone is worth an A+. He had scheduled the return for 3 days later and that is when I decided to do car #2. It was clean inside but needed work outside. They were very accommodating and even did a little touch up inside. They clean up after and you'd never know they were there.

Once I purchased the coupon, I called Mr. Trotter to make an appointment. Although our location was outside his normal work radius, he was able to accommodate me within a week or so. Mr. Trotter's communications were always quite professional and courteous as we went back and forth on our appointment date and time. On the date of our appointment, Mr. Trotter called me well in advance to let me know that he would be a little late to our appointment, due to a preceding job. I work from home, so I was able to accommodate this with no problem. He then called me again when he was on his way to my house with an ETA. I truly appreciate his extra effort to call me well ahead of time with a warning that he would be late -- too often, I find we come across services that show up late or don't show up at all, with no notification. The service itself was fine. The interior of my car has been subject to life with a toddler and no cleanings for about two years now, so it required a LOT of work. While Mr. Trotter wasn't able to eliminate ALL of the stains in my carpet and floor mats, I honestly didn't expect him to, and he did as good a job as I could reasonably expect. The only nit I might have is that there were some bugs left on the front of my car, which I didn't notice until after they had left. This might be alleviated if Mr. Trotter has access to a hose during the service. All in all, this was a very positive, convenient experience at a reasonable price done by a small company with a focus on courtesy and customer communication, and I would use this service again.

Coupons purchased through Angie's list - $99 each. $30 surcharge for SUV cleaning. Steve and his team did a nice job on our full-sized SUV and full-sized sedan. They completed the work over 2 consecutive days due to scheduling issues. We had a little difficulty in scheduling our services, both due to my work schedule and Steve's schedule, but he was very good about calling or emailing to keep me updated. Having them come to my home to do the work was worth the wait. My wife and I have young children and a large dog - our vehicles haven't looked this good since they were new! Thanks.

They were late, difficult to communicate with, and did a fair job at best. Car detailing can be difficult, and I think in this case you get what you pay for. I would not use again. Having said that, they were very professional and if you're just looking for a decent "clean-up", they are ok.

They did a wonderful job. I was scheduled for August but I asked if they could fit me in imnmediately because I had family coming into town for a funeral. They worked it out for me. They arrived and got started, I ran some errands, and I returned to a sparkling clean car. Lots of compliments from the relatives. They were surprised to find out it was a 2006 - they thought it was new!

Steve was very polite and prompt , very professional and they did good work.
