They called as promised, arrived on time, did the work promptly, and cleaned up thoroughly.

Install was better than the original, done well and extra work done as needed.

I filled out a contact request on their website and they called me back within 20 minutes. They apologized for not being able to get out to my home the same day (I wasn't at all expecting them to!), but it was easy to get an appointment within 3 days of the call. Steven was very courteous, called 30 minutes before arriving, and went about his work very efficiently and carefully. The inspection report was very thorough and easy to understand. He recommended a few repairs but was honest about them not being critical (aka, there was no money grab or push for unneeded services). I will enthusiastically use Steven again and recommend him to my neighbors!

It went well. The service person had a vehicle breakdown, but was prompt with a call to let us know and getting us rescheduled quickly. I would recommend them for future work on our gas fireplace.

Very well... knew what he was going... the problem was that his truck was leaking oil and it's all over my driveway... I called, but he never returned my call. Figured he should have at least called me personally to apologize and at best offered to have it cleaned up. great guy, but shyed away from a customer service problem.

Sweep was done, not sure why cap extender not done was requested when called to make apointment. First apointment was a no show, when I called the office they told me I was scheduled for another day. Not sure what happened?

Worked out great. They were absolutely wonderful. He was just very polite he gave options, on time, he was very good.

Prompt attention, great service! Steve arrived on time, was courteous and professional, and completed the installation within minutes. I will definitely consider Detroit City Sweep again for future needs.

It was little bit frustrating, but it worked out in the end. I think they just did the quote, and they inadvertently charged us for the package that we bought from Angie's List. It took a couple of weeks to get that sorted out. The package we purchased was a hundred dollars, but the quote was roughly 5,000, but we didn't go with them

It was an experience for me. I could have done that myself. Nothing he could have done different. Was an learning experience. All he did was vacuum out the thing, and I could have done that myself.

Called ahead to let me know he was running late and asked if that would work or if I would need a new appointment. Showed up when he said he would and inspected and cleaned my chimney.

They did a fantastic job. Very thorough, no mess, put everything back together very nice.

Initial phone contact was great- professional and helpful. She (I forgot her name) even extended to me a special price that I wasn't aware of. Technician arrived on time, was courteous, and explained to me what he found and and how to go about getting it repaired. Great experience, highly recommended.

After a couple of false-starts (i.e., no-shows), we finally connected and he did a good job. Unbelievably, one of the excuses for the no-show was that they had received a "bigger job" at the last minute.

Horrible experience. The first contact was good, my fireplace was inspected and they advised me to replace the unit, ordered a replacement unit, and scheduled the next apointment to install it. On that day, the service guy was supposed to show up between 9am and 1pm. He showed up at 5:30pm and the company did not even bother calling me, I had to call them. When he showed up, it turned out that they had ordered the wrong replacement unit. We rescheduled for Tuesday the following week, and I explicitly asked to be the first customer at 9am because I could not waste anymore time. On Tuesday morning, they called me again to reschedule for the next day. On Wednesday morning the service guy called me to let him know that he would not be at my place until 11:30am. At that point I told him this would not work. He told me that he would not deal with 'pissy people' and literally hang up on me!! Needless to say that at that point I was done. I got the money I had pre-paid for the unit back after having to listen again the many reasons why things went the way they went. I have never had such a terrible service. There is one thing they should learn: when you screw up, you do not argue with the customer. This is customer service 101.

Very professional, came on time and cleaned and inspected the gas fireplace. He answered any questions I had and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend and hire again. I was very pleased with the service.

It were Great. Steve was very polite and thorough with his inspection, was honest with his recommendations, and was not pushy with any of the repairs he suggested, simply wanted to inform me of the issue and give a quote on what it would take to repair.

They were great and professional. Came out quickly and I would recommended them.

The project got cancelled the first week due to rain but wolfgang contacted me and assured me everything was going to be okay and his company's work exceeded my expectations... Action building was always on time and worked quickly and efficiently... One of the major concerns I had was tear off and clean up which they did a great job.. Any future projects I have or any of my neighbors have I will not go with anyone else....

Job was done in 2 days the clean was great. They even fixed a problem with my gutters at no extra charge :-)

Excellent. The company gave a 3 hour window and said they would call 1/2 hour before their arrival, which was very convenient for me. Chris arrived, was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He placed covers on his shoes and laid a tarp down to protect the carpet. After an inspection of the fireplace, he went to the roof to clean the chimney. He also measured and installed a chimney cap that was needed and came back inside to the clean debris from the fireplace that had fallen from the cleaning. He took pictures of the chimney crown, which showed cracks and that would need service in the future. He priced out the repair costs for two types of repair and gave me the ok to use the fireplace. It was really hot and humid outside but Chris was great, hard working, thorough, and honest. I would definitely use Detroit Chimney Sweep again.
