Excellent. Great service. Prompt. Professional.

The technician forgot to hook up the vacuum filter and blew soot throughout the house. It took Detroit City Sweep several days to get someone to come clean up the mess. By the time the cleaners showed up, the soot was in the duct work and spread through out the house. Had to throw away rugs, carpet and anything that was white because it was stained and could not be cleaned. Detroit City Sweep was responsive at first, but slow acting. When it came time to have to re-paint the house, I heard nothing after having to go and get quotes. They paid to have Stanley Steamer clean part of the house. Everything else was done on my dime.

They gentleman was very knowledgeable. There was something that I did not realize that I was supposed to have a battery in one part of the fireplace. So, he brought me up to par with that. The price was very good as well because I had checked around.

Took two separate visits and 4 scheduled appointments to get the work done. Twice the technician called at the very end of the scheduled window to say that his vehicle broke down and he would not be able to make it. The first actual visit the work was not performed correctly and I had to call and reschedule another technician to come out and correct the issues from the first visit. They did correct the issues for no extra cost, but overall I was disappointed with the service provided by the company

The contractor was very professional and polite. Cleaned the front of fireplace as well and completed every task I asked about.

He arrived on time and made sure that i understood exactly how to operate the system. No additional repairs were necessary. He also cleaned up completely prior to leaving. I will definitely contact them again. THanks! I just wish that i knew his name so that i could give him the credit that he deserves!

The tech showed up on time and had actually called more than once to make sure of a convenient time for my family. He cleaned out the fireplace and walked me through general maintenance of it so that it wouldn't get clogged and spoke about other tips to ensure safe and efficient use of the fireplace in the future.

Dan called ahead of time as per information given at the time the appointment was set up. He arrived when he said he would and was very courteous and respectful. He went right to work inspecting the fireplace. He vacuumed out all the old sand and vermiculite, cleaned and inspected all the parts on the burner and replaced everything with the new sand, etc. Fireplace looks great as it was the first time having it cleaned out since we moved here...in 2004! 😳

He found we couldn't turn it on because there was a missing pipe. $1000 to fix.

Purchased a gas fireplace tuneup for $99 through Angie's List. I was asked for three different days and times I would be available for the service to be performed and was told I would be notified to schedule an appointment. All three appointment times elapsed and nobody contacted me. I called the company and they had no clue about my purchase, but rescheduled anyways. My rescheduled appointment has come and gone and nobody showed up. Absolutely unacceptable! What a huge inconvenience. I will never do business with this company and will be asking for my money back from Angie's List.

Everything went really well. He was clean and professional. He left my house in better shape than when he found it. He cleaned up well after the work was complete. He also took the time to explain the repair and how to maintain it after he left. Overall, I would say Steven and Detroit City Sweeps provide great value for the dollar.

We scheduled for the one day we had between moving into our house and leaving to visit family. That would be Dec 23, aka the day when everyone wanted their fireplaces cleaned. He was understandably late, but he called to let us know. Once here, the service was quick and educational. We are very satisfied.

I thought the price was kind of high. They did a pretty good job. I thought they were going to do a little more repair than they did but they said I didn't really need it. A few of the screens covering the gutter looked like they needed to be replaced, but they said the didn't. All of the debris that they took out of the gutters, they left on the ground, so they didn't clean up. I had to clean that up myself. The person that came out, Dean, according to him he is the best worker they have and he is absolutely wonderful.

Very quick response, reasonable pricing, and very professional, had an issue with the throat of the chimney not being completely cleaned after departure, within a day of contacting company came back out and cleaned the throat for no extra fee and were very apologetic about the situation. Would recommend them for their promptness and professionalism for anyone near Detroit needing a sweep.
