The service provider showed up on time, did a good job, and left the job site in good, clean condition.

The technician was amazing. Cleaned the glass and all the debris inside, went outside and checked to make sure the screens were in place and working well, and adjusted the pilot. I no longer smell gas and it's burning so much cleaner (according to the color of the flame). Would definitely hire this company again when needed.

I had Detroit Chimney Sweep re-install my existing chimney cap that had blown off in a windstorm. The gentleman was thorough enough that he climbed down after install and decided that the cap wasn't straight enough when viewing from the ground, so he climbed back up on my roof a second time and readjusted the cap until it was straight. The job went very smoothly and came with a 2-year blow off guarantee. I would definitely recommend Detroit City Sweep and will call them again if the need arises.

The chimney sweeping went well. The sweep was professional and thorough, and he did a good job of cleaning up after his work. Advice on the chimney brickwork was limited, however, and a subsequent inspection by a certified mason will be required to satisfy concerns and finalize a course of action.

Dean had to make the boxes himself because the chimneys were not standard size. He did a great job once he figured out the safest way to climb my very steep roof. I was very happy with his work and the company. They called a few days later to make sure I was satisfied. Both men who came, Dean and Chris, were very competent, friendly, and professional. This is a company I would recommend.

Never heard from company. Did not acknowledge purchase or confirm for scheduling. After nearly 3wks I called company, ph clerk was unprofessional, rude and unattentive by talking, loud, fast and not listening. Felt totally disrespected as a customer. Decided I did not need this company's service!

Great! Back in fall 2916 we originally went with another company (Chimney Cricket) who did not complete the job as expected and we were unable to utilize our fireplace during the winter months. We took a chance with Detroit City Sweep April 2017, after reading great reviews, and we are so glad we did! Our unit is now fully functional and SAFE to use! Chris was our technician and he was very considerate, patient, thorough and professional. We will definitely recommend them to friends and family without hesitation!

This was an awful process. First, when they answer the phone you feel like you just woke someone up---they don't even say the company name and it seems you've just interrupted someone. Second--the technician, who is great, came and gave us an estimate. I called to set up an appointment for the work. Next---I get a call a week later asking if I want to set up the work (already did). Next- they send out a different technician to put a cap on my chimney. This wasn't the work I needed done. When I called to sort it out, they had no idea what I was talking about but kept saying "I'm sorry you are confused". I wasn't confused. They were. Luckily, I had the technicians phone number and we called him directly. Then--he comes out and builds the screen for my chimney. But, it is too windy to put it on, so he says they will send someone out Wednesday. 9 days go by. No one comes out. Screen is sitting in my yard. I call back. They say they never got the order to have someone install the screen. Why they didn't follow through, I don't know. I call technician directly, again, and he agrees to come do it. I am waiting for this to happen tomorrow. If no one comes tomorrow, I will just get another company to put the screen on. This is ridiculous. This is a horribly run company.

It went well. The service technician was punctual and very professional. He was able to refer to additional support for special technical issues.

First attempt to clean was not possible due to stripped bolt, technician called office and rescheduled with their top technician to remove glass without damaging glass. Very polite staff. Fireplace looks and works great.

They sent someone out. He was on time and was able to diagnose the problem. He said that he couldn't do the tune up we paid for until the fireplace was fixed and called his mentor who suggested a part we needed to replace. They gave me a bid, which I approved. Then...nothing. I've tried contacting them several times and have never heard back from them. It has been months, and they still have not performed the service that they were hired for.
