Westborn Electric

Called them twice the past week or so to schedule a free estimate for some electrical work I might have done, and they never called me back. Must be nice to have so much work you can ignore potential customers. I had their business card from back when, but that's now in the trash and will be calling someone else.

Fast, work was well done, professional

They are knowledgeable, they professional and I am satisfied. They are very good.

First off, everything Westborn electric did is on camera from my home security system. I will never recommend Westborn electric or do business with this place ever again. Extremely rude head electrician along with the owner, Mark. I was told by the owner “He’s moving the pump out of the way and trying to extend it around the pool” in a text after the owner yelled at me on the phone when I have every right to know what is going on in my yard. The pump is not close enough to the box because the short fuse guy goes- I’m not moving the pump! The whole point for this visit was to get the pool running and pass. The head electrician didn’t move the pump at all and the pole they installed- they didn’t even cement down. It wobbles all over the place. Not safe when u have a ton of kids. Just because u r having a bad day and have 30 years in the business- so what- doesn’t mean u take it out on your customers. I did nothing wrong. I offered them water and tried to make sure we were all on the same page which we were not. I never received a written estimate either of exactly what was going to be done, just verbal. The head electrician has a short fuse- not my fault and so what- u do not treat your customers this way and the owner knows he has a short fuse and sent him to my house anyway - why should I have to deal with him? I was nothing but polite to the owner when I met him and to his workers until this head electrician got an attitude - maybe he doesn’t like his job and maybe should not be sent out to do work for the owner regardless of why!!! The inspector said the pole had to be moved 6 feet away from pool. He moves it 5 feet and a little he said. When I called the owner he blocked me because I was telling him how his worker was acting. Very unprofessional and very rude company and an extremely sloppy job and not done according to what the owner texted to me would be done at all. Then the head electrical was like ugh when I asked him to put paid in full instead of just paid on the receipt then started yelling at me to hurry up because they were late. Completely unfair and ridiculous!

Christian and Matthew were very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. They were quick to diagnose the problem areas and were able to correct both problems quickly and effectively. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again should any need arise!!

Excellent company. No electrical company from Monroe County, Michigan, would return my call. Westborn came from Dearborn Heights to my home in Newport, Michigan. Wonderful electricians. Worth every dime of the $165.00 they charged.

I would not recommend. While the person who answered to schedule the estimate was friendly and professional, the appointment was cancelled and rescheduled. I understand things come up; that’s not my concern. My issue was the man who showed up at my home was not wearing a mask, nor did he have one in his vehicle and seemed put out that I would not let him in my home without one. I can not understand how a business would operate like this during COVID.

It went very well. The electricians were knowledgeable and efficient. The office personell were very helpful, especially when dealing with the city.

Excellent work. The guys were great on a professional and personal level. I really enjoyed talking with them. I will continue to use this company for all my services. Great company.

Excellent work by Anthony and Reid on Jan 24, 2020. Problem with circuit breaker was quickly and honestly diagnosed and resolved. Fixture and switch installed cleanly and quickly. All work was completed in less than 30 minutes. Cost was very reasonable.

I cannot have been happier with the great professional service we had from everyone at Westborn Electric! They were wonderful to work with. They did extensive work of the house we sold last summer and on the new home we bought as well. Some of the best contractors I ever hired. Would hire them again, for sure.

The job went very well. I was called when the fellows were on their way to my home and they arrived at the estimated time I had arranged in my phone call to make the appointment. The fellows went right to work and completed the job in a short time. They were friendly, yet professional, and wanted to make sure that the light worked and I was satisfied before they left. A few days later I received a Thank You card in the mail, along with a card for 10% off labor on the next job I call for.

Horrific interaction. Weatborn referred to Osburn Services and refused to return a call despite multiple phone calls where I was promised a return call. Osburn did not complete installation as was verbally described and cut multiple corners to complete job quickly but poorly. Gas leak was reported but they did not resolve for 3 days, an obvious safety issue. Strongly recommend to avoid both companies as they are clearly after quick revenue with no regard to customer satisfaction. Will never do business with either company again.

They fit me right in since our panel could of started a fire. Both guys that came out was very polite, clean up area and did a great job!

Cody from Westborn did an outstanding job upgrading our panel. The job included all wiring from the connection at the house through to the basement and into the panel. The quality was very high and we are very satisfied with the end result.

Westborn was very responsive and professional throughout my job! Was a bit on the pricier end of the spectrum for what was done (rewire a 30-amp EV circuit to 50-amps and replace the existing car charger with one I supplied) but no complaints about the end result! Works great, looks good.

I booked an estimate visit for a Friday afternoon, left work early for the appointment, and the estimator never showed up and I never heard from them again.

Westborn came and check on the line that was cut by a tree that got struck by a lightning and fell down on the electrical lines. Westborn was able to identify the problem and recommend to contact DTE for the repairs since it was the mainline that was cut and DTE will fix the line for free.

Westborn Electric did a fantastic job getting our family room ready for remodeling. They added four can lights, recommending LED, which I prefer anyway. They added two outlets and changed out all the old outlets which were the wrong color and getting very old. They also ran our cable and ethernet line to an outlet. There was a bit of a mixup in that we thought they would terminate the cable and ethernet line in an outlet, but a check of the work order showed that was not ordered. The lesson I learned was to always check the details of the work order. I would not mark them down for that. My wife and I were able to install the cable and ethernet outlet ourselves after the job was finished. Overall, we are very pleased and would recommend them.

I contacted Westborn and they responded within 30 minutes to an hour. They were at my house less than an hour after that so responsiveness was AMAZING! The two lighting professionals worked efficiency and were very nice. The lights look beautiful!

Absolutely horroible experience. They electricians they sent to our office harrassed our staff and used profane, racist language that deeply offended everyone. When asked to stop they continued and at an even louder volume. We are filing a complaint with the better business bureau in an attempt to get this on record, hopefully with action, to prevent anyone else from having to be subject to such abuse.
