The whole process went wonderfully. Rachel fielded all the set up questions and and logistics wonderfully. We had Joel come to the house and draw us up a plan for our deck which is a raised deck (2nd story on the back of the home). The drawing was simple and plain just like we requested and yet very detailed. Once the install started, everything went really quick. The holes went in well, a very good and quiet crew got that all situated quickly which was not easy given the huge bolder they ran into and the solid clay that is my back yard. The framing crew came in and got the framing done in a day and a half or so. The final crew installed everything else in about 2 and a half days or so. There are no breaks in the surface boards, making for a completely clean and elegant surface. Everything is flush and straight. The stairway is well lit and solid. The framing is solid, we had 8 people up there and it doesn't shake even the slightest bit. The final touches are routed, smooth and pieced together perfectly. All the miter joints are perfect as well. The individual crews did all of this in about a week with a rain delay one day and me asking questions the ENTIRE time. Every crew kindly answered all my questions and Joel our sales rep did the same ensuring everything went well throughout the process and passed inspection. Joel even fixed the smallest detail when a cord for the lights wasn't quite covered perfectly. The deck is perfect, its added value and functionality to my home, never mind that it looks fabulous. Best of all, I will never need to take care of the deck given its care free materials. Perfect purchase and a perfect install. Thank you Lars David

I liked the material and the timing. Interactions were great. The finished product is great.

The entire project went smoothly and finished in a reasonable time frame. Workmen were professional and cleaned up any mess. The quality of materials and workmanship was excellent and far surpassed other recently constructed decks (by other companies) in our neighborhood. We have already received many compliments on our deck.

Joel from Lars David was easy to work with and typically responded int e reasonable time frame. The only real delay was trying to nail down an installation date (all the deck builders are really busy thus time of year). As it was new construction I told them I wanted to get them in before the sprinklers and sod went in to avoid them trampling the new sod but could not hold off getting the sprinklers and sod any longer. Once I gave them dates for the sprinkler and sod installation the hustled to get the deck installed before ahead of the sod. Their initial crew arrived on a Wednesday to dig the post holes and lay down the plastic and rock that would be under the deck. Thursday was the post hole inspection. They started the installation on Friday and finished up on Saturday. There was only one small issue I had where there was a downspout where the deck was going. When I asked their plan for that downspout the installers indicated they planned on cutting a hole in the deck to run it through. As the downspout was next to a corner of the house I told them to simply remove the bottom portion and I would re-route it off the side of the house so they would not need to cut a hole in my brand new deck. I simply wish they would have asked what I wanted to do about the downspout, but I also was not home, except for 30 minutes, during any of the installation so they would have needed to call me about it. I was home when the inspector came by after the installation. The city inspector said they were the best builder he deals with and that I chose well when selecting the deck contractor. Overall I'm very pleased with the work they performed. The price was slightly less than what I was quoted form a few other contractors for trex composite decking yet I got fully synthetic decking instead (less potential issues with full synthetic vs composite).

Lars David is the business. My builder was Allen Horn. He did excellent work. We were delayed by weather and my inability to make up my mind and Allen still delivered my deck by my deadline (and this was not small deck ..).

They were cheaper by $1000 than anyone else. They came and did it all in one day. They also cleaned up well. The job was fantastic.

I would include the materials there because the materials are expensive. It is a recyclable plastic. So far, my experience with them has been good. I have not yet decided if I am going to use them or not. I am still getting estimates. He showed up when he said he was going to, and he gave me the written estimate within forty-eight hours. He was courteous. He was not overly creative with alternative solutions to my situation where somebody else that came was, but they have a really nice casts that I like, and I had met them at a home improvement show. He also knew what he was talking about.
