Customer, I’m sorry you feel you have to give a bad review on a situation we had no control over. First off, you didn't know what the issue was with your computer, we obviously couldn’t tell you over the phone what the issue was with certainty, so when we did find out that you had malware and viruses, we can’t sit in your living room for hours while your system is scanning. The store manager told you that we can’t do that in your home because of the amount of time it takes, yet you still asked for us to come out. On the job, the tech gave you all your options after diagnosing your system. We suggested it be brought back to the shop and you refused. The work we did offer, uninstall your anti-virus program and re-install it – which normally don’t do because it usually doesn’t fix anything, you also refused. You called us at 4:35pm (2/25/2013 – we close at 6:00pm) and you live roughly 20 miles away. There was no way we could have done the work so late in the day so far away and with the type of problems you told us you were experiencing. The following day was completely open for appointments and we did no outside jobs that day, which tells me that you couldn’t or didn't want us to do it the follow day. We did your job on the 27th and set it for 9:30am after opening at 9:00am. In my opinion, we gave you first rate service at the fastest possible time, but you give us a rating of a C for punctuality, that doesn’t make sense. You would have had an appointment the next day after you called if had you wanted it. The job of “getting rid of viruses” entails various scanning, repairs, removals, etc...; we can’t possibly sit in your living room while all this is going on, it takes hours and hours, we don’t do much on the system while it scans, not much to do except let it run. So it would be pretty pointless to sit with nothing else to do in your home while you were paying by the hour. The job isn’t hard; but it is time consuming, lots of time. This is why we can’t do virus removal in the home. The rating on price was also baffling. I have to pay the tech regardless of any work done, you were advised of the cost and still wanted us there; what baffles me is that we cut the price in half for you and you rated us poorly on the price also! You “couldn’t live without your system” because of your wife being out of town and that is how you kept in touch with each other. I completely understand, but you do not understand how this industry does this type of work. On situations like this, your computer would have been given priority in the shop and it would have been finished in about one day. But you couldn’t live with that and therefore gave us a bad review. I honestly think that is unfair. Your issue with us it seems is that we couldn’t do a virus removal in the one hour service call timeframe. It’s one thing to run a scanner yourself, but we have to stand behind our work and if the work is incomplete, our reputation suffers. Your review is bad because we wanted to make sure the job was done right and you wanted a miracle.
