APRIL RAIN IRRIGATION

Set up an appointment for them to give me a quote on installing a sprinkler system. They said someone will be out some time in the morning.. No specific time just sometime in the morning… Wasted my whole morning waiting for them. No one ended up showing. Called and left a voicemail and have not received a call back.

Owner was terrible. He apologized for initial poor behavior, and against my better judgement I allowed them to do the job, as they were working on neighbors yard at the same time. They did not return for more than a month to complete the work, even though they indicated it they 'might' get to on the initial day. Quality of work was ok, although I've had to have another company come to repair two separate issues with the installation. Overall, I would never deal with this company again, nor recommend them... to much drama for the average quality of work.

As mentioned, I have been a customer of April Rain for many years. I rarely have need to call them, they usually call me each fall to confirm an appointment for winterization. But it never fails, each and every time I need to call them, whatever the reason, I have to leave a voicemail, and if I get a return call, it can sometimes be as much as three to four days later. In this particular case (the driving force behind this review), I needed Derek to come out and replace my sprinkler system control unit. It failed late last year, and we had discussed it last fall during my annual winterization. We agreed on Derek giving me a call in the spring. I didn't get a call by mid-April, so on April 17th I decided to call them. This, in itself, was no big deal. But as it happens every time I call them, I had to leave a voicemail, this time requesting a call back for an appointment to have the control unit replaced. I got a call back three days later, on April 20th. I was in a work meeting and could not answer the phone, so a voicemail was left by Melody saying Derek would be here Tuesday April 26th, no specific timeframe given. I called back to acknowledge that that date was fine, and could I get a rough estimate of how much this would cost (again, had to leave a voicemail)? It is now April 26th. I never received a call back from my voicemail of April 20th. Because I never received a call back, I called at 9:15 this morning and (again) left a voicemail asking for confirmation that Derek would be out at my house today (since I had to take the day off of work for this). It is now 1:45 PM. Derek has not shown up, and still no return calls. If Derek does not show up today at all, this will be the last time I deal with this company. Even if Derek eventually does show up today and completes the work requested, I will update this review, but I still may discontinue service. It's a shame, because while he has always performed quality work for me in the past, I simply cannot deal with this level of customer service any longer. It simply remains that I'm not getting timely responses to my inquiries, and I need that because of my schedule. This is why I can only offer April Rain an overall grade of C. If quality work, without timely return calls and appointment confirmations, is agreeable with you, give April Rain a call. If you require that your phone calls be returned and inquiries acknowledged in a timely manner, I recommend looking elsewhere.

THESE ARE EXCELLENT PEOPLE TO TRUST WITH YOUR LAWN CARE. THEY ARE ALWAYS HERE WHEN I NEED THEM. THEY JUST DO SUCH A GOOD JOB. I LOVE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO A GREAT JOB.
