Horrible. Had to withhold insurance money because work not done or done incorrectly. Required help from a lawyer who had previously sued them.
Description of Work: House rebuild after fire.

The flat roof over two small rooms upstairs blew off this spring during a storm. There was no interior damage. Insurance Services Construction (ISC) decided to remove half of the roof section in one piece, apparently lost control of the material and got black tar streaks on our white siding. We have pictures. They tarped the roof. The next day when it rained we had water running inside our house. They came out to fix it. The next day it rained and we had water gushing in. They refused to come out again as they had learned we had not signed for the roof replacement with them. The gushing water caused thousands of dollars of interior damage. The insurance company had to pay another company to correctly retarp the roof. The insurance company is paying for thousands of dollars of repairs that were unnecessary if the tarp job had been done right the first time. The people were unprofessional, both during and after the attempted job, and rude after they found out we were not going to let them complete the roofing job. They have yet to send an itemized bill but call regularly to demand money. They refuse to even attempt to clean the siding. The insurance company is paying another company to clean the siding and make the interior repairs.

Description of Work: As you know, the Metro Detroit area suffered a sewer back-up f epic proportions this summer. Boy, did the clean up services rake it in. Most companies would not give a quote; they wanted to show up, do the work and then hand you the bill. This company at least gave me a quote. It seemed high, but then someone else told me they were charged several thousand for a slightly more complicated job. |My basement is unfinished. We got about 4-6 inches of water. We had storage down there, and not a lot. Most of what I knew had to be tossed we tossed on our own. I just didn't want to do the disinfecting job alone. I have about a dozen totes that needed to be washed down, a fridge, stove and freezer. There are wooden wall studs, but no dry wall dividing the whole area. So they needed to be assessed and possibly removed. And the floor needed to be cleaned. |They basically washed the floor. And that's it. They moved all the totes and whatever boxes were still down there on the floor to one corner of the basement. They washed NOTHING down. One of my totes, I found months later, was full of water - I don't know how that managed to escape their knowledge. My home smelled for weeks of whatever they used to clean. The basement still doesn't smell like it used to. They never returned my calls to come and finish the job not to discuss ripping out the studs and whatever else they suggested needs to done. They never sent me the report or pictures, nor did they itemize the items that they disposed. |I sent them part of the money they billed me for and wrote them a note saying that if they accept this check as payment in full, good. If not, they should call to discuss completing the work I requested. They cashed that check and didn't call back for several weeks. They want the balance. And they think that 250 is unreasonable "just for a few unwashed totes." Do you think that 750 for washing a basement floor is a reasonable amount?

The last 8 months been a nightmare. They didn't follow insurance recommendations. The quality of work is atrocious. They've substituted sub-standard materials from premium materials, and they (at this point) have gone three months over the expected job completion date. They also returned some of the contents of the home without cleaning them, and covered in mold. Some of the items that WERE cleaned were damaged during cleaning. That's only a portion of headache and trouble caused by this company. This is not the company you want to use.
Description of Work: They were hired to rebuild our house after a fire. They were also supposed to remove the contents of the house, clean them, and return them to the home.
