Davis Inspection provided a remarkable experience. Rick was thorough and knowledgeable. He went through the property pointing out areas of concern, educating me on items to look for and answering all of my questions. Rick told me that he would look out for me as though I was his daughter, and he did. Although he knew I wanted to purchase this home, he made it a point for me to be educated about what was wrong with the home and he provided his professional opinion in a caring manner. It went well. Very thorough and in depth. He had no problem with my father and father in law tagging along. This is my first house and wasn't sure what to expect but he took his time and really looked into everything. He also helped me in evaluating a problem a few weeks later that i discovered after purchase of the home while renovating.

I have owned several homes and had them all inspected but I have never had anyone be as thorough as Davis inspection was...they were on site before me and went back threw and showed me what they had already looked at...showed me stuff that I didn't even notice when we did our initial walk through...did I mention very thorough....Ric treated the inspection as if I were his son looking to buy the house and was very personable...I will never use another company if I have to buy a home again and I would hands down recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home and have it inspected!!!

Such a great experience. My boyfriend and I needed a home inspection done over the weekend (short notice...called on Friday and scheduled for Saturday). Doug came to do the inspection on an older home in Berkley, Michigan. We are first time buyers and this was the first time we went through a home inspection. It was a great experience!! Doug was extremely thorough and pointed out all the "bad" and "good" things to do with the house. He gave suggestions as we went along and helped to prioritize the things he uncovered. Since this was our first time, we were nervous and unsure of how things were going to go. Admittedly, I am very emotional and get stressed easily, especially with such a big investment. Doug was very compassionate and stopped multiple times to make sure we were comfortable continuing the inspection based on what was uncovered. He made sure all of questions, both big and small were answered as they came up. He gave us very sound advice that we were able to trust. It is obvious that he is very knowledgeable, takes his job seriously and cares about providing the best service to his clients. We will be using him in the future and recommending him to our friends and family.

Luckily we had Rick because it didn't go well. That is, the house didn't perform well. It had so many problems, it wasn't worth buying. He was so professional and knowledgable. He treated us like his own kids!

Rick came out right away. He looked everything over, He is so kind. I have alot of allergies so I was asking him alot of questions.Do not hesitate to call him, Rick will help you. Rick went through the house and told me what to get fixed.

This home will be my third home purchase and Mr. Davis was the most professional inspector with whom I've worked. He was very thorough, and very patiently and thoughtfully answered all of my questions. As a firefighter as well, Mr. Davis also advises of potential fire hazards and prevention. I felt that he was absolutely on the side of the potential homeowner and wanted to ensure that the customers has all information at his/her disposal to make a good decision. As he left, I told him that if I ever need inspection services again, he will be the person I call. I would not hesitate to recommend him or hire him again.

Ric Davis was very thorough in identifying structural issues in the house and has outstanding knowledge and expertise of current and prior building codes and construction methods. The Inspection Report was completed very quickly and we will be using Davis Inspection Services again. Highly recommended!

I hired Rick Davis to conduct a home inspection on a property in Rochester Hills that me and my wife were interested in buying. Rick was timely, he was thorough, and he pointed out in detail the things that would need to be done to the home in both the short and long term. I had hired him previously for a home in West Bloomfield that we ended up walking away from after Rick came out to inspect. We could not be more pleased that we took his advice. He urged us to not get so caught up in the cosmetic details and take notice of things like windows, furnace, roof, siding, and slope of yard - things that could really cost us if they were not in-shape. We purchased the home in Rochester Hills, and just recently moved in. Very pleased with the job that Rick did, and the suggestions and advice that he gave us.

Ric arrived right on time and worked efficiently, but effectively. Ric has a great amount of experience in home inspection and it shows as he walks through the home, picking out any possible areas of concern with ease. His expertise allows him to work quickly, but extremely effectively as he is focused on detail. Ric took the time after the inspection was complete to walk around the entire house with us to go over the highlights of the report, but also explaining what the report would look like as well as the color coding of the report and what it means. He pointed out some of the good parts of the home as well as the concerns. After a detailed walk through and answering all of our questions, Ric sent a detailed 30 page inspection report and a separate file with approximately 150 pictures the next morning before 10 AM for us to review. We would definitely recommend Ric to anyone, especially family or friends, that are looking for a home inspector!

We had an inspection on a fixer upper and boy were we glad to have this father-son team on our side. They were meticulous without being overly worried about minor issues. He told me from the start, he would find issues and would let me know if he would tell his own daughter to walk away. Unfortunately the house has a lot of covered-up issues. Fortunately I had my guys there looking out for me. I'm very grateful for their help and professionalism. Will use again!

I wish I had met Ric Davis before I bought my house 15 years ago! He is incredibly knowledgeable and patient about explaining everything that he's doing and answering every question (and I had many!) I had Ric come out to address a suspected mold issue that arose after my basement flooded. He not only tested the air quality, but also took the time to walk me through several non-mold related issues in my basement (eg, dangerous dryer vent, asbestos tiling, etc.) He promised me he'd be there every step of the way during remediation, AND HE FOLLOWED THROUGH 100 percent! He also gave me the names of several companies he respected to do the basement tear-down (nothing in it for Ric), and guided me through that decision process. He is responsive, professional, caring, and made me feel like my Dad was walking me through the process. I will definitely have Ric back out when I need to prioritize and tackle jobs to get my house ready for sale. Don't hesitate - HIRE RIC DAVIS! He'll do right by you. (I rated his price a C because he is more expensive than others - but he also delivers on quality of service, and doesn't treat clients like a "one and done." I know I can call on him for advice on other upcoming repairs and he'll not only pick up the phone, but give me expert guidance.)
