Mainly because of your ratings and also I had gotten a list of good contractors from the past, so I took that list and compared it to Angie's List ratings. They seemed knowledgeable and professional.

The owner came to measure and discuss the. Project with me. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to work with me and around my schedule. He ordered the tile I selected and gave it to me at his discounted price. He came with the tiler on the day of installation and discussed what neede to be done with me and the installer. The job was completed in a timely fashion, I.e. In one day with a return the following day to put in the grout. The installer was very neat and the job looks beautiful. Although he is more expensive, the owner pays his men a decent wage so he can attract very skilled tillers.

If you need tile work done, this is the contractor to do it! Tandem arrived on schedule as promised and performed the shower and bathroom floor tile work in the time frame promised. The quality of the work was the best I've ever seen. Every step was performed with great care and attention to detail. Tandem was very careful to protect my home from damage and they were very careful to clean up daily. Both the Owner and his workman were extremely cooperative and easy to get along with. Tandem Tile made it a pleasure to have the work done and every day I use the shower, it brings a BIG smile to my face. If you need tile work done in the Ann Arbor area, this is the only contractor to use. I highly recommend him.

I am extremely happy with the job that Tandem Tile and Stone did. Steve and his people were very professional and conscientious. They took the time to make sure to get the best appearance from the tile layout. Everything that they did looks wonderful. The transitions to my existing floors were done beautifully and everything was cleaned up. Installation of the floors was done while my wife and I were out of town and our home was treated with respect while we were gone. This was a good experience and I highly recommend their work.

I have 4 contractors come to do the estimation. Two of them are the Angies list toprated contractors (one received the top annual award for several years). Unfortunately, their price are way too high-- they are 50% to 100% higher than other bids. I selected Tandem Tile, which is not the lowest bid, but the owner Steve seems a decent contractor. He had his two crews immediately worked on the project for 3 days and then another couple of hours to restore the toe kick and transition area. Basically, he is able to deliver what he promised during the estimation. They removed the old vinyls, repaired the subfloor, and install the new ceramic tiles (provided by me). It's all done professionally. The project went smoothly, and I'm glad I choose Tandem Tile.

Excellent. From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with this company. The quote was the most reasonable of the two that we received and the quality of the work was outstanding. Both the owner of the company and the tile person were professional, courteous, and excellent at what they do. We could not be happier.
