The Randy Marquis Well and Pump worker was the easiest to communicate with about the different options for solving our water problems. He was absolutely relentless following up. He made it clear that he would be completely available to us if anything didn't go the way he was expecting to go but everything has just been great.

[member name removed] had a couple little things to correct with her water, I gave a two options and they had the choice. Every system has there own benifits and issues. I like to give the customer the options that WILL work and advise them of the up sides and downsides. [member name removed] looked over the systems and made the call on what would work best for them. We showed up removed the old (non-functional) system and installed the new. Everything went great! Thank You [member name removed] for the call and the work.

[member name removed] Tank was busted and needed replacement, we looked at it on our way back from other jobs that day and found it was back in operation. Sometimes what happens is the pressure switch will fail (sometimes intermently) from the heat of the contacts opening and closing rapidly. This is a bad thing, I have seen the switch , wires, and plastic covers melt and even catch fire. I warned [member name removed]to shut off the power to the system when not in use. We were there the next morning to replace the tank and components before something really bad would happen. Thanks [member name removed] for the call and work.

I was hired to test the water for a softener. The home owner decided to test for everything that requires to to go to the local lab. When the results returned the water was found to be within the limits on everything and the water hardness was low. I explained that it was close to installing a softener but really was not required. I always give the honest truth, there is no other way to do business. Thank you for choosing me to do your water testing.

Our well ran dry mid-summer. It was always a low-producer and we had cisterns in the basement to store water when the well went low. This time, it was dead. We called several local well companies, but Randy was out to the property promptly to survey the situation. We first discussed fracting the well, but that had been done a few years back. Considering this, Randy concluded that a new well was needed. Although Randy sub-contracted with another company to the actual well drilling, everything went very smoothly and we finally found a great water source after a couple days and over 700' feet of drilling. The new well was fracted and connected to the old lines quickly and we now have over 3 gpm. We decided to keep the cistern storage tanks for now to keep an eye on the water level, but even with heavy water usage, we have not had any water shortages since the new well went into production. We couldn't be happier. The price for all of this was steep at $13,000 but given the extent of work performed, it was worth it. If you've ever run out of water, you understand. Connecting to the town water lines would have cost about $100,000 so this was definitely the best option for us.
Description of Work: Old well was capped, new well drilled, lines reconnected from new well to existing pipes to house.

The customer had a existing well and tank system that was calculated to be producing 5 gallons per hour. The existing well was 550 feet deep. We went over and found a location to drill a well and was asked if we do water dousing. We got the drillers father to come and douse the well. He could tell it would be deep. We drilled the well and found little water. So we went back and hydo-fraced the well and found it was producing 3 gallons per minute. We dug to connect the water lines and transfered the pumping system to the new well. I was paid promptly and felt that the customer was very satified with the results. I had not heard from him since but seeing a great review shows that they were pleased with the results. I feel fortunate to work for such great customers. Thank you Steve for hiring us.

We bought a lake house in Maine and noticed the well pump made loud noises throughout the day. I called Randy, explained the situation and he came out prepared to replace the jet pump. The cost was $1400 but I asked about any Angie's List coupons and he gave a discount of $100, total cost $1300. I'm not sure if this is a comparable price as I hadn't researched that yet, that's why I have a B on price. Will update after I research that. We were surprised but happy he came prepared to replace the jet pump, we thought it would just be a service call or consult. Randy was very personable, seemed to know his work well and cleaned up any mess he made. He did strongly suggest we add a filter system for $1200 as our water would eat through any copper pipes if we didn't regulate the levels right. Just buying a house I didn't have the $ and my husband wants to research that further before we do anything on that end.
Description of Work: Replaced jet pump. Includes 2 yr warranty on pump and 1 year warranty on tank.

I went to Member's place to look if the pump needed replacement. Once onsite the evaluation of the well pump (just starting to fail) and the tank (busted and failing) needed replacement. The well pump & tank were from Lowes which is poor quality and only last about 2 years. This was installed by the previous owner. Just for a little info, Jet Pumps have a 3 year Parts & Labor warranty, Submersible Pumps & Tanks have a 5 year Parts & Labor warranty. While I was there I performed a onsite water sample. I explained that the water was highly corrosive (low PH) & gave an estimate for a filter. Member was great to work for! Thank you for being such a great customer!!!

I went to this member's house to do a water test for a filtrations system and found that the pressure tank was busted and needed to be replaced. When I removed the tank I noticed the check valve was not working properly on the pump in the well. I installed a check valve in the well and replaced the pressure tank, so the pumping system would be working properly. The next day I installed the new aeration system to remove the iron. These are great people to work for and thank you for the business.

For the past 6 months or so, we started having water issues. It started with the washing machine stopping with an error message indicating it wasn't getting enough water. We thought something was either wrong with the machine or something was in the water line but it didn't happen all the time. About a month ago, the water would just stop for a few seconds in the sinks, shower, etc. It got really bad late last week and we were afraid we'd loose water altogether right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Our original well guys were not responding so I logged onto Angie's and found Randy. I sent a quick email and within 15min I had a response telling me he could help and to give him a call. I called and we chatted for a bit about the nature of the issue, how severe and when he had time to come out. He said he could be at the house on Monday and take a look and do any repairs if needed so we wouldn't have to worry about having no water with house guests and the holiday! True to his word, he showed up at 9am Monday morning and walked around with my husband looking at the system and adjusting the pressure in the system. He was at the house about 40min and when my husband asked how much we owed him, Randy refused payment saying he was already in the area for another job and that he didn't really do anything but adjust the system. If we ever have another issue, we will be calling Randy! He has honestly and integrity - thank you Randy! the water pressure in the whole house is better and I did laundry all day Wednesday with no issues!
Description of Work: Randy came to check on our well and see what might be causing water pressure issues inside the house. After looking at the well and inside the house he found the pressure gauges weren't set correctly and so he showed my husband how to change them according to our needs and how they should be set going forward.

I got an email pertaining to pressure issues. After an investigation of their water system I found that the constant pressure pump system was set very low. The reason for this was to lower the power consumption of the pump when operating for the geothermal pumping system. I checked the air in the bladder tank and it was fine. So in 5 min I had raised the pressure from 30psi to a respectable 55ish psi. The pumping system will use more electricity when running but the benefit is the higher pressure. When I turned on the cold water at the kitchen faucet the property owner was amazed at the difference. I was there less than 15 min and really did nothing , I couldn’t charge them for doing nothing.

Finishing up laundry Sunday night when I found we had no water at all. Checked circuit breakers and still nothing. Went online to look for someone and found this company. Sent a frantic message and left my contact number. Randy called first thing in am and came out as soon as he got done with a couple other jobs. When he got there he assessed the situation and showed us both pumps were bad and needed to be replaced. Originally told my husband it would be 2000 and then said he had miscalculated and said it was 1600. We didn't have enough money to pay ANYTHING up front at all so he was willing to break it up in 3 payments over the course of 3 months. We are thankful for his fast response and willingness to work with us financially. Looked around after the fact and found I could have gotten work done for roughly 1100 dollars through a couple other places BUT I don't think they would have worked with us financially the way he has. I would use him again because of his openness and realization that these are hard economic times and his willingness to trust us to pay him. He is a very pleasant young man and told us the money he earns he is putting away for his daughter's college education.
Description of Work: He told us the well pump was gone along with the pump thing in cellar too. Pulled pump out of 70 ft well, replaced pump and wire. Also replaced the pump thing in basement. Chlorinated water a bit to kill any germs, then ran system till water clear then reconnected it to our mitigation system.

Overall, the experience went well. They did a good job, their price was competitive, and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. The price includes the excavation, drilling, and hook-up. I find them to be honest and hardworking people. I’m happy with their services and I would recommend them.
