Description of Work: I had the pool liner replaced in my above-ground-pool & supporting equipment/motor. This was no small feat as I had not used the above-ground-pool for 5+ years!!! Instead of a pool, I had a beautiful swamp full of mud, decay, frogs, and plants. Pine trees crashed into it during two past winters. The filter/motor had sunk into the ground as all the hoses were dry-rotted. It was a mess & I had no idea as who could come in to fix it. I consulted Angie's list to find this company right around the corner from my house!!!!! I passed by it for YEARS & never saw it! The team helped me to replace parts and arrange additional services (over the phone - saving me a ton of time). On my first call, I reserved a time for the company to come out for an inspection later that week. Instead, they stopped by my house that very evening & left an estimate! Later I made an appointment for them to do the work on the pool. It went extremely well. The company even called me to make recommendations & suggest a few appropriate substitutions. It was AMAZING that they cleared out my pool of all the water, trash, mud, tree parts, plant life, and critters; re-installed the liner; replaced/tested all broken equipment; and filled the pool in less than a day. After they finished, they cleaned EVERYTHING & took out the trash too. Before leaving, we shared important issues for pool maintenance. I cannot be happier with Marlboro Pool Service! I am so blessed to have discovered them (smile). Again, Thank-you so much.

They provided an itemized estimate and were honest with us about what to expect/look for in other estimates so could make an informed decision. They were very responsive throughout the process answering all of our questions timely. They were on time the day of the install and as always very friendly and communicative as they were working.

+ -1 moreWe've had a great experience with Marlboro Pools. When we bought our house, we had no experience with a seasonal pool, and the previous owners only had a large tarp as a pool cover. When spring came and it was time to open the pool for the first time, it was a mess. We contacted Marlboro to come out and open it, and they opened it (without judgement of the pool's condition), gave us tips and pointers about the condition of the pump, liner, etc. Each year since, we've had a fantastic experience with them. The only issue I would note is that you have to call very far in advance to schedule the pool opening or closing (which is because of demand) and you don't get a set time for the day you're scheduled, which makes planning for that day hard. They will do the work on your pool without you there, though. I would highly suggest them to anyone with a pool in the area.
Description of Work: They have opened and closed our inground pool for us for the past 3 seasons. When opening, they remove and store the cover (in our shed), they start the pump, they put the rails back on and check and pool to see if there are any issues (lining, pump issues, etc.) When closing, they re-cover the pool, remove the pump parts that need to be stored and remove the railing. During opening, they provide the initial pool chemicals (which is part of the charge.)

+ -1 moreThe guys who came out did a good job. They did surprise me the first time they came out. It was the first time I had ever called someone for the job. They didn’t let me know ahead of time that I had to take all the leaves; I had to do a fair amount of work on my own before they would take care of it. I don’t know if that is standard. I had to reschedule and that put me late into the pool season. If they had told me ahead of time then I would have cleaned all that up. I have also taken water sample then. I spent a lot of money on chemicals and we never could get it right. Their price was comparable to everybody else. The people who came out were fine, but the people in the office were the ones that should have told me what I needed to do to get ready. They were here when they said they would be here. The people who came out to work did a fine job. I might be using them in the future because of the lack of people who would do above ground pools.
Description of Work: Marlboro Swimming Pool Supply opened and closed the pool about two or three years ago.
