 + -1 moreThe first time I had the dryer vent cleaned, the service brought a giant vacumn cleaner and cleaning rods to loosen the lint. So I was surprised when RC Duct Cleaning only brought the drill and some rods. The cleaning was fast and efficient. It turns out the vent cleaning system he used can be purchased from a home improvement store for one half of the $ 89.00 price they are charging so I will do the cleaning myself from now on since it was so easy.
Description of Work: The gentleman arrived on time with a drill and what looked like several sticks. It turned out to be a Linteater vent cleaning apparatus. He quickly and efficiently used it to "rooter" out my vent which is approximately 20 feet long. He vacumned up the lint and dust when he was finished and left. The process took 15 minutes.

 + -1 moreThis company was excellent. I called them and they scheduled me immediately. The arrived when they said they would, discussed my dryer situation and I purchased an additional cover to keep birds our of the vent. As it happens, the makeshift cover that my husband installed in 2004 created a fire hazard and I was lucky that I got this service. The technician was professional, answered my questions and responded to my request for a solution. I would recommend them highly. I will use them again and have my vents cleaned at least every 2 or 3 years.t
Description of Work: Not sure about price. I had my dryer vent cleaned - which means they inserted a blower mechanism through my dryer vent lines and pushed the fluzz out the exterior opening on the side of the house. At my request and for an additional amount, I had a cover installed over the outside vent to keep birds from building nests in and blocking the vent lines.

 + -1 moreCompany had to reschedule due to extreme weather. Office was very responsive and offered alternatives. Technician was on time, pleasant and professional. He answered all my questions and had to use vacuum along with brushes due to amount of lint in vent. He cleaned up the area before he left. The dryer is more efficient now.

 + -1 moreIt went well. It was easy to schedule. The technician showed up on time and was friendly and efficient. I haven't had the dryer vents cleaned in years, so I assume they needed them. I haven't noticed much of a difference, but I'm less worried about safety.

 + -1 moreThe serviceman called me on the phone prior to arrival. He used an electric drill with a cleaning brush and extension attachments to thoroughly clean the driver vent. I was surprised at the quantity of material removed, since I had thought my vents were reasonably clean. He thoroughly cleans up the outside area where the lint had dropped during the cleaning process. I was very pleased by the job he did.

 + -1 moreCame in with equipment and hopefully did his job. It didn't take long. There was hardly anything in the trap after at least 8 years?I have 5 cats.
Description of Work: All the ducts where cleaned as far as I know. When I asked about the dryer I remember an outrageous amount being asked for cleaning a single tube.The man was very nice.

 + -1 moreGot a promotional thing in an Angie email, decided to test the process, and called and got the discount, paid up front, they could not come for a while, but we had waited a while to even consider doing it, so we did not mind. I thought about how we had paid already and whether that was going to be a problem. They called a couple of days before the scheduled appointment to confirm, they came as scheduled, and did the job. No problems, no additional charges.
Description of Work: Never had ducts done before, and we have alot of pets. It seems to really help which surprised me. They got alot of stuff out, came and did there job and were out. No complaints at all.

 + -1 moreI needed this Big Deal in a specific time frame but they were busy and couldn't get out in the timeframe because they didn't have any openings. They were very pleasant on the phone. I would have used them but I needed the service done sooner. I did get this deal refunded by Angie's List.

Description of Work: I purchased a dryer vent cleaning for my condominium through one of Angie's List's special deals for $95 - regular price $175. The technician who came to my place did an excellent job as far as I can tell in getting my dryer vent cleared - this had not been done for 6 years and the dryer was taking a very long time to get loads, especially towels, etc., dry. He showed me how the dryer vent on the outside wall was barely venting. The work took about half an hour to complete. The technician came one hour or so outside the original time range for the appointment but that may have been due to prior appointments taking longer than expected. I also appreciated, prior to the appointment, how this company was responsive to my emails.

He did an excellent job of cleaning all the air ducts and duct outlets, cleaned the cold air return plenum and ducts, cleaned up after the service and was very professional. He was respectful of our home and furniture and did his utmost to protect it from dust and debris.

 + -1 moreOverall did a good job for a great price (was an Angies Big Deal). Nice to deal with, showed up an hour early, very nice tech. The only thing that I didn't like - and it's minor - is that there was a lot of lint from the dryer vent left on the floor of the laundry room which they didn't clean up. Otherwise nice job.

 + 0 moreThe technician arrived at the exact time scheduled. When he saw my light carpet, he slipped on protective shoe covers. He appeared efficient and cleaned up as he worked. He responded to my questions about HVAC systems. I encourage folks to ask questions and I have no don'ts.
Description of Work: The technician cleaned the air ducts in each room and added sanitizer which was included in the special deal. If you want your dryer vents cleaned, make certain you ask if this is included in any advertised special you respond to. I requested to add the dryer vent after I was informed that it was not included in the special. The technicial was very polite and friendly. So, I felt comfortable asking questions about H-VAC systems.

He advised that I should have the vent cleaned out more often since there was a lot of buildup in the vent. I haven't had this done since the house was built 8 years ago. I will definately get it done every year now!

The scheduler left a message stating that the technician could not come that day and would come the following day. I waited for the entire day and no one showed up to perform the work. When I called and left a message, I received an email stating that I was the one who rescheduled due to my huband's work schedule and was told to call again on Monday. I am a new widow, so I did not appreciate that message and then being told that I was to call on Monday! If RC Duct cleaning wanted my continued business they should have gone out of their way to call me!

 + -1 moreThis was an Angie's List special offer, so the earliest appointment available was some weeks after I called, but there was no rush on my end, so that was fine. The technician arrived promptly and took care to find the proper outlet because there was an older vent outside that was no longer functioning. The technician had to remove the dryer partially from the cabinet to access the vent, but that mostly went smoothly. He wasn't quite as careful as I would have liked, but not bad and there was no damage. I would like him to have cleaned the vent opening inside the dryer more thoroughly, but I don't think that was part of the deal.
Description of Work: Simple dryer vent cleaning for stackable unit on second floor of row house. Note I'm not sure of precise date because it was some months ago and I don't have a record of the exact date.
