First, the overall impression was hopeful since the owner made it seem like our work requirement was simple, small, shouldn't take more than a week to complete, and that he was going to have 2 workers under his management but only 1 came and did the entire job (reframe door, partial demo bath, and finished bull nosing half bath) but the result was below professional work. I only gave them 1star because the worker did his best with the timeframe that the owner gave him. First day, the owner showed up (pickup check/quick walkthrough/left). Second day same thing (pickup check/quick walkthrough/left), the worker seemed to know what to do but was slow (which I didn't mind if he did a good job). Last two days of the work (owner call worker out half day for "emergency") the next day same thing (worker showed up half day which was suppose to be last day of work). Everything was rushed so the quality of the work was trouble. My husband if he had time would have done a better job and he's NOT a handyman!!! The paint was everywhere, no prep work, no consideration of homeowners property, left supplies everywhere, and worst of all, never bother to clean up at the end of the day (dust everywhere still cleaning after their mess). We are still going back and redoing the 3 small jobs that we hired them to do!!! OH, not to mention the worker and the owner himself broke a few items that he wanted us to repurchase and had the nerve to say the materials were "cheap". Any professional worker/owner would take all materials and make it look good if they were good at what they do regardless of materials quality!!!! We will NEVER recommend nor hire them AGAIN!!!! We wasted nearly $3K for a 1 star quality. The owner was ONLY interested in taking our money. We later learned that the reason why the worker only showed up half days for the last two days of the project was because he had to start another project. So instead of completing our jobs the owner decided that the other project was more important! NEVER once did the owner showed that he cared about our thoughts/opinions or even bother to ask if anything was to our satisfactory , all he cared about was taking our money! The reviews on here I believe are scams because our "small projects" was not even close to a 2 stars not to mention this company is NOT listed in the BBB which is huge red flag (but deposit was made so couldn't cancel) and we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but boy were we WRONG! I still get annoyed at every little details of the work when I use our bathrooms. NOTHING was done to our standard from painting to caulking to the end product! I'm extremely embarrass to even mention that anything was done by hire help because the work was that poor!!! The owner will try to say that "this will never happen again just like the other poor reviews on here" or make up some other excuse but don't be fool by the higher ratings on here! It got me and it will never get me again!!! BE EXTR

Davis was hired to build a shed. We have no problems with the shed. The worker that built the shed did a good job. The project was suppose to take about a week or so to complete. It took over a month, with days and days where nothing was done. And there were no weather issues. We had to call several times half the time not receiving a call back. There was miscommunications with meeting to buy supplies. This project was paid for up front and there was just a great deal of disrespect going on. The project is finally completed and the unwanted trash, etc that should have been removed by Davis is still in the back yard. There have been promises to get it removed to no avail. Items were purchased by Davis and we had a hard time getting receipts for these things. I would never use Davis again and would never recommend this company. The worker was fine and I have nothing but high praise for him. I don't believe the owner is an honorable man.

Workmanship was ok. Didn't do exactly what I wanted. Was a little slow getting things done. Was thorough and followed through very well.

I was originally quoted a good price ($5900) for all the work and a timeline of about 2 weeks, 4 at the most. After a signed contract, being told that he was a really honest guy, and almost 8 weeks, I was then told he underbid the project and couldn't finish (he had received $5600 by this point). I guess that's being honest, but not honorable - Not a single room in the house was complete. New carpet color was changed without first consulting me; paint drops were left all over stairs, stone floors, siding, cabinets, windows, and window screens. After window sash cords were replaced, the trim was put back improperly and the windows wobbled excessively. New windows in the basement were simply "installed" - as in they don't fall out. Non-pressure treated wood was used, and there were large gaps to the exterior, allowing weather and insects in. The old windows were broken and left on the floor, with lots of broken glass both inside and outside. The surrounding concrete was damaged during window removal (not unexpected), but there was absolutely no attempt to repair it or install trim. New deck boards were left loose and warped; undersized blinds were installed, so screws were put into the underside of the blind frame to stop them from moving left and right in the supports; plumbing was not fixed; the list goes on and on... I was quoted almost $2000 just to fix the things that were damaged or done improperly, and almost another $1000 to finish what was originally agreed to. At least he returned my phone calls?

They did not finish the job I hired them to do. Mr. Davis refused to provide me with receipts for advances I gave him for materials or invoices for "contingencies" not in the first contract. Worst of all, I just spent $4,000 having plumbing repairs done to the bathroom they installed in December. Stay away from this crew.

We hired for tree cutting. Polite, efficient and kept us informed. Would recommend them to my friends

The concrete patio was laid expertly in my backyard. I contractor stayed to make sure the concrete set properly. The carpentry work was very well done. I now feel comfortable walking and sitting on my deck. I am having additional work done that is not yet complete.. .

Arrived on time, work was completed in a timely fashion, and Mr. Davis went the extra mile in ensuring that my needs were met. He even did a few extras that weren't included in the original contract. I would definitely consult him on any future projects.

Mr. Davis called back almost as soon as I had submitted my project on HomeAdvisor. He came out the same day I called him back and would have had the project completed the same day, except that one fixture I bought was defective, and the electrician had to come back the next day, after I got a replacement. Mr. Davis also did some minor gutter repairs. Even though the work turned out to be more complicated that anyone imaqined (mostly the electric work), Mr. Davis stood by his original quote. I was very pleased.

Highly recommend this company. Good job with the project. The only problem was lake of communication, they did not speak with the tenate about appt times and would just show up without the tenate knowing. other then that good company

At first when I hired Davis and Davis they did a great job for the roof and offered a 7 year warrenty- The roof continued to leak and they said they would come out to repair it before the Hurricane- they never came, no call no show. Very unprofessional. I would appreciate them to honor their contract and call consumer back- Terrible service- had to pay out of pocket another company although I had a contract with them.

He responded promptyl to my email request, and arrived as promised the next day. I thought his first estimate was a bit high; however we were able to negotiate a more acceptable price if he did the work the same day.

Arrived on time, very knowledgeable, very pleasant. Completed work quickly. Noticed another problem I already knew needed to be fixed. Quoted an super price and said it could be fixed later. I will have this company come back to fix the other problem.
