The service went well. They were on time and efficient. I was happy with their work.

Went well Only drawback was making an opening in ceiling to connect dimmer switch which now needs to be repaired.

While the outcome was good, overall, there were 3 issues less so: |[1] Mr. Bentz failed to show up twice, for the appointments as scheduled; as a result, while we bought the "Big Deal" in August, he did it only 4 months later; |[2] we bought the "Big Deal" for $1200 but Mr. Bentz was to visit the sight to show the choice of panel(s) and to close the final price; he did not, and when he did, it was to do the job right away, requesting an additional payment of $850, and upfront, for the number of switches exceeded those in the deal; it was day before Christmas - I agreed. | |The job was done by Joe, the technician who worked hard and did it well. However, the bid deal was no longer such a big deal. Still, the job was done well and I hope that at least the warranties, if ever needed, will hold. For this, I would like Angie's List to stay responsible, putting this evaluation on record and for future use, if need be. |

It was OK. I didn't think they were very interactive and I would have liked for him to explain how the product worked. It was a special type of ceiling fan. I found out later that it only uses remote control and there were some issues with the remote. The way he set it up, you couldn't use it right.

Fixed a problem with a four-way switch that was not working properly and installed a dimmer switch. Provided all labor and materials.

Got installation right except forgot to get the ceiling mount 'ball' properly aligned AND the ceiling fan wobbles at high speed (not supposed to do). So have to contact manufacturer and see if they have a solution. If there is one, Bentz is willing to come out to resolve this problem. I'd use them again (and probably will).

the other ceiling fan was installed by drilling a hole in the attic because there was no light fixture.

Service was very good, I was very happy with the whole procedure, and I have more work for them and will be more than glad to have them back.

I wanted to first start that John was very nice as a person, however, the service was below what I expected from Angie's list. First of all I expected not to have a mess all over my floors that had to be cleaned after the process was done. I also expected that the 4 ceiling lights would be cut out dimension ally correct. It was well understood before the work would be done that I would need to do the ceiling repair. However, it would be much more appropriate/considerate if the proper tools and hole dimensions were cut to make the finished ceiling repairs easier. I had also provided the extra payment in cash for additional items I ended up not doing. Even though I didn't end up doing that additional items due to HVAC duct being in the way, I was never reimbursed - it was a rather awkward situation and I also had to call John to come back to repair duct work I later found had a huge hole cut out of it and was never informed. This was the icing on the cake that if someone can't know whether they are cutting through a wall or METAL then I rather not have them back in my house destroying it again if they aren't experienced/detailed enough to care about other's homes. John did apologize and came back to repair the duct work but this resulted in a larger hole having to be made and I still feel that it was an awkward situation where I should have been refunded back the cash I had provided for extras that didn't get performed. It was understood that due to plaster ceilings it would be extra but I feel that I was up-charged due to the extra time taken that wouldn't have been taken if a quick inspection had been performed. I will likely not use their services again even though I do think they were nice/genuine people as I don't feel the clean up and performance was up to par as I expected more care/diligence on their part when cutting into someone's home.

John arrived on schedule with Joe, the work was performed in a timely, clean and professional manner. These guys were top notch and I would highly recommend them for your electrical projects. Thanks to John and Joe!

The lighting work was good he just left my plaster ceiling a but messy but other than that I was fine with the work.

This turned out fine. It worked out very well. The technician showed up on time and did what the deal covered. He installed the switch into the circuit breaker box. The switch works fine with the generator I have. He adapted the connecting cord so it would go in the socket. He had to go out and buy the socket for it to fit. He was able to get the job done day as well. Overall, it was a good deal.

Installed 4 ceuling lights. Cut a corner by not installing a new dimmer because an "old" one was already installed.

Mr. Bentz was able to come to my house within a day of my request. I was very thankful the problem was diagnosed in a short time, allowing me to fix the pump before potential damage to my home could occur. During the previous week, Mr. Bentz and his very skilled nephew were able to install some recessed lights in my kitchen. This was a modification of a special offer on Angie's list for installation for 4 recessed lights. My situation was a little more complicated because two standard lights within ceiling tiles tied to an existing fixture were accompanied by two smaller lights installed within part of the ceiling lined with wood. Routing wires and a switch were more complicated for this part of the job. The first two lights purchased locally were discovered to be defective, so more time was needed to get replacements. The work and appropriate clean-up were carefully done, I will definitely have them perform other electrical work when I need it.

When they came out to do the work they were wanting to charge us an additional $195.00 on top of the deal to put in a stabilizing bar for the fan, which is normally a $15.00 kit from Home Depot. It would have been nice to have that written in the Big Deal discription, but he does think that he was being misleading. Nobody wants their ceiling fan to wobble and would want this type of stabilizing bar included. And we planned to ask this provide to do other work for us with the electrical work have have to do within the home, but after this experience we did not want to use him. It should not cost over $300 for someone to have ceiling fan installed.

Installer was very attentive; explained how to use the new fan, how to install the battery and came on time to perform the job. Very pleased with his work and professionalism.

After an initial miscommunication on the address of the installation, the electrician was rerouted and arrived at 12:30pm for our original 11:00am appointment. He immediately proceeded to assist me in selecting the best location for the lights. The lights were installed, the area was cleaned up and the job was well done and looked great. We were very pleased with the outcome. The electrician finished up and left by 5:30 pm. Had the company provided an assistant, the time would most likely have been much shorter for completion of the job. As it was, the electrician had to make numerous trips outside to enter the attic and then return to the room to pull wires, etc. Perhaps this is the way these jobs are usually done, but a helper would have been nice.

If fine. He repaired and left.

This was an Angies List Deal, and Benz was very responsive and professional. Quickly returned calls and put us on their schedule. Showed up on-time, and did their work swiftly and cleanly. I'd use them again for other electrical needs as they arise

He was very nice and kind. He said either he or his nephew would be doing the work. His nephew was very nice and kind as well. I value niceness. I can tell if I am going to like someone within a minute of talking to them, even if it is over the phone.

I needed to cut the circuit for two separate spaces in the basement so that lights would be lit separately. Mr. Bentz shows up timely, and did this project in very professional manner. He managed to rewire the circuit without cutting out dry wall, which saves lots of my time and money!

Mr. Bentz was very responsive. We purchased the Big Deal for an electrical upgrade and his attention was on par with our expectations for any service provider. He was always timely and completed the work on the schedule planned. The panel was quickly installed, all circuits were labeled and outlets were installed exactly as requested. His technician even put in a larger outlet set than anticipated in a high use area. Since the price was based on an Angie's List Big Deal, it was very reasonable and included all that was listed.

Mr. Bentz was very professional, arrived on time, and gave me a free quote. The deal was for an upgrade from my current 150 amp electrical service (panel) to a 200 amp service (heavy up).The deal mentioned that the price did not include some additional items. Once Mr. Bentz provided a quote that included the additional items it nearly doubled the original "deal" price of $1,199.00 to $2,277.00. I have no problems Mr. Bentz, his company or service. I just can't afford the service right now.

I bought a house build in 1972 with no overhead lights upstairs in the bedrooms. John Bentz wired the overhead lights connecting them to the existing wall switch. I bought the fans at Home Depot and left them in each of the 4 bedrooms. He wired the light, put the fans together and installed them in a day. It was a long hot day for him but he stayed with it. It was during our hottest spell. He also installed a recessed light in the master bedroom hallway between the bathroom and walk in closet which is much more efficient that the previous light in the corner. I will defiantly use Benz Electric again for future jobs. I thought putting the fans together was extra effort on his part and he never complained.
