Description of Work: Our garage door had been damaged, and we wanted to explore the idea of having it repaired rather than replaced. I called and explained what I was looking for [to have a new panel made and installed into our garage door]. The scheduler explained their fees, and made sure I understand that even if the craftsman couldn't make the repair work, I'd still be paying for at least 1 hour, so I should have other tasks lined up for him to do.

Description of Work: Even though we're remodeling our kitchen on our own we needed some professional help moving a couple of water lines to accommodate different locations for our sink and refrigerator.

Description of Work: I hired him to put in a new storm door in my house.

Description of Work: They did drywall repair and ceiling fan installation.

Description of Work: They worked on our old house that we were moving out of and preparing to rent out. He did drywall repair, some minor plumbing (installed a new kitchen faucet), and adjusted some doors to make sure they were sealed correctly. He did some tile and grout work, too.

Description of Work: The only work that was completed was some spackle in back entry way and kitchen area. What was supposed to be done was one plumbing issue and 2 electrical issues and some spackle.

Description of Work: Repaired leak in shower stall. Refinished water-stained ceiling below. Repaired cracked wall from House settling. Replaced some outdoor rotting panels. Replaced porch railing.

Description of Work: Handyman came out to look at a leak in a water pipe. The handyman explained that they were not licensed to do the work that was required because it required welding, etc. He was clear in explaining this, and professional.

Description of Work: Replaced cracked glazing and rotten wood on large picture window.

Description of Work: I had blinds and other window shades installed which was excellent. I had crutain rods removed and holes filled and sanded which went well. I had a toilet repaired which was excellent too. I had two tv's removed from the walls and the holes filled and sanded which was an average at best job because the holes were not sanded properly and made even as they should have been on either of my walls. Both walls have bumps in them. Also I had a bathroom painted which was not very professionally done. Some spots were missed and crome was painted over in the bathroom which should not have been. Overall the people at the company were really nice and professional however the quality of some of the work was lacking. I would recomend them for items that require installation only.

Description of Work: I had them install a dryer vent, caulk the master bathroom tile, and put together some toys for my grandson.

Description of Work: The removal of a rotted wooden overhang outside above sliding doors and replacement of the overhang with wood that I purchased primed and painted.. Installation of ceiling drywall to replace one that was damaged.

Description of Work: I had my deck power-washed and stained. I also had them do a couple of other small jobs such as caulk my shower while at my house and reattach my outside house numer that had fallen off.

Description of Work: I had had a leak in my kitchen cabinet under the sink and the floor of the cabinet was warped. They removed the floor and put in a new one. They also replaced molding on one of our sunroom doors to match the other one.

Description of Work: I wish I could remember the exact date of service and how much I spent, but can't recall. This was a BigDeal purchase for 2 hours handman services. I waited until I had enough little things I couldn't do like install outside motion detection flood lights, installation of new faucet in kitchen and few other little things that actually only needed 90 minutes of time. The handyman Lewis/Louis was super nice and worked quickly and efficiently on everything he had to do. I've since moved into an apartment so not very likely I'll need their services again in the foreseeable future but, would have no problem calling them should the situation change.

Description of Work: This handyman service on Angie's List described performing water/storm damage, roof work, brick/mason work, drywall work and carpentry. I used their website to enter my information and problem. I had several leaks from the latest nor-easter and needed them to locate the leak and make the repairs. They responded with a phone call from a women stating that they got my message from their form on their website and that I would receive a call from a manager. The next day I received a phone call from their manager and I explained again what my issues were and that I needed someone to come out and provide me with a quote. First I found out that there is a $40 charge to come out and that at least one hour of work is necessary. There charge is $88 per hour. Then he told me, after I had described the problems and the work needed, that their company can certainly do the job. So we scheduled a "craftsman" to come out to provide the estimate and perform at least the first hour of work. The scheduled date was for 11/8/2012, two days after the phone call with the manager. I took the day off from work to be there for a 2:00PM appointment. At 1:15PM that afternoon I get a call from the same women stating that the craftsman that was supposed to come to my house would not be able to due to still working on his current job. She wanted me to reschedule for the next day. I stated that I had taken off work that day for the estimate and to meet with the craftsman and needed to have someone come out that day. The woman told me that they would see what they could do. Afer about an 45-minutes, the women called me back and told me she had a different craftsman to come out but that he only had a 16-foot ladder. I told her that my issues were from a leak and it might be from the roof of my 2-story house. She said that a 16-foot ladder would not get up there. Then she put me on hold and after a minute or so, got back to me stating that their service normally doesn't go that high on a house. I said "WHAT". The manager the had told me they could and scheduled me. Then the women continue to make excuses, and told me that I would need to wait about 3-4 weeks to get a tall ladder craftsman. Their advertisements and the manager say nothing about height limitations, etc., nor a timeframe to get one. I think I simple got the brush off since the first craftsman was not available and they really wanted me to reschedule. I will not use this company and will tell my freinds not to use this company. This appears to be false advertisement and poor customer relations. Not satisfied at all!

Description of Work: Brian installed outdoor carpeting and painted my outside shutters.

Description of Work: I had him replace the screen in our porch door and adjust a bedroom door that never closed properly that we were not able to see what the interference was.

Description of Work: A sump pump and a fluorescent light fixture was replaced. A hot water line in one of the faucet was blocked by debris which had to be replaced. Shrubs had to be removed.

Description of Work: I used Handyman Matters Of Columbia. They did some woodwork in the front.
