Richard arrived as scheduled, promptly at 8:00 AM. He was able to tackle every item on our list as well as a couple of surprise items. He patched a 18" x 15" hole in our ceiling from some plumbing work using sheet rock & mud that we provided, re-hung 4 sliding closet doors that needed adjustments, and replaced the track and hardware entirely for a 5th closet door. I had purchased new tracking hardware for every door, but he was able to fix 4 of the 5 doors without needing the new hardware, meaning I can return most of the hardware to get that money back. Even 5 minutes before he was scheduled to leave, we thought of one more project (our front door), and he was able to fix the problems (noisy opening & closing, deadbolt misaligned) in just a few minutes. All in all, Richard was at our house for 3 hours and did jobs that combined would have taken me at least a day and a half! He was extremely professional and left all the work areas very clean.

The job went very well. The provider completed the repair in less time than I expected, and he applied a promotional discount, saving me more money.

Provider was a little late but had informed me ahead of time. Work done was good.

Scheduling was difficult because we were going through a wet spell and the work is outside. But once there was a break in the weather Chuck stopped by and looked at the job, came up with an approach and came back later to try it. That didn't work so he called for a colleague, who on another day, joined him and together they removed the trim, fixed the underlying problems and replaced the trim. Chuck and his colleague were pleasant, fully equipped and professional.

He was on time, communicating en route to let us know he was coming. He was very professional and installed the blinds with no fuss.

I liked them. They were pretty good.

I sent an email to Handyman Matters telling them the gist of what I needed. A recent storm had left a downspout hanging and there was damage done to the gutter at the rear of the house. Their office got back to me immediately and based on my information, gave me an estimate. She explained that the estimate did not include possible materials that might be necessary and that the person who would do the repair would let me know before any work was done. The appointment was made with my convenience the main concern. The handyman showed up even a few minutes early. He confirmed what my concerns were and proceeded to look over the areas to be repaired. He then told me exactly what he would be doing, letting me know that there were no additional costs for materials. He then did the repair and was done in about an hour. The experience was very positive. The company is very personable and professional. I would definitely use their services in the future and highly recommend Handyman Matters!

IT went very well. He removed the soffit and old light fixture and spackled the wall and installed a new light fixture. He was very professional and very polite and did an excellent job. I will use them for my other bathroom updates.

Very positive experience. The problem was found and fixed quickly. Was able to deal with unforeseen issues very effectively. Took 1.5 days and was happy with result.

The handyman showed up a half hour late for the job, but he did stay a half hour longer so we did get our 4 hours of work. He said he had had problems with his ladder. He removed old, rotted window sill from second-floor window, replaced it with a new board, and painted the board and caulked the window. He said only the board was rotted and that water had not penetrated inside probably because we had our trim painted every 2 years. The installation and painting were fine, but a hardened glob of caulk was left on the front step. He did clean up the rest of the area and remove all debris. While repainting our front door, he placed a tarp under the door to protect our floors. However, blotches of paint were left on the brass door knob and knocker. In a few places, the paint doesn't go right up to the brass fixtures leaving some small, white areas without any paint. He reattached a small railing in the stairwell going into basement. The railing location had to be adjusted so that he could tie into a stud. We weren't surprised by this as our house seems to have unevenly spaced studs. He reluctantly disassembled the range hood for us so that we could use degreaser to clean the fan ourselves. Then he reassembled the hood. He gave us good advice not to turn on the hood for at least a day to make sure the motor was dry. All jobs except the wall recess (not a priority) were completed in the 4 hours. We left a message for Rose that we did not need the 2 hours later in the week. Our main complaint with the work was lack of attention to detail: the glob of caulk left on the front step, paint left on the brass door fixtures, and paint not covering all the white areas on the door. We'll probably try another company in the future. Since we're writing this review late at night, we have not had a chance to discuss things with the company.

They were wonderful! They were prompt, didn't take long to do a simple job, the price was reasonable and I was completely satisfied.

Tech arrived 45 minutes late. I had been assured that the tech could work on my stove/oven, but when he arrived he said he was not qualified to do so. Since this was one of the two primary reasons I had called a handyman rather than replace the existing fixtures myself this was definitely a disappointment. I felt that the remainder of the tasks could have been finished faster had the tech been more focused. At the end of the visit he had to give me a handwritten receipt (the comapny later mailed me an invoice) since he had no forms in his truck. Overall - not very professional and not worth the money spent. SInce I have had much better results with several other companies at better prices I will not use this company in the future.

The gentleman from Handyman Matters arrived on time and got right to work. He quickly removed the blinds. I was impressed with his professionalism and promptness.

He was hesitant from the start. Retrospectively speaking, he should not have taking the job and wasted my time and money go back and forth to Home Depot for more materials. He did contact a person with better skillsts then his own but latter changed his mind thinking he could complete the task.

Set up appointment to get estimates on work. Chuck arrived ready to work. We went over everything and he gave me estimates of the time it would take to do each job, That day he completed some things on the list and we agreed on dates for him to come back to do the rest. He was here each day on time and his estimated schedule to complete the work was accurate. Everyone I dealt with at Handyman Matters was friendly and professional. Chuck did a great job. I will definitely call them again when I need work done.

Called the day before to confirm services wanted and times they would be at our house. Our roof was leaking and we wanted them to check it out. The employee (forgot his name!) was professional, examined the roof from the inside first (from attic) and then from the outside. The vent was bent, so he fixed the vent without difficulty. No other services needed at that time. Very quick and professional. We paid them an administrative fee and for an hour of work.

Handyman Matters Of Columbia were reasonable for what they did. Their estimate was close to what we ended up paying. They were punctual and they were helpful in telling us what material we needed so that they could purchase them ahead of time. They talked to us one day and then came to do the work the next day and that way they did not waste time and they had enough time to get the material.

I have no complaint other than price. It took over 3 hours and, for labor only, was over $400. This was after I picked up the door from Lowe's and brought it home myself. I recommend using a service with a flat fee for any door installation. I was kicking myself for not having Lowe's do the delivery and install which would have been only $99.

It was excellent and I would definitely use them again.

My experience was really good. He did a great job, left the place cleaned and uncluttered. I am really happy.

Leon came on time, got our list, and went to work. We liked him a lot and will use this company again.

This was our fourth time having Handyman Matters do work in our home and we've always been very pleased with all aspects of their handymen. Rich did this work and did an outstanding job. He consulted me every step of the way and explained things to me not only for this particular job, but for some future upgrades we want to have done. I can't say enough about the quality and professionalism of all of the work I've had done by them. This is extremely important to us because we are new homeowners and we were very cautious about hiring contractors for the first time. THANK YOU!
