i looked in detail at a few angie's list carpet cleaning companies. i called my carpet cleaning service and had good discussion on phone and scheduled cleaning for monday, 9/10, 11-12. no one showed by 2pm. i called, no answer. left message, no response. i called another company and scheduled basement work for wed, 9/12. i did eventually get a phone message late in day with excuses, but i discarded. i would not risk waiting another day waiting for same company.

I found My Carpet Cleaning Service, highly rated on Angie's List, and called for an estimate. Rich promptly returned my call, provided an estimate and set an appointment. We later exchanged emails to confirm the job. Rich arrived on time, quickly evaluated the work to be done against our original discussion and estimate, and got to work. He faced some serious challenges with some very old, dirty, greasy spots and stains, and he worked very hard for several hours. I expected would be a few spots that just wouldn't come out, but Rich wasn't satisfied until they were gone. There was no sense of him hurrying to get done. And unlike other carpet cleanings I've had over the years, no spots "reappeared" as the carpet and fabric dried. The carpet and upholstery dried clean, soft, and continued to look like new. The final cost was very close to the original estimate, and an excellent value. By the way, Rich gives a 5% discount for vacuuming before he gets there. What a deal! Finally, Rich is courteous and cheerful. He patiently and thoughtfully answered all my questions. It was a pleasure to have him work in our home. I highly recommend My Carpet Cleaning Service, and without any reservation.

Rich ran a little late but it was because of a previous job that took longer and rush-hour traffiic. He was very conscientious about updating us and offering to reschedule. He did a great job-the animals had really trashed the carpet over the past year. He was kind enough to leave his big fans overnight to help dry the carpet, and just had us leave them on the back porch for him to pick up. We've had him out for the past 3 years, and it's been a great experience every time, he gives a lot of advice about how to try and avoid problems.

I would recommend Rich to anyone. He did great work.

I was amazed at what a proper carpet cleaning could do to brighten my home and lift my spirits. I had guests coming and felt confident that the children could play on the floor safely in a clean environment without harsh chemicals. Rich was very communicative throughout the process and available to explain all the details before, during and even after the job was completed and he'd been paid. Great service! So glad I didn't go the route of hiring one of those coupon discounter services that send flyers through the mail and such. I might have paid a bit more with My Carpet Cleaner, but I knew at every step of the way what I was paying for. No nasty, disaster surprises. I will definitely use this service again!

It was a great experience. Rich was very prompt in communicating with me about what work he planned to do, when he would do the work, and how much it would cost. He showed up exactly as promised and did the work himself. It is always great to work with the individual who owns a small business. I was especially impressed that he would not take the check I planned to give him prior to doing the cleaning (I needed to return to my workplace) but insisted I pay him only after the fact. I found out later that my tenant was very pleased with the cleanliness of my townhouse, including the clean carpets.

I got them from Angie's List. The owner is Rich. I would highly recommend him to everybody. This is the first time I have ever used him, because I have used another carpet cleaning service. Rich is great. They were some stains in my house that I thought could not possibly come out, and he made them come out. I thought that the stairs were old and worn in, and he put some application on it that made them look like new. There was a stain upstairs that I just thought was not going to come out, and he got it out. He is very negotiable on the pricing as far as taking things off that I don’t need. He was really good. I have already told him that I will see him next year.

I was very happy with Rick cleaning my basement carpet. He was very prompt when I told him I want the job done very quickly and extremely professional in explaining everything about the process, options and pricing. He was as well very concerned about me spending money, which is really rare from my experience with other contractors. He was very helpful and gave me a lot of tips about maintenance of carpets, stone and hard-floors. I really appreciate his services, his patience and professionalism. I will recommend him anytime I will get the chance.

The best carpet cleaning I have had done. Rich removed stains that two other cleaners could not (and both cleaners were highly rated on Angie's List or Checkbook). He also returned nine days later to work on some stains that he noticed that "green cleaning" left and he thought might come out if he went over it with the non green cleaner. Those stains were greatly reduced. I contacted Rich by email with details of what and when and that evening he emailed back. We arranged a date the next week and he came as scheduled. He called as requested before he came. He worked hard and it took about three hours and he even left fans so it was sure to dry for guests that were arriving the next afternoon. He came the next day and picked up the fans and even checked rug and two stains that I had had for years and that two other carpet cleaning firms had not been able to remove. The stains had significantly faded but he treated and covered again. Now the stains are completely gone. Downstairs there was a big stain from water that dripped through the ceiling that looked rusty. This stain had been treated by another company about two years before (Groupon) and had not been removed or significantly reduced. I guess you get what you pay for; Rich removed the stain. Great job.

I had a sewage water back up and flood from a pipe repair in a basement apartment. Rich responded to my inquiry immediately, and gave expert advice on what needed to be done and options available. Old carpet removal, selection and installation of the new carpet, was swift and efficient. In no time at all, the apartment was like new again. Communication with Rich and his partner Lou was excellent and they were very responsive to my needs and the urgency of the situation.

In March our basement water heater burst. Water from the heater sprayed onto and soaked the adjacent drywall, wall frame and wall-to-wall carpeting. It was a minor disaster, to say the least. I called a plumper to replace the water heater, but I also had concerns about making sure the wall and carpet got completely dried to prevent the growth of any mold. I called My Carpet Cleaning Service for this job, based on their good rating on Angie's list. I was not disappointed. Rich (the owner) was very thorough, displayed deep knowledge and expertise about how to address the situation, and maintained professionalism at all times. After I called, he came over promptly, assessed the problem, and gave me a fair estimate. After we went over the estimate, he and his associates went to work on the problem, using special techniques and equipment to extract all the water from the wall and carpet. This process required that the equipment be left in place for about a day, or maybe a little less than that. Once the carpet and wall were dry, they performed tests with additional equipment to make sure that all the wet spots on the wall were gone. Once the test confirmed this, they re-attached the wall-to-wall carpeting and used more special equipment to clean the entire carpet. They used a safe cleaning solution, since we have children who play on the carpet a lot. As I said before, I was very satisfied with the job Rich and his team did and the care and attention they paid to make sure I was satisfied and that all my concerns were addressed. In speaking with Rich, I got the strong sense that he had a lot of experience in handling these kinds of issues.

My daughter had painted the basement carpet with a friend, so we were in trouble. Rich came twice to try different solvents, at his own expense. When he found one that worked, I decided to do a lot more of the carpet in the house, since he was clearly dedicated. He did an excellent job. I highly recommend him.

The work was professionally and clearly explained, carefully price quoted and executed. Questions were promptly addressed in the aftermath. Following the cleaning several people asked if the carpeting was new. When I needed help with a spill shortly after the work was completed the owner returned without hesitation and cleaned the spot free of charge. I can recommend Rich's carpet cleaning without hesitation.

Richard was right on time. Very courteous and professional. Explained options very thoroughly and what he was going to do and why it was necessary. The results were outstanding. The next day we saw a small area that still looked like it could be better. Called Richard that morning and he was over that day to take care of issue. Ok this may seem weird that I am reviewing a company I did not even use to clean my carpets, but Rich at My Carpet Cleaning provided amazing service during my carpet crisis today. My 13-year old dog pooped all over my white living room carpet and I called Rich at My Carpet Cleaning at about 3 pm because I saw his Big Deal on Angie's List. He said he would love to clean my carpet but couldn't do it today and he highly recommended I get this taken care of asap. He called two other companies for me and found another company to come out this afternoon. The stains (about 8) all came completely out. If I was scheduling service in the future, I would use My Carpet Cleaning.

The proprietor showed up on time, analyzed the stains with alacrity and precision, and wasted no time in getting down to business. He finished up within a couple of hours, leaving carpets looking good as new, and he even recommended that I call the installer to fasten down a patch of it better. He used high-powered fans and open windows to speed drying, and the carpet was dry in exactly the time he predicted. Totally professional, responded quickly to my initial inquiry - a very satisfying transaction!

We're preparing our house for sale and needed our carpets and tile floors cleaned. I referred to three companies from Angie's list and called for estimates. The other companies wanted me to estimate the sq. footage so they could give me an estimate. This is difficult to do because we did not want a carpet cleaning co. to move furniture etc. We only needed the high traffic areas and the areas that show cleaned as well as the entire kitchen, powder room, laundry room tiles cleaned. Rich from My Carpet Cleaning Service was the only one who offered to stop by and take a look the next day. He showed up promptly and met with my husband to discuss the details and take measurements. We had our estimate e-mail by that evening. Rich showed up on time on the scheduled day and made our entire house look new! We've taken good care of the carpets over the years and are not hard on them, but the difference he made is incredible. He spent a lot of extra time cleaning the baseboard carpet in the master bedroom and didn't charge for that service. The pieces he had to move or elevate with styrofoam until the carpet dried were all handled with care. He brought in several large fans so the carpet dried quickly. The tile floors are beautiful! The tiles and grout look brand new. You can tell he enjoys his work and takes great pride in doing it well. Exceptional quality and tremendous value is what we received from My Carpet Cleaning Service! Thanks Rich!

It was absolutely wonderful. I've had my carpet cleaned several times. No one has been as conscientious as him. He used his own water. He vacuumed, pretreated, and then cleaned. I was amazed. You usually don't get that extra type of service. He was very flexible because I had to cancel the morning appointment and reschedule at night. He set the furniture on styrofoam while the carpet dried. He protected the walls using corner protectors so the hoses wouldn't scrape up the walls.

very well. cleaned and got stains out. i cannot remember price since i did this last year and already submitted the report. job was excellent. carpet stains and smells came out considerably

After a heavy rainstorm I found that water was seeping into my finished basement and soaked my carpet. I was devasted and wasn't sure what to do. I called My Carpet Cleaning first thing the next morning, and Rich was there by the afternoon. Rich sat down with me and explained everything very clearly. I discussed my financial concerns (especially since I still had Christmas presents to buy) and he worked with me on the price. He even gave me a discounted rate, even though technically I didn't qualify for the discount. He was very careful about explaining to me the potential for mold and what should be done to address it, which I greatly appreciated. He removed all of the carpet padding, vacuumed the water out of the rugs, and left large fans to dry out the rugs and walls for three days. He even promised to drop off stain remover next time he is in my neighborhood to get a stain out of the carpet from where my furniture legs were wet. (And I think he really will do it too! He is just THAT nice of a guy!) In a very stressful and unexpected situation, My Carpet Cleaning really helped me through it. I would definetly use them again, and I would definetly recommend their services.

Please see my comment above. Rich is first class all the way!!!! He was very professional, courteous, and caring. I am recovering from foot surgery and Rich worked with my adult son to make sure that I would be taken care of. There were several stains in our carpet and one huge coffee stain in my living room that was the result of me knocking over my cup while eating a meal in a semui-reclining position because of the surgery. Rich was very thorough in his explanation of the work and old us that he was not sure if the stain would come out but that he would try his vety best. I am delighted with the results!!! He did not just clean our carpet throughout the house-He revitalized it!!! It looks nearly new and it's actually about 5 years old. Although the cofee stain did not completrly come out ( according to Rich) one would be hard pressed to see that such a stain was ever there. He's the best! Even snt a thank you card to us afterwards. He deserves an A+ but since Angie's list does not include that rating I had to give him just an A. Awesome all around!!!! See above.
