Pros: Good for emergencies: Rich was willing to come out late in the evening to help us dry out our basement after a flood. Price: His price was much less than competing companies. Cons: Messy: Didn't clean up at all after he was finished. Didn't even remove the ruined carpet from the room. In an emergency, I would call Rich again, because he was willing to work overtime to help us. But, the job did feel rushed, and perhaps not as thorough of a service as a more expensive company would have provided.

I called for a quote and he was very thorough with explaining all the pricing. He gave me a 20% discount because the house was vacant and vacuumed and did the stairway runner for free because of the large volume of carpet I was having cleaned. The price was $75.00 more than he quoted me because of the edge cleaning that was needed. I was disappointed by this because I had expressed to him that the carpet was quite dirty after having had tenants in the property for 7 years and only one carpet cleaning in that time. We talked on the phone about stains and how bad the stairs were, etc. The question could have been asked on the phone - do you think you are going to need particular attention to the edges anywhere? The $75.00 I paid for edge cleaning nearly eliminated the 20% discount I was given in the first place. In my experience, it's not uncommon for carpet cleaners to add on to their estimates once they have arrived - usually in relation to stains. $75.00 isn't going to "kill me" but it's the principle of it that disappoints me. It took about 5 hours (one man crew) to do the cleaning. Overall, the carpets looked great when he was done. There were stains in the kids playroom and one of the bedrooms that did not entirely come out. But I know he tried and tried to get those stains out because I saw him working on them. He may have had more luck getting them out if we knew what the stains were from, but since it was done by tenants we had no way of knowing. The edges looked good too. It's disappointing how quickly the high traffic areas look bad again, I can't say that's down to anything he did or did not do while he was here, but it is true. He has a lot of experience with restoration work - flood and/or fire damage. He gave us very good tips on how to prevent leaks into our basement, pipes from bursting, etc. He made sure we knew where the water shut offs are in our house. General note when you are getting quotes from carpet cleaners: In this example "they" does NOT mean My Carpet Cleaning Service, it means "the industry" as a whole. It seems to me that when they estimate the cost over the phone they discount the amount of square footage you give them. Because my house was empty it was very easy for me to measure the rooms and add it up. I was having all of the carpet in the 2nd story of my house cleaned and everything up there is carpeted except the 3 bathrooms. I gave them the actual square footage of the carpet that was going to be cleaned, not the total square footage of the upstairs. When they give you the estimate they multiply the square footage times a given price per square foot. They give you the estimate based on that, but in their experience they will not have to clean all of that square footage (because of bathrooms, hard wood floors, whatever). If you give them the exact square footage of the carpet, they often try to tell you it's going to be more once they get to your house.

My carpets look brand new; I can't believe how clean Rich was able to get them. He is extremely professional and dedicated to excellent service. He is also a really nice guy. You can't go wrong with this company! Highly highly recommend!

He went over and above what was needed and required to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. They were really, really fantastic. We just loved what they did. They brought us a spot remover and it's the most fabulous product. I usually don't find somebody that I really, really like so it was remarkable; I was very happy with them.

I think very highly of My Carpet Cleaning Service. They are high tech and they know if there are any chemicals to put down. He is very personable and I would recommend him to any of my friends and relatives.

It was average job. The room was not filthy dirty, I thought he did an average job. I did not like that the van left an oil spot on my driveway. He is work was satisfactory, he was on time and was courteous. I would use him again as the van does not leave a spot on my driveway again. His price was some what below others, he had good prices.

Rich came out promptly, assessed the problem, and did what he could to get the process of drying out going. He worked with the insurance company and helped us find high quality contractors to do the duct work and floor refinishing. I had used Rich for carpet cleaning in the past, but he really stepped up when we had a crisis. I think he is terrific, with an outstanding work and service ethic. I give him my highest recommendation.

They were professional and the service was really good. They went out of their way when we were moving. They picked up the carpet, wrapped it and packed it up for the move.

They are very good. They did the work when I asked and they were incredibly nice and friendly.

He is excellent. He is always on time; If there is a problem in getting to the house at the appointed time, he will call. His rates are reasonable, he works quickly and he protects our furniture real well. He is known for going above and beyond what he is supposed to do; whether there is a stain or going underneath things. He offers advice on how to deal with our kitchen floor. We had a new floor put in a couple of years ago and he gave us information (unsolicited) and made a recommendation on what products to use and how to keep it clean; I really appreciated it.

He didn't get back to me for 6 days and at that time they sent me an e-mail. I was not happy.

It was excellent. They are outstanding. The guy explained things very well. The job comes out, they are very thorough, patient and the price is outstanding.

It turned out fabulous. He was extremely responsive and it was worth every penny. He was very meticulous in taking care of everything. He was focused on little details, explained everything that was going on and he told me why he was doing what he was doing; he made sure he wasn’t damaging anything. He was always on time, extremely polite and very courteous. It was a very good experience.
