I really liked his reviews from Angies List which is why I chose him. He was very professional and he showed up on time. It took him a couple of hours to get the rug cleaned. I am satisfied with the outcome.

They did a great job. I was just moving in and they were able to come out right away to clean the carpets. They explained things well to me and left some fans behind to let the carpet dry properly. They covered the steps so when the movers came in, they would be protected.

He was very nice and very thorough. He was on time for the appointment and responsive when I called. However, I went with another provider who was a bit more in my budget.

To prep my house for sale, I had the 17-year old cream colored economy grade carpet completely cleaned by a heavily advertised co using a coupon special ($99 coupon, but added deep cleaning options, so $225). Unfortunately they couldnt remove many stains and even added new ones and marks on the wall when they dragged their hoses everywhere without protecting the walls or the floor. My realtor recommended Rick as the top carpet cleaner in the business, who had done the hardest jobs for many of her clients. This would save me from having to replace my worn out and dirty stained carpets, which would have cost me 3-5x his fees. He came the next day (my realtor is prominent and a major referral source) in his own state of the art truck, did all the work himself (his helpers were out) - moving furniture and setting up guards on the wall, moving his equipment (he also had a kit of his own stain removal tools) and cleanup. If one obvious stain remained then the whole room's carpet would have to be replaced, and to match, likely the whole floor would have to replaced too. Before starting I showed him specifically and asked him how sure he was of getting out stains that the first co. couldnt get out, and he was "very sure" so I hired him. He took out: many gallons of old coffee stains, the dried on red candle wax, permanent markers, oil paints, yellowed edges and water stains. Everyone was amazed; the carpet was turned from replace to acceptable. He did require lots of water and left a noticeable large stain under his truck (that went away after a few weeks) and he was relatively expensive, but the value provided made him money well spent. His reviews are all top notch and he backs it with satisfaction guarantees.

After moving into a new house, we hired Rich to help us clean about 600 square feet of our basement carpet. Originally, we had asked for a pretty ambitious cleaning, but when we decided to scale it back, Rich was very amenable and flexible and explained our options. He and his co-worker performed the work we asked on time, with no hassle, and we were very satisfied. We would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about Rich and Mark...they provided exemplary work and customer service. Plus, they're both great guys and a lot of fun! I will be recommending them to my friends and neighbors and of course, will use them in the future.

Rich and company were fantastic. He came when promised, did an amazing job cleaning my carpet - got stains out that had been there for years and I'd thought were permanent (ink, etc.) Went out of his way to make sure everything was clean, orderly, even left behind two sets of 'booties' for folks who came in after him. I will 100% use him and his service again in the future.

I called MCC on an emergency basis. After removing the furniture from my home for a move, we made the determination that the walkthrough wouldn't go well, unless the carpet was cleaned. MCC came in within 24 hours notice and did a fantastic job. The 10 year old carpet looked new. The 3 year old carpet was sparkling. I only asked for a certain area to be cleaned to reduce costs. MCC couldn't deal with that. They cleaned the whole home and didn't charge me extra because they couldn't stand the sight of dirty carpet. These folks are pros.

Rich was prompt, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He worked quickly to bring his specialized drying equipment into our home and was able to save our carpet (and our entire basement). He gave us regular updates on how dry things were getting and really went above and beyond to help us. He worked seamlessly with our insurance company to make our financial stress as limited as possible. He even gave us some "extras" like a gift card to a local restaurant and cleaned some of our upstairs carpet which sorely needed it. We are happy that Rich was available to work on our house and would gladly use MCC's services again.

The serviceman from My Carpet Cleaning Service was working on top of other contractors such as movers and plumbers so he was amazing and pretty mellow about it. The price, quality, and professionalism were excellent.

Rich was very professional, did a thorough estimate and was extremely dedicated and thorough in carrying out the job. Even is pet friendly, brought great dog treats! Would absolutely hire again.

This is the second time I have had My Carpet Cleaning Services clean our carpets and they did just as fantastic a job as the first time. I have used a variety of carpet cleaners over the years - those with coupons in the mail, those boasting environmentally friendly products, those that do "dry" cleaning, those that do "wet" cleaning and I have either had spotty or terrible service. This company has been wonderful! He is excellent with my dog when he comes to clean. Rich is very prompt in getting back to you with appointments and is happy to communicate through email. He discusses where the worst stains are and asks what made them so he can use the appropriate product and he is cordial and professional overall. He is the ONLY company I have had that actually takes their time cleaning the carpet and treating spots instead of a quick in and out job. And he takes extra care with the steps even if they are not particularly dirty, because they are such high traffic areas. His prices are very reasonable and both times he has done jobs for us he has gone above and beyond to clean "extra" areas without extra charge, such as an armchair or a small office. I would highly highly recommend his work and will continue to use him EVERY time I need our carpets cleaned.

He came in and talked to us about what he was going to use and what he was going to do. He was very informative and was just the kind of person you would want to work with; he really educates you on what he is doing. He had a concern about our bird, and let us be aware that if it was necessary, we could take the bird out to avoid problems. He gave me a link of the chemicals he was using in case it interfered with any of our allergies and I really appreciated that. He is really, really good! He had a system so he would seal off areas, isolate the stained areas and set up fans, and he was very good and experienced/knowledgeable!

Rich cleaned our rugs on time, did a great job, and left us with cleaning solution to clean our chairs ourselves. That was a really nice thing for him to do. He dried the rugs as he said he would and did a fine job. Very honest and hard working.

We could not have been happier with the quality of service that we received from Rich. The carpet in our basement was disgusting and dirty with major spills and stains that were more than 3 years old. We honestly did not think that anyone would be able to remove those stains. However, Rich managed to not only remove the stains but to make the entire carpet look new again. He also moved all of the furniture in our bedroom (including a heavy bed) to clean the carpets, and went out of his way to remove a paint stain on our stair case even though this went beyond the area covered in the Angie's List Deal that we purchased. I only wish that we had used his services before we spent so much money replacing the carpets in some other areas of our house.

Excellent. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, integrity, and quality product. Rich was very honest with me about what I needed and when he realized that additional fabric protection wa snot needed on 1 of the carpets, he told me and adjusted the price accordingly.

Arrived on time. Worked for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Took care to protect floors and door frames from dirt and the hose. Cleaned a couple of surface pet stains. There was a loose piece of carpet on one of the stairs which he repaired. Carpet looks excellent. Left shoe booties and furniture blocks for us to use until carpet is dry.

The work was done personally by the company owner, Rich Gakavian. He vacuumed all the rooms prior to the cleaning (even though we had done this ourselves in anticipation of the cleaning), treated "special" spots on the carpet (we have three cats) and was able get out stains that I thought had become permanent features of the carpet, moved all the heavy pieces of furniture (including beds and bureaus) that we had not removed from the rooms to clean behind and under them, put little plastic protectors or Styrofoam blocks under all the furniture so that the legs would not stain the newly cleaned carpet, and provide us with cloth booties to wear around the house over night while the carpet did it final drying (which also make great shower caps). Overall,he did an exceptionally thorough job of cleaning the carpets. They now look new and the house smells cleaner and fresher than it has in four years. We have had the carpets cleaned by other services since we have lived in this house (since 2007), but none of those services came even close to the quality and thoroughness of My Carpet Cleaning Service. In terms of price, he was very reasonable, and, given the quality of the workmanship, I would say we got a tremendous bargain. Lastly, Rich was very knowledgeable about the different cleaning methods and seemed to have a range of high-tech testing equipment to find pet stains and moisture, different cleaning solutions to treat stains (bio-enzymes, etc.), and a variety of steam and water machines mounted in his van to do industrial quality cleaning. As importantly from my standpoint, he was very pleasant to deal with - friendly, courteous, conciencious, and professional. He grew up in Silver Spring, and clealy takes a lot of pride in his work and in providing top quality service to his community. I would highly recommend Rich and My Carpet Cleaning Service to anyone wanting carpet and upholstery cleaning.

It went very well! The provider was exact in his cleaning process and took very good care of the seat cushion. There is no residual odor and I am not worried about any bacterial issues.

Cleaners arrived on time and were very pleasant explaining what they would be doing and approximately how long it would take. They did an excellent job of removing all stains and grime. The estimated time to completion was completely accurate.

The service was phenomenal! Rich took his time to clean the pretty dirty carpet floors of our two bedroom condo. He also cleaned the black areas around the baseboards caused by poor circulation in the house. Rich was very detailed and meticulous as he cleaned. Moving all the furniture and taking care to put the plastic holders down under the furniture to keep it off of the carpet. I was almost 9 months pregnant and very anxious to get the house in order before bringing my baby home. Rich understood and his work showed how important this was to him as well. He was on time, very friendly, and performed the highest quality of work. We are moving into a home with hardwood floors but I would recommend him in second.

It went very good. It was above my expectations.

Rich is a great guy -- very professional and accommodating. He was very careful to test several carpets and pieces of furniture and give me a realistic assessment of what to expect. On two particular area rugs which were very delicate and stained with dog urine, he called a specialist for me on the spot and turned that work over to him. I would definitely use him again.

Rich gave a thorough estimate on the phone and came on the date specified--even called to say he could come a bit early. He and his associate did a good job of preparing all of the rooms for cleaning, including tucking up dust-ruffles to keep them clean. The carpet, including stairs, came out well. He did an additional area rug in one of the bedrooms without charge. We also asked him to clean a small woolen oriental rug. Rich determined that it was wool, hand-woven, and took the time to explain the process and did a test to make sure the colors wouldn't run. The rug came out bright and clean and for a very reasonable additional charge. During the time he was with us, we had a slight problem with a toilet and they actually checked it out and fixed it--no charge! Rich also gave us some very helpful advice about pipes in cold weather, another area that the company handles, for which we were grateful--again, no charge. There is one problem that keeps us from listing MCS as "excellent." They forgot to take with them a mop that they used, and despite three calls, they have yet to come and pick it up--three weeks later. Other than that, we were very satisfied and gladly recommend the company.

The worker, Rich and Mark, were personable and friendly. Their work was careful and efficient and they took great care with our house and furnishings as they moved equipment around. They kept us informed of their progress and explained what they were going to do and when. They showed up on time and didn't rush through the job, but finished in the approx. 2 hour time they said it would take. (We had a relatively small job to do.) They did a particularly good job of cleaning up stains. We would use them again and highly recommend them to others.
