Description of Work: They came to snake a drain and the final price was higher than the price quoted. They did not give an itemized bill and when contacted, 3 separate times, for an itemized bill, they never responded. They got my money and ran. Also, a Mark contacted me about coming out to run a camera down the drain and he did not show up for the first appointment, but called hours later to reschedule for a few days later, then he did a no call/ no show for the second day. Very unprofessional to not call the homeowner and notify me that he was not coming. I have used Len the Plumber in the past but after this experience, I will not use or recommend them in the future.

Description of Work: Lateral sewer line replacement from house out to the county connection. Much back-and-forth about whether the line needed to be replaced under my basement floor, too. Thank God in the end it did not! Job went reasonably well until follow-up was required to go to closure on some unfinished details: a replacement top for the WSSC curb stop out front that had been broken by the digger crew, and resetting my basement bathroom toilet, which had been the access point for a video camera. LTP contacted WSSC, and a WSSC tech came out to replace the steel curb stop top, but I had to engage a different plumber to reset the downstairs toilet, as the LTP technician wanted $2,940 to reset the toilet.

Description of Work: Fix leaks/install new faucets

Description of Work: Install plumbing underground. Excellent job. The problem is corrected, no moisture build up around the foundation of my home or the grounds. The tech was very friendly, funny ad knowledgeable. No complaints

Description of Work: replaced hot water heater

Description of Work: Unclogged a toilet. Everything was fine except the price. The plumber did a great job, but I think $275 is way too much for the amount of work required. I would use them again in an emergency.

Description of Work: On March 6, 2016 I had a sewer backup in my home located at 3617 Melfa Lane, Bowie, Md. 20715. I contacted Rotorooter and they came out and fixed the problem at a cost of $850.00. A few days later, rotorooters cameraman came out and ran his camera down my cleanup drain and found the problem was on the city of Bowie's property. The city disputes this. Rotorooter left a DVD showing the problem. I called another plumbing company, Len the Plumber and after several attempt their cameraman came out on May, 14, 2016. He ran his camera down my cleanup drain and confirmed the problem was on city property. I asked him what steps I needed to take to get the problem fixed. He told me he would submit a report to the city of Bowie on the problem and would send me a copy the report. Today is Monday, one 27th and as of yet I have not heard from Len the Plumber. Overtime call they give me the run around. The problem is not fixed and I cannot go forward against the city without this report. I am planning to contact the Better Business Bureau about Len the plumber's practices. I wrote the company last Monday, June 20 and as of yet I have not received a reply. This is a terrible business practice. My sewer problem has yet to be addressed and I feel the sewer will stop up again unless I can force the City of Bowie to make repairs. Description of Work: They needed to replace a pipe in the basement that had burst in the store room of the basement where the furnace and hot water heater is located. The serviceman informed what needed to be done and he completed the job. Now mind you where pipe burst was over the furnace and hot water heater so pilot was out on the hot water heater which he did not relight. After have the day had gone pass I noticed that we still did not have hot water so I called Len the plummer back and informed that we still did not have hot water so the same serviceman returned and explained that would be a separate charge and I called the office to speak a supervisor and as I was speaking with the supervisor the serviceman drove off. So needless to say that we were very disgusted with Len the plummer. We will not be using them again.

Description of Work: I'm not sure if I would use Len's services in the future. I had a shower leak that leaked into the kitchen. The plumber cut two holes in the ceiling to find the leak and fix it. The next day it leaked again. Another Len plumber came, but could not find anything wrong. |I kept the holes open for about 1-2 weeks before making the repair. I haven't noticed another leak, but the plumber did not have any idea why it would have leaked again.

Description of Work: Repairs done by the company caused a flood in the bathroom which went through the bathroom floor, into the hallway and caused damage to the ceiling and floor below. Another company came out and set up fans to dry out the water. The second week, they had to drill holes in the ceiling and use other equipment to completely dry the area to ensure no mold problems. When I called to discuss the needed repairs to the ceiling, the manager never called me back. I would NEVER use this company and I tell everyone else to call someone else.

Description of Work: Leaky toilet. Tried to charge me $450 for a tank kit and small pipe in back. 15 min. Work. Fixed just the $5 pipe for $190. Next day leaked again. Came back. Replaced tank kits in two toilets ($30 kits) for $450. Took about 45 min. total. Felt very ripped off. At original quote it would have cost $900 for both kits! Had to haggle price. I am a 66 year old woman in a wheelchair-I felt they took advantage of me.

Description of Work: I called them because of a "overflow" condition in the basement drain. Their man was only able to partially relieve the problem. I then called Roto Rooter who corrected the problem. I called "Len" because I had a coupon. The job was just too big for that company's capabilities.

Description of Work: They responded to a sewer line back up. Plumber pulled a second floor toilet and snaked drain, rather than from the basement where the back up was. | |He claimed he went all the way to,the street. Three months later the drain backed up again. We called and they said, " no guarantee on work" | |They also could not return in a time frame that worked. We used another plumber and they snaked drain from lower level and said that is where it should have been done. The second plumber also ran a video camera feed to show a clear line...all for over $100 less than Len The Plumber.

Description of Work: The service person was clearly not interested in helping me. He made very little effort to diagnose my various plumbing problems and then wanted way too much money to diagnose and fix the problems. I paid the standard service call charge and sent him on his way. Nothing repaired or even diagnosed.
