Len The Plumber, LLC.

He was a master plumber and he saved me a bunch of money. I had a pipe replaced around my shower and they altered my payment plan to save me a lot. HE was very courteous, he had a lot of knowledge and I would use them again if I needed plumbing services. He was on time. I spent about $200.

I have no complaints about our technician. He did a very good job. His adviser even went out of his way to try and find the desired finish on the faucet but it was not in stock. However I felt we were misled into thinking the faucet could be fixed without buying a new one and that the agreed upon service time was not honored. We were repairing our kitchen faucet with a part from the manufacturer and in the process two pieces in the faucet body became crossthreaded. It was late on Saturday of Easter weekend and we were now faced with no working kitchen faucet. My husband called Len and explained the problem and that we only needed those cross threaded parts and asked if they carried these parts on their truck. We were told that the parts were carried on the truck.. They wanted to set up an appointment on Easter morning but we weren't going to be home. However, we said we would be home after 2 pm so the appointment was set for 2-5 pm. They never showed. We called after 6, got the answering service, and left a message asking why they didn't show. Early on Monday we received a call from Len's scheduler in response to an email from the answering service. Apparently we were called by the plumber at 12:30 and 12:45 on Easter and when he got no answer, he didn't come out. What happened to our saying we wouldn't be home until after 2?? The scheduler was very apologetic and gave us a $25 discount on service and rescheduled for that morning 8-12. The plumbers came out as scheduled but when they saw the needed parts said they didn't carry such things on the truck. Since the parts were part of the body of the faucet they said we'd have to buy a whole new faucet - exactly what we were trying to avoid. Why were we originally told they carried the parts when they don't? It leaves you feeling like it was a bait and switch tactic. In the end we had no other choice than to go with a new faucet to get our sink back. They also took the old faucet back with them. There were perfectly good parts still attached to the old faucet and we want it back. Len is aware of this and I hope they honor our request.

They said they needed to replace the hot water heater. I wanted more information about what kind of water heater they were going to install. The company told me they only use 1 type of water heater. It was installed without me knowing anything about the kind of water heater. I had to do my own research to figure out what kind of water heater was installed. Once everything was installed I received a letter in the mail in February saying I needed someone to come inspect the installation within 2 weeks of it being installed. I did not recieved this information until 3 months later. The number on the permits they sent me in the mail had the wrong permit numbers. From there, I contact the company to get the correct permit numbers and to get the final bill to see what they charged me for. I was informed by WSSC I was charged for 2 permits, one for myself and one for someone else that was not me. I e-mailed Led The Plumber and they sent me the correct permit to have it inspected. I had my inspection today, 3/31/15. The inspection was quick and needed to be done, but it was a big inconvenience to get to that point.

They do fine work. We like their company and they are very responsive. They do the work professionally and timely. They came in an knew exactly what needed to done any proceeded to do it but the plumber had the parts on board so he did not have to leave and come back and he figured out what was wrong with the toilet. It was running and needed to have a new part put in it and so he fixed it. He is a very cordial person and we have used them before. We like the fact that we call him and usually they are here as advertised the same day. I would recommend them for their quality of the work and secondly that the same day that you asked them to because usually plumbing problems are problems that you cant have it wait. They would be my first call if I had a plumbing problem.

It was excellent. He did what he had to do I left came home and everything was done. I was very happy.

The second job was to remedy the 1st job, as there was a leaking hot water line that they had replaced new, and they had to return the next day to replace it. I don't feel it was their fault, as it was a defective new supply line that failed. There was several things that were not addressed on the first trip, but were addressed on the second trip to replace the leaking supply line. I felt it was because they are a large company, and that they were slammed that day. I felt a little uncomfortable when I had the leak, as I couldn't shut off the hot water valve, it had rusted open, and had to cut off the main to all the water supply lines until morning. But they did respond the next day and replaced the defective hot water valve. The 3rd day they replaced an old water main valve with a modern updated (code) lever type. They clean up after themselves, and are very courteous while working. Their knowledge is remarkable. Their communications (call takers) are professional, but they need to communicate with each other, as I had two different call takers in their office phone me about their arrival time. I explained that one call taker had already phoned me as to the arrival time. I also had a chance to see their trucks inside and outside, and they were very neat and clean. To me, that says they are neat and professional.

It ended up much worse, we had to hire another provider to fix the issues he caused.

It went well. Edgar was great. They usually come the same day and don't charge extra. They were very responsive.

The plumber said he had never seen a direct vent installation like the one we had. A quick Google search revealed that it is a common installation method. At first he recommended changing the entire water heater (which is <3 years old). When I said No, he then went on to provide an absurd estimate for replacing just the exhaust ($1100 for 2 water heaters!). Right from the get-go, he wasn't interested in performing any repair or diagnostics - he just wanted to get his $49 and leave. Needless to say, I won't be calling this company again.

I contacted Len the Plumber after reading some positive reviews. I scheduled an appointment with Tim who was courteous & professional. I was provided a four hour window that the plumber would come by, and told I would receive a heads up call when they were 20 minutes out. After the four hour window passed, with no one contacting me, I call Len the Plumber again... and was told by Heather, they would be there in one hour or less, that they were delayed on a previous job. After more than an hour passed with no call, I again called Len the Plumber and Heather forgot our conversation... said she would put me through to dispatch to see when they might be able to make it there. Thus, after waiting around for almost 6 hours for Len the Plumber to show up (or even give me a call as common customer service would dictate), I cancelled the appointment and decided to use another plumber. I can't speak to their technical or professional plumbing capabilities...but their customer service, timeliness and overall experiece could not be lower. I won't even reach out to them again.

They wanted to charge me $1069 to buy and install my toilet. That was too much.

The good: They work weekends and showed up promptly when I called. The bad: When he first saw the water heater was ten years old he wanted to charge me $1600 for a new water heater. I told him the only problem was the overflow valve so he agreed to just replace it. It took him about ten minutes to cut the pipe, unscrew the old one and then screw the new one in. He charged me $250! The part is $20 at Home Depot. He told me that they don't bill by the hour but by the job. As best I can figure his hourly rate is about $900/hr, for both the valve and water heater job. I asked if this was his overtime rate but he said it's his standard job price. Unbelievable.

The service went well and they did a nice job. One plumber came out and completed the job in about 45 minutes. They gave some good suggestions of what we could do in the future. They were a little pricey and the cost was higher than we expected. I had no issues scheduling their service and they were pretty accommodating.

I felt overcharged for the service. They did not clean up well after themselves. I feel like they could have been of better assistance when it came to installing the new line. They also did not research the project before starting. They hit a live water line. They ended up stopping before the sewage line because it was on the water companies property. The water did not go through all the way and I ended up having to be charged when it should have been the water company who was charged. I did have some scheduling issues also.

They did the piping service very quickly, but incorrectly. They did come back to apologize and refund our money. I really appreciated their honesty. Their plumbers do excellent work and are very responsive. Their pricing is fair and they are always punctual.

They were able to do the job in about 45 minutes for each visit. I had no problem scheduling the service. They showed up on time and called before coming out.

Did not go so good. They replaced the pipe ok, but the individual that came, spent an hour trying to remove a pipe from the hot water heater, then realized that the pipe was not removable, then went to store to buy a pipe, then wanted to charge me almost 1000 to fix, because they charge by the hour, and we had to wait for his boss to show up, the job was good, but for the price I could have gotten a new water heater.

I was very dissatisfied with the service. I thought the pricing was very high. They also ended up charging us more than what they had quoted over the phone. If I had not really needed the service I would not have used the company. They were very unprofessional. I had no problem scheduling and they did come out right away.

He did a very thorough and professional job with the estimate. He was very honest and told us we did not need a new water heater. He saved us a lot money and was very efficient. I had no problem scheduling the estimate and they showed up on time.

Everything went well. They came out on a Saturday, it was pricey.

I ended up going with a friend who is a license plumber to do the service because Len’s pricing was so high. They were asking $2400 just to disconnect and brought the price down to $1200 after addressing concern about the price. They were going to charge $200 to come out for the estimate but they waved the charge for me. The plumber did come out as scheduled and scheduling was super easy. He was also very polite.

It was my first time using the company. The service went well. One plumber came out and completed the job in under an hour. He did a good job and cleaned up well after the job. I had no problem scheduling the service and they came out right away since I not flush the toilet at all.
