Tom Lucas, CRL, President of Kensington-Wheaton Lock & Security, Inc., is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, who founded the company shortly after his service to his country. We are a "we come to you locksmith service," serving the security needs of the commercial, residential, and industrial client. With being one of the first in the area to obtain the ALOA Certified Locksmith certification, we have ongoing training to provide our clients with professional service. Our goal is to provide the best possible lock and security needs of the community and it shows, as we have been providing the community lock & security services for many many years.

Modern equipped shop on wheels to the job site. Re-keying, master keying, lock & strike upgrades, alarm locks, battery operated push button locks, lock replacement, panic hardware, door closer, push button locks, patio door locks/charlie bars, deadbolt security locking hardware, entry hardware, ADA compliant lever locks, desk & cabinet locks, file cabinet locks, and minor repair for burglaries. Note: Parking must be available in front of job site. WE COME TO YOU MOBILE LOCK SHOP Mon-Friday.

Services we don't offer

Residential door installation, auto lock & lockouts, hard wired A/C,alarms, and apartments/condo's. NOTE: Residential services offered only in the afternoon M-Friday so that we may service our commercial contract clients in the a.m.

Tom was excellent. He was responsive, punctual, professional, and friendly. He was happy to share his knowledge and advice on services that we needed and honest about services we didn't need. Quality service and would highly recommend. Tom is very trustworthy, which was an important quality to me in selecting a locksmith. Tom was courteous on the phone when we set up the appointment to change the locks. He was very prompt (in fact he arrived early) on arrival. Tom was very pleasant while professionally and methodically changing the locks. Tom charges a fair price for quality workmanship. I would definitely hire Tom again and strongly recommend him to anyone in need of quality, professional locksmith services.

Via Angie's list, I e-mailed Kensington-Wheaton Lock & Security Inc Sunday evening. Tom Lucas, the owner responded back Sunday evening and offered to come to the house Monday afternoon. On Monday afternoon, within an hour Tom had replaced the lock and we were good to go. Tom is a Vietnam Marine Veteran and was as professional as can be. I would recommend his services to all.

Tom Lucas of Kensington-Wheaton Lock & Security was very prompt, helpful and professional. He quickly determined the problem with the lock and showed us why it had failed. He offered us a choice of replacement locks and installed quickly the replacement. The price was most reasonable. We were very satisfied, would definitely use this company again and would recommend it highly to friends.

The work went very well. Actually all three doors open, close and lock better than they ever did! The installation of the latch/handleset and other door knobs was very precise with perfect alignment. The work was all done in a very professional manner and very neatly. Tom, the locksmith, was always timely and very cordial and helpful. The price may seem high, but when I consider that it involved three different trips with extensive work on each of the trips; it was justified and definitely worth it!
Description of Work: Latch on handleset on the front door broke. At first, tried to repair existing latch. After latch could not be repaired, had company come back to install a temporary knob and latch so door would operate during repainting. After door was repainted, the locksmith came back, removed the temporary knob and latch and installed the new handleset, re-keyed back door lock to match front door key, install other door knob in entryway to match finish of new handleset and had copies made of new keys. The work involved three different visits as the old handleset had to be removed, I had to get a painter to paint the door and then the locksmith had to come back to install the new handleset once the paint had dried.
