We needed our front brick and concrete 3 level patio entranceway replaced along with work on our entrance walkway. The entranceway had settled and shifted because adequate footings were not put in when the house was built in 1969. The 40 foot long brick and slate walkway from the driveway to the front entrance patio had also settled and shifted. All of the work performed was personally supervised and in several instances performed by Mr. Hernandez - a conscientious family person who made sure the job was done properly. It is always nice to work with a person who takes personal responsibility and pride in his work and is not just a salesman who makes a sale and then is gone. His obvious capability and years of experience in what he does goes beyond what you would expect of a man who is not yet 40.

I needed to remove a shower base/pan in the basement (on a concrete floor). Was going to do it myself, 'til I realized this shower base had been made using concrete (approx. 35 yrs ago). Wasn't sure where to go/who to use, and wound up coming to HomeAdvisor.com, who provided me w. the names of 2 companies/contractors who should be able to remove this concrete shower base. I contacted both contactors, but it was this contractor (Hernandez Stone Work) who followed through right away. My e-mail to him (Pedro) specifed that I'd like to get this done asap - and he was right there for me. Came to the house, that afternoon, to look at the project. Gave me a price quote (which was fine with me!), and his crew came to the house, 3 days later, and within 2 hrs, the concrete shower was gone! So was all the concrete debrie! I couldn't be more pleased! I was expecting a LOT of dust - and the dust is minimal. They did a terrific job - protecting the shower drain pipe, which was unharmed by the concrete removal - and a terrific price, too! What would have taken me probably 6 weeks to do, was accomplished within 2 hrs. Amazing! The crew was fast, hard-working, pleasant, professional... Seriously - I cannot say enough nice things about this group. I will use them again - soon. (Next project? Replacing our concrete driveway.) Hernandez Stone Work is top-notch, and I thoroughly recomment them!

Hernandez Stone Work was professional and timely. They kept me updated in advance of the project start time and showed up on time to begin work. They completed the project within the estimated time as well. The work quality was excellent and they kept the site clean throughout the project. They did brick walkway and step repairs as well as repairs to a flagstone patio.

I have hired lots of contractors for many projects and i understand its not easy to work with them. But with HSW my overall experience was great. I got my patio and front steps done.They took their time and did my concrete patio and steps well. They made sure it was done correct, made all the adjustment and i was very pleased. The came back to make sure i was satisfied and it meant a lot.

Replaced our unattractive and hazardous front walkway with beautiful flagstone. They also fixed a problem with the existing porch steps. We are very pleased with the result, looks great! Pedro and his team were friendly and very professional. We would highly recommend them.

They removal and replacement of my walkway and steps which are built on a slight incline. They were easy to work with and patient with me even though I asked lots of questions. During the project they identified, explained and corrected the cause of the problem and another I didn't know about. I would certainly use their sevices again if I had another job in their field.

Job entailed demolition and replacement of a long brick wall built on a steep incline, also to build a concrete patio and install a safety fence. Brick wall was over 1000 bricks and the incline made the design much more complicated. Pedro and crew worked mostly weekends and evenings in order to move me up in their schedule - something much appreciated by me. End cost was exactly equal to the agreed to proposal - no surprises. Area was cleaned up well at completion. I'm more than satisfied and have recommended Pedro and crew to two other friends.

It's very easy to work with them. Job is nicely done in time. I am happy enough for the job I requested and did ask for another quote for another job (but the second one is beyond my budget, so will have to see). Overall, I am satisfied and appreciate the job.
