When the screen on our SONY television set suddenly went white and ghostlike, I searched Angie's list for a nearby repair company and found the highly rated A-1 TV Sales and Service. When I called, the fellow said that Jeff could come out that afternoon and evaluate the situation. He showed up on time , was very personable, and recommended that we send the set out for about a $280 repair. Since a new set was only $480, we decided to let him buy one for us. He came the following day, set up the unit, took away the 6-year old TV, and charged us just for the COSTCO price of the set. We were very impressed. Jeff is a very savvy repair expert and a real pleasure to work with.

Greatest service ever! Arrived on time, gave me an honest opinion on my old tv and set up my new tv. Wonderful and pleasant. Gave me helpful suggestions on peripherals, I.e., DVD and cable box compatible with new tv. I can't say enough about this family owned business. Would definitely use them in the future and would recommend them without hesitation. They are just the best.

My large flat screen died, just died. World Cup happening, Wimbledon, Tour de France, much television watching coming up. I called A-1, their guys were at my door the next day, a quick exam confirmed their over the phone guess of fried power supply. 3 days later, they were back, 15 minutes later I was back on the couch loving the big screen. They were very professional, friendly, and great to deal with. Every aspect was as advertised and hoped for.

Very well. They tested the tv for over a week, and ultimately provided us with a loaner replacement free of charge as it was taking longer than expected to reproduce the problem in their shop. I would have preferred a little more contact during this process as we didn't hear from them for a couple weeks. Otherwise, everything went very well. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and we now have our repaired tv back home!

First, I want to say that to give a company an A rating, they should go beyond what one would assume is a ?good job?. In other words, if I pay for a service and it was done without issues, the highest rating that I would give is a B. If the provider went above what I would presume the service to be, they deserve an A. A-1 TV Sales & Service went beyond. My 2003 Sharp flat screen TV stopped working. I called A-1 TV Sales & Service. Jeff came out the next day. He diagnosed the problem to be a faulty power supple circuit (which was consistent with what I read about on the internet). He ordered a new one and about 10 days later came out and replaced it. The cost was about $450 (parts, labor and home visit). At the time of installation, he mentioned that he thought the LCD lights might be going up. He left and after turning the TV on and off a few times, the TV would not turn on. He took time to investigate where he could get the lights for this model TV as Sharp no longer provided them. He came back the next day and took the TV monitor away as he had to measure the lights. Not knowing how long it would take, he lent me a 40? Sony flat screen TV. He returned a couple of weeks later with my TV (at no additional cost). It only worked for a short time. Again he came back, took the Sharp away and lent me the Sony again. He contacted Sharp to try to trouble-shoot what the problem could be. The folks at Sharp were stumped. He returned for the final time on 5/10 to take away the tuner part of the Sharp and complete the installation of the Sony. He connected it to the Bose system and DVD/VCR. In addition, he disconnected and removed other components that I really didn?t use; all of this without charging me any more than the initial charge for the purchasing and installation of the power supply circuit. This is what I call going above and beyond expectations as a customer. I would most definitely without hesitation recommend A-1 TV Sales & Service.

They were not able to fix the tv but they looked at it. They were real good. They were pleasant and showed us what the problem was and why it couldn't be fixed.

From my first contact with Zack in the office, to the follow up calls from a pleasant woman in the office to keep me posted of the schedule, to the arrival of Jeff the service tech, my entire experience with A-1 was A+! They were fantastic from start to finish. The price was reasonable and my TV is working great and has never looked any better.

In my opinion, this company and the people who work there are a customer service dream. From my first contact with them to the last, everyone I dealt with was responsive, knowledgable and professional. Zack was able to correctly diagnose the problem using information I provided over the phone, ordered the appropriate replacement unit and provided an accurate estimate of the total cost. When it was clear that the snow storm would delay the projected installation date, he phoned me to schedule it for one day later. On the installation day, I was completely unprepared when the technicians arrived promptly at the top of their two-hour window. That was a first in my experience. They were efficient, professional and extremely helpful. I really enjoyed working with this company.

I'm very appreciative that I was not directed to bring it in. This saved me time and expense.

I was frustrated. I spent $75 and got nothing, not even responsiveness or even, Lord forbid, a bit of empathy that I had to trash my TV. I will certainly not buy a Sony again.

Fantastic! Showed up on time. Extremely professional and courteous. Jeff is simply a great person and a pleasure to work with. He is the opposite of the typical contractor (he is clean cut and friendly) and a person you would invite over for dinner. I was consider just replacing the TV, but I am glad I saved $2,000+. The technicians arrived within hours of my call and quickly found the problem, saving us from having to replace the TV.

Jeff did a great job determining the issue with my TV and repairing it. He was punctual, competent and friendly. I would definitely use them again if I had any service issues with my TV!

Excellent. Refreshing to have a service provider understand the importance of creating trust right from the first call. Samsung didn't send them the repair order so we followed up with Samsung to have it reassigned. They had the set repaired in under 48 hours.

They were personable, and knowledgeable. They walked us through the repairs they were making.

The tech came out to diagnose the problem. The part was ordered and then the Owner came to out fix the TV. Very professional team.

They performed the fix without complaint it worked. I was very happy...

I have a 32" Vizio TV that loss sound. I contacted A-1 TV and two techs came out the next day and took the TV back to the shop to repair it. Because the TV was an old plasma it took a couple of weeks for the part to come in. It was worth the wait. The TV is as good as new.

Fast, Professional and on time!

I found A-1 on "Angie's List," (I found Angie's List on TV App called "Viggle") Very prompt response & accommodating for the appointment time. Techs were Fernando & Steve came to repair a wall mounted 32" Spectroniq (Protron) TV. I had previously purchased the necessary part on my own years ago. They were here less than a half an hour. TV is fixed and working. I needed to supply a ladder for them to access the TV. They were very helpful moving some furniture away from the wall to access the TV. They put everything back to normal before they left. The only negative comment I have is that i think they should have honored the $50 coupon (did not expire until Feb 2014) showing on Angie's List. Didn't see AARP discount until I started this review. I am not trying to be stingy, on a fixed income it's hard & every penny counts. I also thought that since I supplied the part and they were only here for a half hour, they might have given me a little price break. All in all a good experience :0)

The TV repair guys showed up a little early, which was OK. Both men were very knowledgeable and knew immediately what was wrong. The repair was completed quickly. I also have problems when I want to watch a DVD. The player doesn't connect the first time I try. I asked about this. The guy told me that this is a common problem. The DVD player apparently has issues communicating with the TV. He said only very new equipment does this well. So as long as I can get it to work I shouldn't worry about it.

Sony used to be the top tier TV. Apparently I was lucky the LCD screen lated 5 years.

Jeff showed up on time, knew what the problem was. Ordered the part and installed it on site when it arrived. TV works great. We are very happy we did not have to replace this very expensive TV.

I was not able to get the panel replaced by Sony so I was not able to fix the problem but the technician, as I said above, was very clear about the options I had - it was either Sony replacing the Panel or my having to buy a new TV.

I believe that A1 TV sales is a good company. I would use them again if I ever have issues with any of the TVs I own. In this situation, I really didn't get a chance to evaluate their workmanship because the TV was not repairable.
