Family owned since 1957. We have 5 employees including two service technicians. We do in home repairs and also offer in shop repairs. Sorry you're not happy, but we do repairs. If the parts are either not available or not economical for repair, we typically recommend people to purchase new units. If you were a warranty customer, contact your warranty company if the unit was deemed not-economical to be repaired or not repairable. Have a happy holiday season

Description of Work: They came and diagnosed the problem with my Samsung plasma TV very quickly, had to order a part, and said they would call me when it came in. Part was received in 5 days-the only issue was that I called them to schedule the return visit for the repair, and they said they would call me back (the scheduler was unavailable when I called), and the message did not get passed on. No biggie-I called back, they scheduled the repair and then came and installed the part in about 30 minutes. TV works great, very happy with their service.

My large-screen tv went did so I checked Angies list and called A-1. They came out immediately and located the problem immediately which was that the set needed a replaced chassis. They were very nice, took care of the problem very quickly and gave me a 90 day warranty. I would highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: I would highly recommend this company. They were punctual, polite and very knowledgeable about repairing my large-screen television. They found the problem quickly and replaced the part quickly.

The service was great! They new exactly what they were doing and understood the specs of the particular TV
Description of Work: I called and the service technicians showed up the next day. They immediatley new the problem and showed the defective part to me. Because it was the FIFA tournament, they new how much I wanted to have my big screen tv running and tried to get the part to me before the weekend. Unfortunately, it couldn't get to me until that Monday but they were there as soon as the part arrived at their shop. They were prompt, professional and very friendly. Hopefully my TV won't go out again but if it does, I will definitely be calling them.

This company was excellent. I left a voice mail message that was was returned within 20 minutes. The company arrived within 30 minutes and replaced the lamp within 10 minutes. I've never gone from service call to resolution within 1 hour. I'll definitely keep their phone number handy for future TV repairs.

Overall, it was a positive experience. The technicians were very professional, explained what they were doing and didn't mind me standing over them and asking questions. My only complaint would be that they arrived 2 hours later than the window they provided me for their arrival. However, they did stay in contact with me during the delay in arriving.
Description of Work: Repair of a 55 in Toshiba TV. I did not have a picture, but still received sound. It turned out to be a blown fuse.

The part came in and they were great about working around my schedule so I didn't have to take time off from work since I'm single and have no one to depend on but myself. The service technician came and and was extremely professional. He did the work in a short amount of time, tested all channels including HD. He asked if I was happy I was and off he went. I would highly recommend A-1 TV again and again and again.
Description of Work: I have a 65 inch Mitsubishi DLP TV. The repair men showed up and immediately put me at easing by telling me they would be able to fix the TV and I would have to give a kidney or leg to get it done. Everyone at work told me that I should be prepared to just purchase another TV. They found the problem in less than 5 minutes but said they would have to order the part.

Very nice. Very fair. He came right out, diagnosed the problem and tried to help. He later informed me that the television repairs were too expensive to do. If I have to buy a new television, I will buy a Sony.

Utterly nightmarish! First, he noticed a speck of black dirt on my screen, and w/o warning put his finger in his mouth and used it to flick the dirt away. When I protested, he said, "hey, I've got 25 years in the business-would I do anything wrong?!" Then he addressed my issue, which is light brown patches on people's skin. He gave me what amounted to contradictory diagnoses, told me the set is working fine (which it most certainly is not), amd said he has less than 5 minutes more until he has to leave for his next call, and that's just what he did. His manner was intimidating and arrogant, and I was left angry enough to punch the wall.
Description of Work: Respnded to a call from my ext. warranty service on my 40" flat LCD Sony. All he actually did was to press "reset" on my remote for Video adjustments--this puts it at factory settings.
