Damien was wonderful. I contacted Home advisor after reading prior reviews. They said they would contact Mack's and have them return my call. I was concerned that he won't travel to York, but Damien called me within an hour, asked thorough questions about my house and gave me an estimate over the phone. He was very flexible and worked with me on the time and date. He arrived promptly and went right to work. He cleaned the ducts, furnace and the dryer vent. I couldn't be happier. He took the time to check that the dryer worked properly, showed me how to adjust the vents to get maximum coverage, corrected a vent that was on backwards and worked to figure out why one wasn't worked as well. I have already given his name to a friend and would certainly recommend him to others and I will definitely work with him again. Very thorough and professional.

Damien did a great job cleaning out my ducts- he was there all afternoon, showed me a few problems with my ducts that the previous owner had screwed up on, and pulled out a ridiculous number of odds and end that had ended up in the vents. His service was cheaper than another I compared it to, and he did great work. I'd like to say a note on customer service, though- I scheduled a noon appointment with him on a Monday when I was working from home. Noon comes and goes, no show. I get a message at 12:20 saying he'll be there about 40 minutes late. Okay, fine, I'm still here working. I call him back, no answer, and say to come on over at 1. It gets to 1:45 and still no call back and no one's shown up. At this point we're getting close to the end of my workday and I need to leave the house around 3:30. I call again and he says he'll be leaving Baltimore in 15 minutes. So he was going to show up at 3:00 for a noon appointment?! I said let's just reschedule, it's too late for me. So he we agreed on Wednesday, when I wouldn't be home but my father would be. [My father was visiting, so this worked out, but I would have preferred to be there myself, and if my father hadn't been visiting I would have had to take a day off work] At the end of the call, he called me "sweetie." Quite unprofessional and very awkward. So overall Damien does great work, but the customer service could be improved.

I hired Macks from reccomendations I read on Home Advisor and we couldn't be more pleased! After reading all of the nightmare experiences of people that had their ducts cleaned, I was aware of the potential pitfalls, scams, upsells and shoddy work. His prices are right in the middle (about $295.) and he seemed to do everything that the $500-$850. companies do. (Be wary of the $69. outfits, as they will hit you with upsells as soon as they hit the door, from what I read). Damien (owner) gave me a price over the phone after some questions about my heating unit. We had 3 floors with about 18 ducts. (He didn't charge by the duct like some do) He arrived on time with a 20 minute courtesy call. He had a professional newish Van. He used a large commercial grade vacuum machine (not a Shop Vac like you read about on line) with a twirling brush attachment that went down each vent. He was very through, even meticulous, and seemed almost proud as he showed me how much dust and dander he was accumulating. He explained how and why he did each step. He was a a kind and courteous fellow and cleaned up after himself. He "fogged" my duct system to treat for mold (an add-on by other companies). I like that Damien is the owner of his own business (for 20 years) AND that he did his own work. He had a flash light and showed me my the very clean inside of my main heating trunk upon completion. We paid at the end of the job after he was sure we were satisfied. I highly recommend him!

Mack's was professional and completely explained process. They arrived on time and explained each step as they went. Damien was knowledgeable, professional and courteous as all times. We will be using him again when we need future duct cleaning

Damien arrived 3 hours later than the 2PM plan however he kept us apprised of his progress along the way. He was well worth the wait -- he is knowledgeable, thorough, competent and professional. He advised us of an venting issue not meeting code and then stayed until our job was complete (vent blockage cleared) even though it took several hours to solve. My clothes have never dried better and my laundry time has reduced by 2/3! I'm glad we didn't try to tackle this project ourselves.

Now a days you do not find someone so dedicated and committed towards their work. We are very happy and satisfied with the work was done at our house. He made sure all the ducts are cleaned properly. We will definitely recommend Mack's Home Services.

I had Air Ducts & Vents cleaned. I was very satisfied with Damien... Mack's Home Services! He called prior to coming and informed me of his arrival time. He explained in detail and showed me all the dust in our ducts. He answered all my questions and gave me useful suggestions about my ducts. He cleaned up all mess and had a great personality.
