Tech found that the LED lamps I had previously installed in closer were interfering with the remote signals. We changed out the lamps and system works fine. He also lubricated the mechanisms and ensured system was in good working condition.

The springs broke on a Friday morning. Julio came on Saturday (maybe overtime for him, but no extra fee for us), and replaced the springs in less than an hour. I used this company initially about five years ago, and will use them again in the future for garage door issues. Finally, I'm impressed that their labor fee is a flat rate, whether the work takes 20 minutes or a few hours.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Gaithersburg Garage Door, and I am generally a tough customer. From my initial call (thanks for the help, Gabrielle!) to the conclusion of the repair, everything was excellent. The service person Julio was on time, polite, assessed and explained the problem to me, and presented repair options. My opener had a bad circuit board, so options were to replace the board or install a new opener. Julio priced a new opener and, after determining a new circuit board was available for my 20+ year old opener, priced that as well. After I chose a new circuit board, he explained that one of my openers would not work with the new board (fine with me). Then he installed the new board in 30 minutes or less. In addition to solving the circuit board problem, Julio answered a couple of questions I had about my current opener and also tightened and lubricated all the garage door hinges and the door tracks. (Neither of these tasks were related to the service issue but he did them anyway, unasked.) I initially called GGD because of their excellent reputation. Based on my experience, that reputation is entirely deserved.

The entire process was smooth and pain free. They came out to give an estimate within an hour of my call. My options were presented without any pushy sales pitch. They took their time and answered all of my questions. The price was right in line with what I had expected based off of Angie's Price estimate and I got a discount for being an Angie's member. I selected insulated doors with windows and openers with WiFi connection. The doors & openers arrived right on the anticipated date and installation was quick and well explained throughout. He also did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. The installer was very patient with all of my questions, set up the remotes and exterior access panel for me and even walked me through the process of setting up the app on my smart phone to control the door remotely. I couldn't be any happier with the entire process from start to finish. I dealt with 4 different folks at the company and all were very nice and great to deal with. I would highly recommend using them.

The new doors look great! The sales team is professional and knowledgeable. The installer, punctual and thorough. The entire process went smoothly.

I called Gaithersburg Garage Door and explained the problem and they quoted the cost to repair the springs. Technician came the next day and even arrived early. Not only did he repair the torsion springs but he also lubricated the opener screw drive. The opener is now quieter than before. The repair cost was exactly what they quoted with no additional cost. They did a great job!

The service call went very well. The technician was on time and went over a few items with me. He also gave me a quote for a new garage door since ours is over 20 years old and is very noisy.

Perfect. Work was done less than 3 hours from the time I called to make the appointment. Also adjusted door travel and replaced weather seal on bottom edge of door, at my request.

The work was done early at our request because the current system was broken. The new system was installed and works great.

The technician first made an attempt to fix the old opener. It worked for a few times but then stopped working again. He ordered the new opener and replaced them quickly and even set the built in opener in my car for me.

The team did a good job and I would use them again.
